Outdoor Gearzine has been keeping up with the ever-evolving new products since the site was launched, and this season is no exception, packed with unique and groundbreaking ideas and plenty of tricky items. Let's take a look at some of the most noteworthy items

It's incredibly light, yet provides grip and traction on hard rock, with a well-cushioned midsole, an upper that offers the perfect balance of durability and breathability, and best of all, an integrated stretch gaiter
I know I'm biased, but for me, my ideal trail running shoes are not just for regular low-mountain trail running, but also for something that's durable and lightweight enough to be used for the approach and descent of stream climbing, and these shoes are perfect for me. Atom SL Hoody: Lightweight insulation updated for a more active fit
The Atom series has grown into Arc'teryx's signature insulation through meticulous updates to keep up with the times, and this season's Atom SL Hoody is a lightweight, active insulation designed for comfort while on the move, perfect for long periods of time, even during the snow-free season. The body and back are lined with 100% recycled Coreloft™ insulation, the arms and sleeves are lined with breathable Fortius™ Air20 nylon, and the side panels are lined with 1mm brushed Octa® fleece, exclusive to Arc'teryx, ensuring lightness, warmth, and breathability
It's a packable type that can be stored in a pocket, so it looks like it would be useful throughout Japan's long green season, from outdoor wear during the remaining snow season to extra warmth in the summer
Delta Jacket: A next-generation fleece jacket packed with Arc'teryx's attention to detail (starting with FW24)
Strictly speaking, this has been available since the 24FW season, but we've picked it out because it's a next-generation fleece that embodies Arc'teryx's commitment to quality
Working closely with Teijin, which has made a splash in the market with its OCTA, this mid-layer combines the highly durable outer fabric "DELTAPEAK™" with short-pile (1mm) OCTA, providing a good balance of the lightness, warmth, breathability, stretchability, and durability required for mountaineering and climbing
Of course, Arc'teryx is the only company using this highly customized OCTA fabric. What sets it apart is that it goes beyond simply using fabric and goes deeper
Kopec Gore-tex: Lightweight, comfortable, and durable hiking boots and shoes designed with fast hiking in mind
It's been just over 10 years since Arc'teryx entered the footwear market with their revolutionary two-layer construction in 2015. When you step into the latest model of lightweight hiking shoes, the Kopec Gore-tex, you can't help but be impressed by how much they've refined in just 10 years
The reason is that when I tried them on, I felt that they were simple and not bulky, but they fit well without any pressure, with a roomy toe box, soft padding, and other features that made them incredibly comfortable to wear. Compared to the early, more edgy styles, they are now easy to wear and can be accepted by everyone
The lightness is also excellent, and the outsole has Megagrip + Litebase for reliable grip, and the sole pattern seems strong enough to withstand strong steps. The price difference between the shoes and other brands is somewhat smaller than the clothing, so I'm looking forward to it

Even though they have become such a fashionable brand, one of the reasons why we still cannot help but respect Arc'teryx is that they continue to pursue products that are fully focused on functionality for core activities such as climbing, rather than focusing solely on sales
The new 2025 Spring/Summer "Serratus Hoody/Pant" is a more technical, active softshell model that takes the Gamma series, the classic softshell series, and refines it. It features a highly articulated pattern, underarm and underarm panels for lightness and breathability, and a helmet-compatible hood, all designed for comfort in more active situations. A women's model and matching pants will also be released
Gamma Pant / Gamma SL Pant: Versatile softshell pants with detailed updates
As I've written many times, my starting trekking pants have always been Arc'teryx. There are various models, but the most classic and versatile is the Gamma series of softshell pants
The three-season Gamma and the summer Gamma SL have been slightly lighter, with a better fit at the back and easier-to-operate buckles, among other subtle updates
Norvan Jacket: A rain shell jacket for fast hikes and runs with enhanced functionality and refinement, including a watch window and packable pockets
The Norvan series is the most minimalist, thinnest, and lightest running model among Arc'teryx rain shells, offering lightweight construction without compromising comfort or durability. While there haven't been any major changes, the Norvan has undergone a steady evolution with the upgrade to a GORE-TEX ePE membrane. The membrane is now thinner and more flexible, and the fabric has been upgraded from 13D to 15D for slightly increased durability
The basic pattern remains the same, but the single-color design gives it a more minimalist look. It also has a packable pocket under the armpit, making it easier to carry around
There is also the long-awaited watch window on the cuff (men's only)
The hood is now more adjustable, making it even more functional than the previous model
Kragg Cotton Pant: A 4-way stretch cotton-nylon plain weave 5-pocket pant perfect for everyday wear
Finally, here's an extra item that really caught my eye. The new "Kragg Cotton Pant" is a climbing-related item in the lineup that is also suitable for everyday use. It really caught my eye
The 4-way stretch cotton-nylon blend and pattern are unmistakable, as you'd expect from Arc'teryx, and the ultimate comfort is guaranteed. The three-dimensional cut and sophisticated silhouette make it perfect for work or casual camping
Although this is not an exhaustive list, I have introduced some of the items that caught my eye in the 25SS season.
