It's been a while since the last time, so it's time to update our outdoor video collection!
Drone videos and time-lapse videos, which have been featured in this column for some time, have been getting a lot of attention in the media, and frankly, it's a bit scary. While the safety and business aspects are certainly important, this dichotomy is clearly unbalanced. Hopefully, this trend isn't nipped in the bud in the bud by ignoring the advances in science and technology and the new visual culture it represents. Anyway, with that out of the way, let's take a look at some amazing outdoor videos from around the world

Remembering the Kathmandu of the past Nepal – Kathmandu
The recent Nepal earthquake took the lives and hopes of many mountaineers and outdoor enthusiasts, as well as the daily lives of everyone . Although a month has passed since then, and news coverage has significantly decreased, the reality is that nothing is over yet; in fact, even greater hardships lie ahead. Those of us who lived through the tragedy of 2011 know this. That's why, in addition to providing material support, we must never forget the importance of "not forgetting," something we can all do. While traveling in the United States in 2012, I was so happy and grateful when several people who remembered the earthquake asked me if I was OK. With this in mind, I would like to present this video, dedicated to all those who love Kathmandu. We have no choice but to accept both the vibrant and peaceful Kathmandu depicted in this video and the current Kathmandu depicted on the linked page above, and move forward.
Below are some of the recipients of support for the Nepal earthquake
- Japanese Red Cross Society
- Yahoo! Online Donations
- Montbell Outdoor Volunteer Team
- Ken Noguchi Himalayan Earthquake Fund
The latest climbing video from Ashima Shiraishi, a 13-year-old girl who has amazed the world
A video of Shiraishi Ashima, a New York-based female climber who has won the US Bouldering Championship four times in a row, has been released of her latest challenge. This time, she took advantage of spring break to tackle the Santa Linya Cave in Spain. While this description alone gives the impression of a relaxed 13-year-old, the route she attempted was 9a/+, a level that would be extremely difficult even for an adult professional. Be sure to check out her aggressive moves, which are hard to imagine given her slightly languid expression. For more details, click here .
Places you want to visit before you die Chamonix 2014
Chamonix is a major outdoor resort town that is home to Mont Blanc, Europe's highest peak. It is said that the sport of mountaineering began when Mont Blanc was first climbed in 1786, making it a sacred place also known as the birthplace of mountaineering. The video itself is quite ordinary, but I find myself watching it over and over again as one of the places I want to visit someday. Backcountry skiing!
Interesting Facts about Gas Cartridges Camping gas test at -8C
This video compares different gas cartridges in the same environment. What's interesting is that cartridges that perform well when the tank is full can sometimes fail completely when the capacity is low. Among them, Primus's stable performance is impressive
Not just a resort, but a natural landscape. Whistler Deep Sky II
This time-lapse video captures the natural scenery of Whistler, a famous ski resort in Western Canada, from various angles, showcasing the fantastic contrast of light and darkness. It leaves a strong impression that nature never stays the same
A hidden gem in Spain: NAVARRE, THE LAND OF LIGHT
From the desolate landscape that resembles the Arizona wilderness to the mossy streams and lush pastures... what a spectacular view!? After some research, I discovered it was in a place called Navarra in northern Spain. It's a completely unfamiliar place (famous for the Running of the Bulls?). Let yourself be captivated for a moment by the clear scenery, which wouldn't look out of place in a commercial. Even so, this type of video, along with the generic music (which I don't really like), seems to be all the rage outside of Japan
This week's Tamahyun video No. 1 BASE Jumpers Final Flight
Base jumping is perhaps the craziest sport in the world, involving jumping off cliffs, buildings, or other high places wearing a wingsuit, a flying squirrel-like suit with a parachute. Here's an incredibly exhilarating video of Australian base jumper Nathan Jones, a world leader in base jumping. However, please be aware that the video is extremely impressive and should be viewed with caution
This week's Tamahyun video #2 INSANE Downhill Mountain Bike POV
Viewer discretion is advised. A mountain biker is seen at an impossible angle climbing a hill that would make you hesitate to even step off! It's a kind of viral video, but it's far more courageous and pure than a simple show-off like mixing coke with ◯◯
