Last time I visited the atelier, from the mountains to hot springs.

Then we head to the campsite, which will be our accommodation for today.
We arrived at the campsite, which is almost on the summit.
First, I went to the reception desk, but I can even walk from below, but I'm grateful that I can drive this far.
To the front desk, this is the Jinmagatayama Campground!
Campsite original items
Bear... Badgetail rabbit!? Meat that you wouldn't normally see
There are also plenty of alcoholic drinks you've never seen before. Additionally, you can order food and drinks, making it a fulfilling experience that makes you hard to believe you're on top of the mountain. Incidentally, roads are closed during winter, so access is not possible except by walking.

The toilets are so clean and firm that you wouldn't expect to see at an altitude of over 1,000 meters, so you can rest assured. Now that we have finished accepting reservations, we would like to set up today's accommodation on our website.
This time, the main character, the backpacking shelter, is here! First of all, there is something special about the storage size: it fits perfectly with one hand, and the . Although it is actually a little more compact, Kitamura doesn't like the fact that it becomes a storage bag that is too small to use and shows off its small size.
At first, I was planning to go without a storage bag, so I think the best thing to do is ask the user to find a bag that is easy to use, so in reality it can be compressed even more.
The main fabric is made of three layers of hardshell material (!), so it is supple and thin, so it doesn't take up much space. This means that the compression rate when folded is overwhelmingly compact compared to typical tents and shelters, and its body weight is approximately 450g, making it extremely lightweight.
The dedicated carbon pole shown in the image is an optional item. Other pegs and guy lines are not included, so you will need to prepare them. This product only includes the main unit and storage bag.
Now let's have Kitamura teach you how to stitch. First, we've unfolded the main unit and then peg down the four corners.
That's not the same as normal. I thought so, but that's where it's different! Yes, the fabric of the 3-layer hard shell is 4-way stretch! This means that you can use its stretchy properties to apply even more tension than regular fabrics. I think you can see how excited you are from the image too.
Once the peg down on the four corners is completed, the poles are set up at two points. If the length is right, trekking poles can be used as surrogates, which are equivalent to other companies' products.
It would be easier to set up from the entrance side, first, one side, and the entrance is only on one side. That's a small thing to be careful about when setting up.
The back side is also set up to complete the basic shape. The dedicated pole is deliberately set to a slightly longer position and does not have an adjustment function, but it can be simulated by offsetting the tent towards the inside of the tent as appropriate, so it is not a problem from Kitamura. Since it is a floorless shelter, I personally recommend laying it on first if you are using a fully-surface ground sheet. It's a half-Japanese version and can be used half-base, so Kitamura used that version.
This is the basic type, but if you want to increase the strength against rain and wind, it would be better to peg down the gauge line through the gauge points in two directions above the long side, which will put more tension on it, and it goes without saying that it would be better to do it. The Guy Point is made of Kodawari leather. So, if it's the basic type, prepare four pegs, and if it's a solid setup, six pegs and two recommended lengths of around 2 to 2.5m.
Setup is complete, how about it simple and beautiful! It's truly a subtraction aesthetic.
And yet, this floor size is sufficient. It can be used comfortably for one person, but it is a shelter that can be used easily for two people, and yet it looks strangely small from the outside. The setup time is simple and easy and intuitive, so once you get used to it, it won't take 5 minutes. The opposite is also the case, and this factor is also a strong point against time and weather.
Kitamura also joined us here to set up the world's first simultaneous backpacking shelters. Also, as mentioned earlier, the fact that you can apply more tension to various places than regular fabric means that the silhouette when set up is less likely to fall apart, so it maintains its beauty as is and is resistant to rain. The fabric is always tight, so it's easy to understand if you say that it's the same as an umbrella that doesn't allow the rain to pass through. Of course, the performance of the fabric itself is amazing, and it is a domestically produced 3-layer waterproof and breathable material (water pressure resistance: 9000mm≦JIS A, moisture permeability: 4000mg/24h JIS A-1, 8000mg/24h JIS B-1), and yet it is an incredible number when compared to typical tents and shelter fabrics.
We were both able to get some time to set up as they were all set up. As I was doing it, the weather seemed to change only during the night.
It has been created between Kitamura's shelter and the living room, and since it's a camping horse, it's a luxurious space. Well, I felt a little hungry, so I headed to the front desk where we had the reception desk and the mountain hut.
When I visited earlier, I saw the menu and was curious.
Mushroom potage! Before I ordered it, I had imagined that there were a lot of mushrooms... but it was a thick soup that blended in with everything, and it was an exquisite dish.
Kitamura had a drink of beer that caught my eye.
Then we returned to the site and were taken aback until dusk, and we headed for dinner time.
For me, I wondered what this was like! Kitamura prepared the...
Naan curry with keema curry and naan! Kitamura's imagination is wonderful. I've never thought about doing this on the mountain, hey. I was able to assist with that with the burner I own, and it was so delicious.
The next night, the single wall is a single wall so if there is a light inside, it will be quite transparent, so if you're interested, you may be interested.
It's a bit embarrassing to say it's a bit like a man's room (lol) As predicted, it opened late at night when it started raining, and as it didn't get too far, there was no rainwater coming in from below, so it was comfortable until the morning. But since it's a single-wall shelter, there's almost no fighting against condensation.
Since it is made of shell fabric, it is breathable too! That's the benefit of the 3-layer hard shell. Also, Kitamura's exquisite sidewall angle design makes it look strange that even slight water droplets on the inner wall flow smoothly down the wall and continue to flow beautifully down the wall, without falling vertically. The dripping water also seems to be more rainwater from above than condensation. This is because Kitamura's idea at the time stated that materials that deteriorate as quickly as possible were not introduced, and the fact that they were not sealed, which may be the place they like.
I was the only one who thought it would be fine to seam the top side, so I later proposed it and replied that I was searching for a good spot, so there is a possibility that the specifications may change in the future.
However, it is also true that there is no problem as long as it is not raining very much. And this may be the only single wall shelters in Japan that don't have to fight condensation at all...
I used it more than 10 times as a test, but it doesn't condense more than a bad double-wall tent, and on the contrary, there have been many times when I couldn't condense at all (!). This is only within the author's scope of use.
And so, it's morning, feeling the power of the backpacking shelter.
Since I had the chance, I headed to the summit of Mt. Jinbagata, which is about five minutes from the early morning site.
Come to the light with a refreshing look! It wasn't like that, but instead, the Great Cloud Sea!
After enjoying the sea of clouds, I had a light breakfast and then left, which is once again embarrassing (bitter smile). This is the same inside and only the backpacking shelter has been removed, but don't you think this is an attractive 450g curtain that can be deployed inside the shelter and is waterproof and breathable, so you can't help but think of it as attractive? I think it will be a great weapon for those who don't have any resistance to floorless designs.
What did you think so far: CLASS EXPOSITIONS and Backpacking Shelter. I wonder if there are any gear enthusiasts who are not captivated by the beauty of this appearance and its performance, but I couldn't believe it. This is a dish full of charm, so next time I'll return to the Atelier and delve into CLASS EXPOSITIONS, backpacking shelter, and Kitamura-san, so please continue to support me!
