Outdoor Gearzine "Outdoor Gearzine"

Check out Arc'teryx 2025 Spring/Summer items. The aesthetics of thorough functionality were still alive and well.

Arcteryx, a brand that continues to lead the outdoor gear industry with its innovative functionality and sophisticated design, recently participated in the 2025 Spring/Summer Model Exhibition for press.

Outdoor Gearzine has been catching up with ever-evolving new releases since the start of the site, but this season, as always, there are plenty of items that are packed with unique and groundbreaking ideas, and are not as easy as ever. I'll start reporting on the most popular items.

VERTEX SPEED: Perfect running shoes for mountain runs that contain some technical terrain

It's extremely light yet has grip and traction on hard rocky areas, yet has ample cushioning midsole, an upper that is best balanced for durability and breathability, and most importantly an integrated stretch gaiter.

I'm aware that this is biased, but for me, my ideal shoe for trail running shoes is not just for normal low mountain trail running, but also for a type that is both robust and lightweight so that it can be used as an approach to climbing a stream and as a descending shoe, but for me, this shoe is perfect. By the way, the outsoles are stable Vibram Megagrip and Litebase!

Atom SL Hoody: Lightweight insulation updated to fit more active usage

The Atom series has been developed as a representative Arc'teryx insulation, with detailed updates to suit the times, and this season's "Atom SL Hoody" is an active insulation that is thin and designed to provide comfort while moving, and is likely to be useful for a long period of time during the snow-free season. The body and back are made of thin, 100% recycled Coreloft™ padded, breathable Fortius™ Air20 nylon from the arms to the sleeves, and the side panels are made of 1mm brushed Octa® fleece, which is only used by Arc'teryx, for lightness, heat retention and breathability.

It is a packable type that can be stored in a pocket, so it looks easy to use in the long green season in Japan, from clothing during the remaining snow season to warming up the summer.

Delta Jacket: Next-generation fleece jacket packed with Arc'teryx's specialties (from 24FW)

Strictly speaking, this one was released in the 24FW season, but we've picked it up once again as a next-generation fleece packed with Arc'teryx's seriousness.

In a close collaboration with Teijin, who is bustling the market with OCTA, the mid-layer combines the durability of the outer fabric "DELTAPEAK™" with short pile (1mm) OCTA, and combines a mid-layer with a balanced combination of "lightness", "heat retention", "breathability", "stretchability", and "durability" necessary for mountain climbing and climbing.

Of course, only Arcteryx is currently used with this highly customized OCTA fabric. It's not just about using fabric, but about how you can delve deeper into it.

Kopec Gore-tex: Lightweight, comfortable, and durable hiking boots and shoes with detailed ingenuity in mind for fast hiking

It's been about 10 years since Arcteryx began entering the footwear field in 2015 with its groundbreaking two-layer structure. When you look at the latest model of this lightweight hiking shoe, the Kopec Gore-tex, you can't help but feel the excitement of how sophisticated it has been in 10 years.

That's why I felt when I tried on the shoes, but it was simple, yet simple, fitted and not overly oppressive, with a loose toe box, soft pads, and other features that made it look terrifyingly comfortable toe. Unlike the early days of sharpness, it is easy to wear so that everyone can accept it.

It's also perfect for lightness, and the outsole is Megagrip + Litebase, so it has a sole pattern that makes it easy to grip and is strong even when stepping on. The price is slightly smaller than clothing, and the difference between shoes and other brands is also quite small, so I'm looking forward to it.

Serratus Hoody/Pant: A soft shell specializing in ease of movement and comfort during climbing, including calculated articulation patterns, stretching, and fabric use.

One of the reasons why it makes you feel like you're still forced to respect Arc'teryx, even if it's just this stylish brand, is that it continues to pursue products that are fully functional for core activities such as climbing, without taking a full view of the selling point.

The new 25SS product, "Serratus Hoody / Pant," is a model that further refines the Gamma series, the classic softshell series to date, into a technical, active softshell. It is fully designed to provide more comfortable in active situations, such as a strong three-dimensional cutting pattern, a side-to-sleeve cut that is light and breathable, and a helmet-compatible hood. Pants will also be released to match women's models and jackets.

GammaPant / Gamma SL Pant: Versatile softshell pants with updated details

As I have written many times, my own style of arch-teryx style of stance wrecking pants have been both Arc'teryx and still are. There are a variety of models available, but the most orthodox and versatile standard is the Gamma series of softshell pants.

The Gamma for the three seasons and the Gamma SL for the summer have been slightly lighter, a better fit on the back, and a more detailed update to make the buckle easier to operate.

Norvan Jacket: A rainshell jacket for fast hiking and running with a more functional refinement, including watch windows and packable pockets.

The Norvan series is the most minimalist, thin and lightweight Arcteryx rainshell that does not compromise comfort and durability, but although there have been no major changes, it has evolved and steadily improved with the update to the GORE-TEX ePE membrane. The thinner and more supple membrane makes the fabric even more durable from 13D to 15D.

The basic pattern remains the same, but the solid color design gives it a more minimalist look. It has a packable pocket under the armpits making it easier to carry around.

The long-awaited watch windows on the cuffs (men's only).

It can be said that functionality has been further improved from the previous model, with improved hood adjustment.

Kragg Cotton Pant: 4-way stretch cotton nylon plain weave 5-pocket pants that are sure to be useful for everyday use

Finally, there's a special edition and a touching item. The new Kragg Cotton Pant has been a hit in the climbing lineup, which is also designed to be used everyday.

The 4-way stretch cotton/nylon blend is sure to be Arcterix's pattern, making it a guaranteed perfect fit. Although it was cut into three-dimensional shapes, it seemed to go perfectly with work or light camping.

Although not all of the above, I have introduced some of the items that caught my eye during the 25SS season that caught my eye. All of these items are worth noting that show attention to detail, which is truly Arc'teryx, and I would like to review them if I get the chance. If you find an item that interests you, why not check out the official website?
