[Polartech's story you can only hear here] Event archive video (part 1) will be released [9/28 Rab special tickets are also on sale]

There are just a little over two weeks until the fourth offline talk event hosted by Outdoor Gearzine, where we invite real guests to share a fun time with everyone. The event will feature the up-and-coming British outdoor brand "Rab." Preparations are progressing steadily, and we will report on that at a later date, but for now, we would like to share the first part of an archived video that summarizes the previous event, "All About Polartec," which has been posted on YouTube

Last time, we talked about a somewhat nerdy topic, not items or brands, but "materials," but we were able to fully enjoy the depth of the outdoors, learning previously unknown facts and behind-the-scenes information about familiar outdoor gear, as well as the latest information. If you're looking forward to the next event, or just want to get a feel for the atmosphere at the actual event, be sure to check it out

We are now accepting entries for the 4th talk event on Thursday, September 28th!

Theme: We'll hear plenty of stories from people who know Rab the best and love him, about his charm and abilities that can only be heard here.

What is Rab?

Rab started in 1981 when Robert Carrington began making high-quality, functional down and sleeping bags in his attic in his home in 1981. Reflecting his years of mountain experience and original ideas, the product quickly gained popularity from friends and local mountain climbing communities, and has continued to grow from this, starting with down products, and continues to expand into a wide range of mountain activities including mountain climbing, alpine, climbing, trekking, hiking, running, biking and skiing, and into a wide range of items in a variety of categories, including sleeping bags, mats, shelters, apparel and backpacks. With its belief in "products used in the world's most harsh environments," he is always enthusiastic about taking on new materials and technological innovations, and continues to surprise mountain enthusiasts around the world.

Why are Rab's products so amazing? How are they created? We'll also introduce you to a wide range of other amazing new products for Fall/Winter 2023

I personally met Rab in 2015's ultra-lightweight rainwear "Flashpoint Jacket."

Its high functionality as an outdoor gear, its good pattern as a clothing item, and its fashionability, was impressed by the "first-class" work, and in an instant I was completely captivated by Rab. Since then, I've been excited by their new releases every season (although I'm frustrated that the items I'm looking for are not coming to Japan).

Over the past few years, Rab has been expanding to new activities such as trail running and fast packing, as well as new genres of products such as backpacks and sleeping pads. What's more, all of these have amazing quality that overturns conventional wisdom. The momentum doesn't know it's halting.

This is a brand that is truly popular these days, and has been setting high ideals since its founding, and has continued to produce high quality output that meets these high demands, and this time we would like to explore the secrets of what is amazing and how these products are born.
