2) Wilderness Medical Associates Japan Special Lecture: "Outdoor First Aid Using Mountaineering Equipment"
overview:
I want to learn practical first aid knowledge that you can't get from books or the internet, and learn more about tools
Naturally, mountain gear isn't something to be displayed and admired at home, but it's also not enough to simply follow the instructions in the manual. Surviving in remote, wilderness areas can mean unexpected injuries, accidents, or natural disasters, with no one to help. Surviving in such situations requires making full use of the limited resources available to you. In such situations, what can you do with the tools you have at hand? Knowing how to use a variety of outdoor gear is important, not just to prevent unexpected accidents, but also as a way to manage crises during major disasters that occur every day
This time, we have asked Mr. Terada from Wilderness Medical Associates Japan, who is well-versed in first aid procedures for outdoor activities and disasters, to give a special lecture based on the WFA Wilderness First Aid perspective, focusing on "How to use tools in case of an emergency"!
About Wilderness Medical Associates Japan (Official website)
WFA Wilderness First Aid is:
Since its founding in 1981, the WMA has been a global organization dedicated to advancing practical medicine in extreme environments and conditions. We are rescue medical professionals, researchers, experienced educators, and advocates for medicine in wilderness conditions. As of 2019, we have been recognized by over 10,000 individuals annually in over 30 countries across seven continents
The official curriculum systematically covers the assessment and treatment required in wilderness situations (situations where it takes a long time for transfer to the medical system or necessary treatment to be received), as well as long-term follow-up observation and nursing, and how to think in harsh natural environments. A learning style that first gains theoretical understanding through classroom lectures and then learns through hands-on training is a distinctive feature of this new first aid method in Japan
All participants will receive a free YAMANOVA coffee drip bag
On the day, all participants will receive a free drip bag from the YAMANOVA Coffee "Namaste Himalaya" project! In addition, there will be limited-edition coffee beans for sale, drip bags for sale, and subscriptions available
