German-made smart bottle "SGUAI" lets you see the temperature inside the bottle at a glance

Nalgenes are nice, but ice-cold drinks are also appreciated

Nalgene is my go-to bottle for mountain climbing. It won't break no matter how many times it's dropped, can be filled with boiling water, doesn't transfer odors, and is easy to wash, making it an incredibly convenient companion. That's why I use it so much not only when hiking, but also in my everyday life. The simplicity of Nalgene's design also allows me to customize it to my own specifications by adding stickers and other items

However, it's a bit disappointing that it doesn't meet the expectations of those who want ice-cold drinks in the coming season. It would be perfect if it had a cold (or hot) function. I'll leave that to other bottles. If I were even more greedy, I'd like to be able to easily put sports drinks, juice, cafe latte, or even alcohol or chilled white wine in an insulated bottle! However, due to the material the insulated bottle is made of, wholesalers won't be able to sell it to me..

Of course not. A wholesaler actually supplied it to me. To be precise, the smart bottle "SGUAI" from Germany made my wish come true

Isn't it great to be able to enjoy your favorite ice-cold drink outside?

By the way, this product and its crowdfunding campaign (Makuake) ended with great success . I tried it out and would like to share my experience.

What is a "smart bottle"?

As the title suggests, what is it? It's a bottle that uses AI technology, similar to a smartwatch or smart speaker. AI in a water bottle? What kind of features does it have?

It's especially great that you can see the temperature inside the bottle at a glance. You can adjust the temperature to your liking, whether it's piping hot, slightly warm, or chilly, without needing a thermometer. This is a feature you might not have thought existed, but it's surprisingly convenient

The alarm will be useful in reminding you to drink adequate amounts of water during this coming season, and for those taking medication, it can also be used as a convenient function to remind you when to take your medication

I tried it out ~In the car~

I used it on a long drive from Kanto to Kansai, heading to Odaigahara for a hike

Even though I have fairly small hands, the shape is easy to hold and fits comfortably in my hand.
I was worried about whether it would fit in the bottle holder in my car, but it fit in easily.

Depending on the car model, the diameter of the bottom is around 7cm, so it is a size that can be used in most drink holders

The alarm and temperature functions are charged via a USB cable. In the car, it gets power from the cigarette lighter socket. Being able to charge with a USB cable even when there is no outlet is very convenient when you are out and about

It may be a little hard to tell because I was making hot coffee that day, but the light on the lid was red and showed 55 degrees

By the way, if it's cold, the battery is fully charged, and the alarm is on, the display will look like this

I tried it out ~Hiking Edition~

Yes, we arrived at Odaigahara. I wondered if I could fit it in my backpack, so I did

It's slim, so it fits easily in your pocket. My backpack is an Osprey Exos 38L.
I'll compare it to my beloved My Nalgene. The Nalgene is thick! It's about 23cm tall, and its capacity is 400ml, just under half the size of the Nalgene, so the bottle's slimness is probably appropriate.

With the beautiful scenery in front of me, I decided to try the drink instead of eating it

It's soft to the touch. The diameter of the mouth is about 5cm, so the contents won't spill out. It also keeps the contents warm

If I had to point out a drawback, it would be that it is a little heavy for its capacity and that it gets a little lukewarm

I tried using it ~Care Edition~

After use, it's important to remember to clean it. Nalgene bottles have a wide mouth, so they're easy to wash and dry, but I'm still struggling with cleaning and drying my Platypus 2L water bottle. Can someone tell me a good way to do this? Actually, I tried cleaning my SGUAI

I cut a regular dish washing sponge lengthwise and attached it to a sponge clamping rod to wash it. The opening is not narrow, so I was able to scrub it thoroughly. I had coffee in it for a long time, but it didn't stain right away, so I didn't need to scrub it too hard. It might also be fine to just put a small piece of sponge inside and shake it vigorously

By the way, ice made in the refrigerator's ice maker also fits in easily

The cooling effect is 9 degrees or less after 6 hours, but adding ice will make the effect last longer. If you add a lot of ice, you can easily drink ice-cold drinks, so this is useful when you're out and about in the hot summer

summary

Honestly, it's versatile and easy to use (you can even put alcohol in it!)

What I like about using SGUAI is that

If you are looking for a personal bottle, please consider SGUAI!
