Nalgen is good, but I'm also grateful for the cold drink.
I'm Teppan and Nalgen, my own bottle for climbing. It's extremely convenient, as it won't break no matter how many times you drop it, can be poured in boiling water, does not transfer the smell, and easy to wash. Therefore, I use it not only in mountain climbing, but also in my daily life. Another technique that allows you to customize it to your own specifications by sticking stickers or something similar is because of the simplicity of Nalgene's design.
However, it's a bit disappointing that when you want a chilly drink in the coming season, it doesn't live up to those expectations. It would be perfect if it had a cold (heating) function. Leave that to other bottles. If you're even more greedy, you'll want to put sports drinks, juices, cafe lattes, alcohol, and cold white wine in the cold bottle! However, due to the materials used in the cold bottles, wholesalers won't be able to sell it that way...
There's no way it can. The wholesaler finally sold it. To be precise, the smart bottle "SGUAI" that came from Germany has fulfilled my wishes.
Everyone, it's nice to be able to drink a drink that is so cold that you like outside!
Incidentally, this product also popular and ended with crowdfunding (Makuake) despite its popularity . Here's how I tried it right away.
What is a "smart bottle"?
As the title suggests, what? That's right. This bottle is a member of what is known as smartwatches and smart speakers, and uses AI technology. Put AI in a water bottle! What features do they have?
- You can see the temperature inside the bottle at a glance
- The alarm goes off every two hours
This is especially nice feature that allows you to see the temperature inside the bottle at a glance. You can adjust the temperature you like by heating up quickly and slightly warming up even without a thermometer. This performance was unlikely to happen. Surprisingly convenient.
The alarm will help you notify you of moderate hydration in the coming season, and it is also useful for those who are taking medication, as it can also be used as a function to tell you when to take your medication.
I tried using it ~Inside the car~
I was planning to head to Odaigahara for a hike, so I tried it out for a long drive from Kanto to Kansai.
Even though I have quite small hands, it's easy to hold and fits in with my hand.
Will it fit in a car bottle holder? ! I was worried, but it subsided.
Depending on the vehicle model, the bottom diameter is around 7cm, so it can be used with most drink holders.
You can charge alarms and temperature functions using a USB cable. You will receive power from the cigarette lighter socket in the car. It's convenient when you go out and charge with a USB cable even without an outlet.
I had some hot coffee on this day, so it may be a bit difficult to tell, but the light on the lid is red and shows 55 degrees.
Incidentally, if you are using a full charge, and an alarm, the following will be displayed.
I tried it out - hiking edition
Yes, we arrived at Odaigahara. I wondered if I'd put it in my backpack, so I put it in.
It's slim so it fits easily in your pocket. By the way, my backpack is an Osprey Exos 38L.
Compare it with my favorite Minalgen. Nalgene's thighs! The height is about 23cm and the capacity is about half that of Nalgene, 400ml, so the thinness of the bottle is probably reasonable.
I'll try a delicious food instead of eating it in front of the beautiful scenery.
The mouth is soft. The diameter of the mouthpiece is about 5cm, so the contents will not come out completely. It also keeps you warm.
If I were to list the most flaws, it would be a little heavy for the capacity and a little lukewarm.
- [SGUAI]
400ml/318g/Heat retention effect: 70°C or higher after 6 hours / Heat retention effect: 35°C or higher after 24 hours - [Yama Sen]
500ml/280g/Heat retention effect: 73°C or higher after 6 hours / Heat retention effect: 50°C or higher after 24 hours
I tried using it ~Care edition~
After using it, you should never forget to take care of it. Nalgen is wide mouth so it's easy to wash and dry, but I'm still struggling to clean and dry the Platypass 2L water bottle. Can someone please tell me a good way? Actually, I washed the SGUAI.
I tried washing a typical dishwasher sponge vertically and attached it to a rod that holds the sponge in place. The mouthpiece is not narrow, so you can scrub it thoroughly. I used to put coffee in for a long time, but it didn't immediately color it, so it's fine to wash it with too much effort. You might just need to put in a small slice of sponge and shake it to wash it.
By the way, the ice made using the ice maker in the fridge can be easily packed.
The cooling effect is below 9 degrees after 6 hours, but adding ice will last longer. Add a lot of ice and you can easily drink some chilled drinks, which is useful even when you're out and about in the summer.
summary
Honestly, it's all-purpose and easy to use (you can also add alcohol!)
What I like about using SGUAI is
- It has a moderately wide mouth so it's easy to wash (can be used in a dishwasher), and easy to dry ← Important!
- You can drink drinks without having to transfer them to a cup
- It's surprisingly convenient to know the temperature (you can set the temperature to your liking)
- A USB cable is fine for charging the AI function.
- Available for any drink (However, it is not recommended to leave the drink in it for more than 12 hours)
is. For those of you looking for your own bottle, please also include SGUAI in the area of consideration!
