[A new standard item for camper vans! 】The electric fan bedding ATEEX "Sleeping Mat SOYO Single AX-BS632" introduced in half is so comfortable that it's a little twitching!

It's a summer that gets hot every year. It's also hot when sleeping in a camper van. However, it's not possible to use the cooler in a hurry, so the electric fan bedding ATEEX "Sleep Mat SOYO Single AX-BS632" that was introduced in half a trial, has become a standard item that is a little more comfortable and has been made into a standard item, so let's take a look at its actual results.

What is ATEX's "Good Sleep Mat SOYO Single AX-BS632"

ATEX's "Good Sleep Mat SOYO Single AX-BS632" is installed on the main bed of my camper van. It was a single size so it was perfectly set up.

Bedding with electric fan to reduce the humidity and heat that makes sleeping difficult

It's a summer that feels like it gets hotter and hot every year. I live in Hokkaido and am no exception. Even in Hokkaido, the temperatures can easily exceed 30 degrees, so it's really hot.

If you're at home, you can just use the air conditioner normally, but that's not the case while traveling in a camper or camper van. Many people think that if you're traveling in a camper van, you should use a cooler. It's different if the power supply is secured, but even if your camper van has a cooler, if you can't secure the power supply, you won't be able to keep a cooler that consumes a lot of electricity all night. And my camper van is not equipped with a cabin cooler.

To put it in extreme terms, sleeping in a bed inside an FRP box that is poorly ventilated and cannot be used with a cooler can be called a camper van trip. It's well ventilated and hard to get heat, so I think the tent is cooler. Therefore, I am exploring how to somehow stay cool every summer.

And for this summer, ATEX's "Sleeping Mat SOYO Single AX-BS632" (hereinafter referred to as "Sleeping Mat SOYO Single") was introduced. The actual price is 29,700 yen including tax, which is not something that is cheap. However, this "Sleeping Mat SOYO Single" simply means that it is made of 3D fiber mattress made of resin fibers and comes with an electric fan, which expels moisture and heat that can become trapped in the mattress in the summer, reducing night sweats and discomfort. In fact, just imagining it as a 3D fiber mattress with a fan makes it look cool.

And the reason why we chose this "Soyo Single Sleep Mat" as a mattress for camper vans and camping is its threatening low power consumption. It's a bit surprising, but it is said that after 12 hours a day, the electricity bill is about 18 yen per month (calculated at 31 yen per kWh). It is calculated that only consumes approximately 580Wh of electricity in 30 days after using it for 12 hours a day. It only consumes about 1.5W of electricity while it is operating. This will allow you to sleep cool and comfortable even when camping or camping without worrying about electricity consumption. I thought so and actually tried using it.

I tried it in a camper van that was over 30 degrees at 7pm.

I'm also concerned about the amount of electricity I use, but for now I set the 12-hour timer with a strong operation.

On the day we tested, the temperature of the camper cabin was 30.5 degrees around 7pm. It can be said that it is quite difficult to sleep as is.

After learning about the "Soyo Single Sleep Mat" I arranged to try it out in a camper van this summer, but I was actually thinking that I could test it on hot days in May and June, but it's surprisingly cool on the nights in Hokkaido. Moreover, when I wrote a report that Honshu and Tokyo were extremely hot, and the indoor temperature of camper vans was just over 20 degrees, and even on hot days, I was likely to say, "That's because Hokkaido is cool and comfortable," so I waited a long time for the test day.

And on an evening that was a bit of a record-breaking hot for Hokkaido, the indoor temperature of a camper van at 7pm, although it was already July, exceeded 30 degrees. On this day, I had plans to take a photo of the starry sky from around midnight, so I was planning to take a nap first.

For those who live in an area where temperatures above 30 degrees are commonplace, it may not be surprising if the room inside a camper van exceeds 30 degrees, but for me, who lives in Hokkaido where the morning temperature is in the range of 10 degrees, it's a bit insane to sleep in a camper van exceeding 30 degrees.

In fact, just being inside a camper van makes me sweat spout. This is why I'm going to take a nap. By the way, if you cannot secure a power source, you will have to rely on the battery installed in the camper van or a portable power source for electricity, so the power consumption is also a very important factor. Therefore, I will connect the "Soyo Single Sleep Mat" to a portable power source, and the author will also connect it to an AC power source with an EBL 1,000Wh portable power source, and observe the amount of electricity consumption.

In addition to turning the power on and off, the "Good Sleep Mat SOYO Single" is equipped with a mode in which the power is turned on and off, as well as the strength of the airflow and the timer switching for 6, 9, and 12 hours, as well as a mode in which the power is turned off after 9 hours, which is "Goodnight" automatic operation, repeating strong operation for 15 minutes and weak operation for 75 minutes.

For now, the inside of my camper van was hot, so the airflow was strong, and I operated the "Sleeping Mat SOYO Single" with a 12-hour timer.

After 4 hours, my electricity consumption was 0%, and before I knew it, I slept without a single night sweat.

Approximately 4 hours after turning on the power, the remaining power does not decrease even though it is operating, and the power consumption display remains at 0W. I thought the portable power supply had broken...

I would like to check how much electricity I consume per hour, and as I was wondering how much room temperature would drop at night, I decided to just slurp around on the "Good Sleep Mat SOYO Single" for now, but it was surprisingly easy to fall asleep.

When I first started lying down, the room temperature was above 30 degrees, and it was much hotter than usual so I thought I wouldn't be able to fall asleep easily. However, when I actually lie down on the "SOYO Single Sleep Mat", the electric fan is spinning, and although there is no impression of a strong breeze and coolness, the part that comes into contact with the "SOYO Single Sleep Mat" is surprisingly smooth.

When you sleep in a hot place, you usually get night sweats between the mattress and the quilt, and the slightest touch is very uncomfortable, but you don't get this night sweats, which makes it quite different to your comforter. However, although the operating noise of the electric fan is not unpleasant, it is close even though it is under the feet, so it is quite a concern until you get used to it.

While I was thinking, "I wish the electric fan had a little more noise," I fell asleep. About four hours later, I woke up about 30 minutes later than I had planned to set out to take a photo of the starry sky, but I slept so hard. I was sleeping more comfortably than I thought.

At 11pm, the room temperature in the camper van had dropped by about 25 degrees and about 5 degrees, but for me it was hot enough, but I was able to sleep better than I thought. At this time, I was concerned about the amount of electricity used so I took a picture of the portable power supply information panel, but the remaining power supply had not changed from 100%. I thought the portable power supply had broken, but since I didn't have time, I headed out to take a picture of the starry sky.

Even if you use "Soyo Single" until morning, the battery level remains at 100%

The operation panel part of the "Good Sleep Mat SOYO Single". There are four buttons: power on and off, good night, air flow, and timer. This part also has an electric fan built in.

After finishing the filming of the starry sky, I returned to my camper van at 3:30am, and the room temperature had dropped to about 21 degrees. I wanted to know how much electricity I consumed while I was away, so I kept the "Soyo Single Sleep Mat" running, but even after it returned, the remaining battery level of the portable power supply remains at 100%, and I thought it might be that the portable power supply was broken, so I fell asleep.

The room temperature had also dropped to nearly 20 degrees, so I thought I would be able to sleep more comfortably, but the first summer towel blanket I hung was cold. I wanted to drive the "Sleeping Mat SOYO Single" on a strong side, so I didn't stop and took out a slightly thick futon, and then slept for another three hours. It's a little cold and comfortable.

Portable power supplies of 1,000Wh class consume only an error in electricity.

Since it consumes too much power, when measured using Sanwa Supply's watt monitor, it is only 1.3W.

When I woke up at 6:30 in the morning, the room temperature was 21 degrees and the remaining battery level on the portable power supply was still 100%. I determined that the remaining battery level indication on the portable power supply was broken, so when I installed a Sanwa Supply's "Watt Monitor" that measures the consumption power of the AC power supply, and measured the power consumption of the "Good Sleep Mat SOYO Single" intensive operation, it was approximately 1.3W. I used the "SOYO Single Sleeping Mat" for about 11.5 hours from 7pm to 6.30am, so the power savings are around 15Wh.

1% of the 1,000Wh portable power source I use on the EBL is about 10Wh, so even when I used the "Soft Sleep Mat SOYO Single," which only consumes about 15Wh of electricity in 11.5 hours, the remaining power display of the portable power source did not change.

With such low power consumption, even if you use the "SOYO Single Sleep Mat" every day when traveling or camping in a camper van, you won't need to secure a separate power source. This can be said to be a great advantage when traveling to a camper van or camping, where you need to be careful about the remaining electricity. I'm very grateful.

Summary: A masterpiece that consumes extremely little power and frees you from night sweats

The manufacturer's published value is -0.6 degrees, but the effect of -37.9% humidity is even greater than expected!

Compared to the part that is in contact with the "Good Sleep Mat SOYO Single", the part that is in contact with the pillow or other parts feels hot, so some kind of ingenuity may be required for this part.

The manufacturer's published values showing the effects of "Soyo Single Sleep Mat" were announced to have a dehumidification effect of up to -37.9% and a temperature of 0.6 degrees. I imagined that a 3D fiber mattress made of three-dimensional fiber made from fatty fibers had an electric fan, and the wind was ventilated like a fan, so I imagined it would be less effective than I thought.

In reality, it seems rather than the air flowing through the mattress in a hurry, but rather that air circulates to prevent moisture from building up inside the mattress, and the impression that the temperature has certainly been lowered is quite weak. However, when you sleep in the heat, moisture builds up, and you start to sweat, making it even more uncomfortable, so it just prevents you from sweating and feels very comfortable. When traveling in a camper van, you sometimes miss a bath, so it's a great help to be relieved of the sticky sweat when sleeping.

And the key point is that it consumes surprisingly little electricity. This is a big advantage for camper travel and camping, but when you think that when you use it at home, you only have to pay about 18 yen per month, you can use it without worry.

I'm very happy with the heat prevention items that consume a lot of electricity. Also, since this is a sweaty seasonal item, it cannot be washed completely, but it is also hygienic that the top surface of the mat cover can be removed with a zipper to wash it. I didn't introduce it at the same time, but there is also a dedicated contact cool box sheet (actual price: 4,800 yen) sold separately, so if combined with this, you'll be able to sleep more comfortably.
The introduction was "a little bit interesting," but when I actually used it, the "Soyo Single Sleep Mat" was a very practical heat protection item with low running costs and extremely low electricity consumption. It is very comfortable not only for camping vans, but also outdoors such as camping, or at home, so if you're concerned about the sticky night sweats, why not give it a try? However, one thing to note is that since the "Soft Sleep Mat SOYO Single" circulates the indoor air to ventilate the mat, it is said that if the room temperature is too high, it may not be effective enough. In such cases, it is recommended to use it in conjunction with an air conditioner to reduce room temperature and humidity.

Rather than being felt, the "SOYO Single Sleeping Mat" has an impression that reduces the moisture, stickiness and night sweats of bedding in the summer, and is not only a standard item in our home, but also has become a standard bedding for summer. It's more recommended than I thought.
