Main features of the Inalem Premium Air Rain Jacket
The INAREM Premium Air Rain Jacket is rainwear made with the highly breathable, waterproof, and moisture-wicking fabric "INAREM," which is designed to be "not stuffy." It boasts high performance with a breathability of 40,000g/m²/24h and a water resistance of 10,000mm.
The fabric is stretchy, and three-dimensional stitching is used in areas with high mobility, such as the elbows, to allow for easy movement. The clean silhouette and simple, plain design make it easy to coordinate with any outfit. It features a long bill, a hood with an adjustable drawcord, a zipper garage to reduce discomfort around the chin, shirring on the cuffs, and Velcro adjusters, providing all the essential rainwear features. The chest pocket has a mesh lining for ventilation and is packable, allowing for easy storage. The L size weighs approximately 200g, making this rainwear highly portable

Usage Impressions
The test fields were Tanzawa, Okutama, Izu, etc. from March to April and May. I will review my impressions of wearing it in the rain and during the unusually heavy snowfall for March
A simple design that allows you to seamlessly move between the mountains and the city
A subtle accent on the cuffs
I the Inalem Premium Air Rain Jacket was its clean silhouette and simple design. It's not bulky, in a good way, and is easy for anyone to wear. Many garments have a brand logo placed on them so that the brand can be recognized immediately, but this one only has a single logo on the cuffs. The logo has a subdued design that is actually quite nice, and at first glance you wouldn't know it was Workman, and it's comparable to shells from other outdoor brands.
The plain design and subdued, single-toned color scheme are neither too sporty nor sloppy. The six colors available are black, blue, yellow, red, beige, and sage green, and the subdued colors make them perfect for everyday wear
Highly stretchy and does not restrict movement
Another feature that makes it suitable for both mountain and city use is its high elasticity. The stretchy material means that movement is not restricted, and the elbows, which tend to bend and stretch frequently, are 3D-sewn for easy movement, making them comfortable for activities that require a lot of movement, such as running
Breathability is an astounding 40,000g/m²/24h, so you won't get stuffy even if you wear it for a long time
It's not just a simple design that's stretchy. the Inalem Premium Air Rain Jacket is its high breathability. This jacket's breathability is an astonishing 40,000g/m²/24h, a level comparable to that of full-scale outdoor brands. It's amazing that a garment with such specifications is being offered at a low price of just 4,000 yen. Normally, full-scale outdoor brand garments would cost tens of thousands of yen.
To see how well it performed, I wore it in a field test for about five hours. I simulated rainy weather and wore rain pants to create the most realistic conditions possible, and I definitely didn't feel any discomfort from the stuffiness. To be precise, I was able to move around with the stuffiness kept to a level where it would become uncomfortable
One of the problems with rainwear is that it can get stuffy when you sweat while you're out and about, and your own sweat can make your clothing wet, which can lead to feeling cold and uncomfortable, but I the Inalem Premium Air Rain Jacket prevented my clothing from getting wet due to sweat returning to it.
Water resistance and water repellency are sufficient for the right field
The Inalem Premium Air Rain Jacket boasts high breathability , but when you drop water droplets on its water-repellent fabric, they roll right off, demonstrating its water-repellent properties. However, when I tried using it as rainwear, it felt a little unreliable. Even though the rain jacket is waterproof to a water pressure of 10,000mm, during actual testing, I noticed the inside getting wet during prolonged heavy rain. In that sense, I wouldn't recommend it at all for anyone looking for rainwear like armor that will keep you comfortable no matter how bad the weather.
However, that doesn't mean it can't be used as rainwear; it is certainly suitable for preparing for rain on short day trips to the mountains, or for walking through tree-covered forest areas
Although it may be difficult to choose this type of gear when selecting equipment for harsh environments, that doesn't mean you have to choose such high-spec gear. I think there are many opportunities for it to be useful for light hiking, low mountain climbing, section hiking on long trails, or as an entry model for beginners before starting serious mountain climbing. Also, experienced hikers will be able to use it well based on their own experience and skills
High functionality with careful attention to detail
the Inalem Premium Air Rain Jacket is not very reliable as rainwear in terms of water resistance, it does have the functionality to keep out the rain. It also has a hood adjuster and a long brim, so it can handle rain from the front.
The zipper is waterproof, making it difficult for water to get in, and has an inner flap that allows water to flow out without getting the clothing inside wet. However, it is not completely waterproof, and it does not have a double flap structure, so you need to be careful as water may get in if it rains heavily sideways for a long period of time
Additionally, the cuffs are shirred and equipped with Velcro for an adjustable fit. The fit can also be adjusted using the drawcord at the hem. The Inalem Premium Air Rain Jacket is comparable in functionality to regular rainwear, but what concerns me is its durability. The drawcords on the hood and hem are made of very thin bungee cords, which makes me feel uneasy, and when I tighten the hood adjuster, the excess drawcord gets in the way and hits my face. Considering the price, I'm not sure if I can ask for more, but I have to be prepared for the construction to be far from reliable enough for long-term use.
Lightweight, compact and highly portable
Regarding weight, performance varies greatly depending on durability, functionality, and the number of layers, so it would be premature to simply the Inalem Premium Air Rain Jacket is lightweight. However, when tested under the condition of "rainwear that can be used in low mountains," the actual weight of the 3L size that I chose was 215g, so it can be said to be lightweight rainwear.
Rainwear available on the market today includes the lightest models weighing less than 150g, while durable and reliable models weigh around 300g. Models weighing around 200g can be considered lightweight
It's also packable, so you can pack it into your chest pocket without needing a storage bag by turning it inside out and rolling it up. Once packed, it's compact enough to fit in the palm of your hand, so no matter how small your backpack, it won't take up much space. Being able to put it in your pocket means you won't lose the storage bag, so being packable is a great feature for someone like me who is lazy
Summary: We live in an age where lightweight, highly breathable rainwear can be purchased at such an affordable price!
It's amazing that rainwear with its lightness and excellent breathability, which would have been considered a premium model in the past, can now be purchased at such a low price. Of course, it's not of the same quality as such premium models, but even so, its resistance to stuffiness, ease of movement, design, and cost performance are still appealing. Not only is the garment itself light, but it can also be used as active wear, so using it for both purposes will help reduce the weight of your equipment
Although the waterproofing was a bit questionable, I felt it would be practical enough to carry around as a carry-on or windbreaker for a half-day or day hike in the summer when the weather is stable. I like to keep my gear as light as possible and prefer UL gear. I plan to keep the Inalem Premium Air Rain Jacket
