previously shared hiking information for the Mount Shasta area , but this time I would like to introduce you to a power spot that can be considered the jewel of Shasta and is a place you can see, feel, and enjoy.

How to get there:
- Drive north from San Francisco on I-5 for about 5 hours. The distance is about 245 miles (392 km) as the crow flies
- 3.5 hours from Sacramento. Also drive north on I-5
- The closest airport to Shasta is Redding in the south or Medford Airport in the north, about an hour and a half drive (via I-5)
The area around Mount Shasta is home to many forests, mountains, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, caves, and more, and is dotted with various viewpoints and spots that are easily accessible
Mount Shasta is also famous for its clean water. The meltwater from the snow seeps into the ground, where it is filtered over the years, picking up minerals and then flowing out onto the surface
This makes Shasta's water, including the tap water, truly clear and delicious! Of course, you can drink the tap water straight from the tap
You'll notice a difference in the quality of your skin and hair even after showering with Shasta water!
It sounds like a joke, but it's true. It leaves your skin smooth and your hair silky smooth! It's truly magic water. The Shasta area is where you can feel the blessings of nature on your skin. See it with your eyes and experience the wonders of nature even more
Recommended Spot #1: Lake Siskiyou
This beautiful lake is easily accessible from downtown Shasta, just a 10-minute drive away
This artificial lake, created by a dam that flows into the Sacramento River, is an essential part of the lives of local residents. In the summer, many people come here to swim, paddle, kayak, canoe, and engage in other water activities. Because it's an artificial lake, the water temperature isn't too cold, making it very pleasant
There is a 7.3 mile (11.68 km) trail that you can walk around. The vast lakeside of 1,700,000 m2 (170 hectares) is surrounded by large pine trees, and each spot offers beautiful views
There are parking lots on the north and south shores, as well as at the campground, so you can access the lake by car. The view from Cable Beach Parking & Trailhead is particularly recommended (see Lake Siskiyou map)
On a clear day, you can see Mount Shasta from here, which is very picturesque
Lake Siskiyou has different beauty in the early morning, during the day, and in the evening. There are fewer people there in the early morning, and you have a good chance of encountering animals such as deer! We recommend getting up early and going for a walk
