[New information added on August 1, 2025!] ZEROGRAM EXHIBITION 2025 Vol. 1 & 2! [New releases and exhibition information]

We recently held an exhibition at the Tokyo showroom featuring Zero Gram's new products, and we'd like to share with you some of the highlights. Until recently, Zero Gram was primarily known for its tents, including the well-known El Chalten series. However, these days, they've expanded their product line to include apparel, gear, and accessories, and I get the impression that they offer a wide variety of attractive items

The ZERO1 Pro has returned as a new model with a major overhaul

However, the main attraction is the tent (shelter)! It all started with the original ZERO1, then the Pathfinder, MF, and now the ZERO1 Pro. As someone who owns the second-generation Pathfinder, I feel a deep sense of nostalgia. This is a lightweight, non-freestanding shelter that can be set up with trekking poles

The most significant difference compared to previous models is the addition of a dedicated DAC pole across the center of the shelter. This has significantly improved wind resistance and livability. A ventilation function has also been added to the long side doors. The second generation was fundamentally single-walled (partially hybrid structure), so to be honest, it was vulnerable to condensation, but the long side and side doors use a monofilament inner material that is resistant to condensation, a continuation of the MF, so we believe that condensation resistance has been improved

The dedicated pole connection has a unique shape and its strength is unknown

Like previous models, the tent can be set up without poles, but by attaching the dedicated poles, you can expand the living space by 120% while still achieving the stability of a freestanding tent. This means you can also choose to omit the dedicated poles if you prefer a lighter weight.

When you enter the cabin, you will notice that when the special poles are installed, the side walls extend outwards, which means there is less of a feeling of pressure than with the old model, and just that makes it feel more comfortable. The old model was also equipped with side lifters that allowed it to expand sideways, but the difference with this new model is that it can be pulled up in a different direction

The poles and guy lines are reinforced with X-Pack fabric in areas subject to stress, and the main fabric has been changed from the previous 10D to 15D, increasing overall strength while still weighing just 550g. As a trekking pole shelter, separate poles are required, but it goes without saying that it pairs well with ZEROGRAM's trekking poles. While this is an appealing product, its only drawback is its relatively high price (estimated price: 67,320 yen excluding tax). However, given that tents are becoming more expensive these days due to various factors, this is a viable option depending on your mountaineering style. The color of the direct-release model has been changed, but it does not appear to be this color

Further information is available: a sample version will be on display to the general public at Off the Grid 2025 this weekend, so if you're interested, make sure to head over to the event!

The Minimalist NANO Tarp is an attractive size and weight option

The Minimalist Nano Tarp has been around for a while, but now the Hexa model is lighter, and now the Recta model has been added and comes in new colors. The Hexa weighs 260g, the Recta itself weighs 335g, and the fabric has been upgraded from 15D to 10D nylon ripstop with a silicone coating. Having a lightweight tarp is handy, isn't it? You can throw it over a tent as shown in the photo to create a huge vestibule, or use it on its own to create a relaxing living space. The Recta measures 294x294cm, while the Hexa measures 302x294cm, making them comfortable for up to three people. Both have a water resistance of 1500mm

It's a tough decision to make between the lighter Hexa and the more versatile Recta

This one is reinforced with Dyneema Gridstop fabric in areas that are subject to stress, and the grommets are made of Hypalon material (a synthetic rubber used on boats, etc.) to prevent the poles from slipping out. It appears to be available in stone gray only

The storage size is quite compact

Other various gear and clothing

Among the new products, the first one I thought was particularly great is the Pole & Peg Case with DCF, . The lid of the bag also has a pocket for storing pegs and guy lines. The main compartment is designed to fit 1-2.5P poles from the Zero Gram tent series. With the lid folded down, it's 44cm long, and the size is adjustable, so it can also be used to store other long items as long as the length is right.

The Stuff Sack 8L with DCF is also available exclusively in Japan . While it's a simple stuff sack, it features a flap at the center of the entrance, and the bottom is apparently the same size as the bottom of Zero Gram's "LOST CREEK LT25" backpack, enhancing the compatibility between the brand's gear. Some readers may have noticed a small detail, but future Zero Gram gear will have a spec sheet engraved on the gear itself. This design allows you to instantly check the item's performance, making it both safe and stylish. Both the pole case and stuff sack are sample colors, and the final color lineup will be Stone Gray and Orange.

The following is a selection of highly acclaimed ULTRA LIGHT CARBON FOLDING TREKKING POLEs. Available in two sizes, these carbon and aluminum hybrid poles feature a slide-lock system and weigh 170/190g. Combining the strength of carbon with the flexibility of aluminum, they're the perfect size for setting up the shelter mentioned above.

Tyvek UL Mat JP was apparently very popular when it was released It's a 45g square Tyvek® mat measuring 100 x 70cm, large enough for two adults to sit comfortably. It has a bungee cord on the end, so you can fold it up compactly and wrap it around for storage. It's a very handy item to have on hand.

The range of technical clothing has also expanded, with items such as thermal clothing made with Alpha, a well-known active insulation material, made with NEXTSKIN, which not only has sweat-wicking, quick-drying properties and heat retention, but also stretch and UV protection for active movement . If you're interested in more details, why not check out the official website?

the UPC Ramen Pan Case LOW&High, which the Zero Gram staff were surprised to see suddenly become a huge seller

This square cooker case, which can also be used for cooking, is a versatile product that seems like it should exist, but what really made it popular was that it was featured in a mountain climbing segment on a TV show called "Boiling Words." Apparently, there was no announcement from Zero Gram at the time, so they had no idea what was going on (lol)

I introduced and linked to this case in a previous article about the Alps Summit, but it's a fire-free cooking method

Considering the recent news of tragic wildfires in the mountains, this may be a gear that deserves more attention in the future

What did you think of ZEROGRAM EXHIBITION 2025 vol.1? Even just the AW edition had some fascinating items released, and I'm sure there was something that appealed to you as you were reading this. If I had the chance, I would like to do a comparative review of the new and old shelters

Click here for information on new releases from August 2025 onwards!

The previous exhibition was held in July 2025 and was titled Vol.1, but some products were not ready for display, so we also held Vol.2, which included new summer products, and we would like to share with you what we found!

A packable backpack weighing just 155g makes a stunning debut!

The first and most notable feature is the release of the Packable Sil.Daypack 15, a packable backpack that can be used for everyday use, day hikes, and even as an attack pack, as well as the with Dyneema backpack, which has a different material on the lid surface

It has a side zipper, which is rare for a small 15L pack, and the main material is silicone-coated 40D nylon ripstop

The shoulder straps are thin but stable, and the chest strap is removable

The regular version comes in three colors, and the one-color Dyneema version has a different material only on the surface of the top lid, but the weight is the same(!)

The top lid can be rolled up and packed into a very compact size

New upcycled sacoche and pouches are now available!

This is the Packable Sil. Sacoche, a new series created in collaboration with the paragliding facility "SANN" and featuring upcycled fabric for paragliding. The colored pocket on the surface uses upcycled fabric

Equipped with an inner pocket and foldable

It's quite compact, but when in use it has a capacity of 2 liters and can even fit a plastic bottle inside

This is a great idea as the base of the shoulder cord has a plastic buckle, making it easy to put on and take off even while wearing a backpack, which is a very clever idea

There are also three sizes of the Packable Sil.Pouch available, each with a different color: Yellow S (2.2L), Black M (4.2L), and White L (8.1L). The display surface is also made of upcycled fabric, and each size seems to match the bottom size of the Zero Gram Backpack series

Finish off with a Dyneema pouch and wallet!

Finally, two Dyneema products! The Hiker Pouch SUL with Dyneema is a slightly larger Dyneema pouch

we introduced earlier when folded. It also has loops on both sides of the top, making it easy to open and close the waterproof zipper and turn it into a sacoche bag.

The Hiker Wallet SUL with Dyneema is just as its name suggests, a wallet of just the right size, and it is said to fit the case of a certain large tablet perfectly

These also have dividers on both side loops, and both come in one size and one color. Each product is scheduled to be released sequentially from mid-August 2025, so they will be available soon!

There are many items that are perfect for mountain hiking and other outings during summer vacation, so I'm looking forward to it!
