The autumn/winter season of 2025 is about to begin
I wonder if autumn will actually happen this year. How will the leaves turn? Will there be a good snowfall? Either way, this time of year is always exciting when I think about encountering new scenery I've never seen before
Well, Outdoor Gearzine will continue to hold our popular offline events this season!

Enjoy a comfortable autumn tent stay with ZEROGRAM tents and gear!
Solo hiking is becoming more common these days, but while camping and hiking can be a bit of a challenge to camping and hiking together through the "Tent Camping Challenge" event, which has already been held three times this season up until September.
This is the fourth time we are holding this event, and it is a collaborative project with ZEROGRAM, a company that produces a variety of unique, lightweight, and functional gear, including tents and shelters
ZEROGRAM is a brand that was started in 2011 based on the philosophy of outdoor enthusiasts to develop lighter and more innovative equipment
At first glance, the brand is known for its lightweight gear, but the concept that underpins many of its products is not limited to being lightweight; it places emphasis on enabling backpackers to move forward stress-free in many ways, with the aim of allowing everyone to live in harmony with nature without any strain
This philosophy is also reflected in ZEROGRAM's wide range of tents, with many high-quality tents designed to be lightweight, comfortable, and easy to use, making them suitable for a wide range of users
Unfortunately, it is not easy to actually see ZEROGRAM tents, which are so unique and of such high quality, in stores
So why not take this opportunity to try out ZEROGRAM tents in the field and enjoy a refreshing autumn hike together?
If you would like, you can also try out tents from other brands that Outdoor Gearzine has in stock!

Location (candidate)
*Please note that reservations are not yet available for the tent sites, so you may not be able to select one
-
If possible, a mountain with beautiful autumn leaves
-
Aomoso or Takamiishi Hut or Kuroyuri Hut Tent site (Shirakome Pond) or Tengudake
-
Oren Hut campsite to Mount Iodake
-
Mount Kinpu from the Fujimi-daira hut campsite
-
From Fukuchanso to Daibosatsu Pass
...and more
The above is a current assumption, and it is possible that the route will not be as described here. The key is to choose a route that does not require too much walking to the campsite, where the weather and conditions at the campsite are not too harsh, where it is easy to accommodate a large group, and where the climbing route itself is not too difficult
Please also note that the route may change at the last minute depending on the members and weather
We plan to hold advance online meetings with those who have registered to provide advice on the location and details, as well as advice on preparing for camping and what to bring
Matches include:
-
People who have done day hikes and stayed in huts up until now, but would like to try camping in a tent (but have not been able to take the plunge on their own)
-
People who have been camping in tents on their own until now, but want to learn practical tips for camping in tents from experienced people, such as tips on choosing equipment, how to pitch a tent, and detailed camping know-how
-
People who want to try camping in a tent
As always, the details can be adjusted as desired by the members. If you would like to sleep under a tarp or in a hammock, you are free to do so (at your own risk). We will do our best to support anyone who wants to try camping in this way, so we welcome everyone who wants to take this opportunity to try camping in their own way!
Participation fee
Participation is conditional on joining the "Standard Plan" membership for one month or more (1,000 yen/month)
Once you join, you can participate in any event of that month for free, so please join us!
(If you are already a member, it is free. If you are not a member, please join by the day of the event.)
Regarding the equipment you need to prepare
Basically, we would like each person to bring their own tent equipment for a two-day, one-night stay
However, this time, to make it possible for people who have not yet purchased camping equipment cooperating brands and Outdoor Gearzine will provide support so that people can participate even if they do not have camping equipment.
So, as long as you bring the bare minimum of " day hiking gear, including the gear you will wear, and food and drink, " you'll be fine. If you don't have a backpack large enough for camping, we can lend you one by the day of the hike if you let us know in advance.
Please be aware in advance
Please note that this event is not a guided tour, and participants must participate at their own risk. Outdoor Gearzine and ZEROGRAM Inc. will not be held responsible for any injuries, illnesses, or accidents that occur during the event
However, we will of course provide full support to ensure you have a safe tent camping experience, so please rest assured about that
Of course, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us
