Announcement of the July offline event "Starting a tent hiking trip with Big Agnes and Arata" [Recommended for beginners]
Last weekend, we went on a two-day, one-night trip to Okuchichibu, Mt. Kinpu and Mt. Mizugaki, as part of a membership-planned tent camping event in cooperation with NEMO called "Let's all start a tent camping hike with NEMO."
Due to the large number of applicants, the event was planned to be held over two weeks, but unfortunately the previous week was postponed due to bad weather, and it was in jeopardy that this week's event would also be cancelled, but fortunately there was no rain for a moment, and everyone was able to safely and enjoyably experience their first tent camping experience at NEMO. Anyway, thank you to all the participants for your hard work, and thank you NEMO!

Collaborating brand 1: Big Agnes
Big Agnes is a hugely popular tent brand in North America, along with NEMO. This season, the lineup has been updated, making them even easier to use
This tent is not easily accessible in Japan, so why not take this opportunity to try it out for yourself?
Collaborating brand 2: Arata
It goes without saying that arata is a popular brand at Outdoor Gearzine. They are an up-and-coming Japanese tent brand, and the AX series released last season was very well-received. To be precise, in arata's case, Outdoor Gearzine will be lending out their arata tent and mat, but if you'd like to try using an arata tent, why not give it a try?

Minimum number of applicants: 2 people
Maximum number of recruits: around 8 people
Location (candidate)
*Please note that reservations are not yet available for the tent sites, so you may not be able to select one
- >Aomoso or Takamiishi Hut or Kuroyuri Hut Tent site (Shirakome Pond) or Tengudake
- Oren Hut campsite to Mount Iodake
- Mount Kinpu from the Fujimi-daira hut campsite
From Fukuchanso to Daibosatsu Pass
The above is a current assumption, and it is possible that the route will not be as described here. The key is to choose a route that does not require too much walking to the campsite, where the weather and conditions at the campsite are not too harsh, where it is easy to accommodate a large group, and where the climbing route itself is not too difficult
Please also note that the route may change at the last minute depending on the members and weather
We plan to hold advance online meetings with those who have registered to provide advice on the location and details, as well as advice on preparing for camping and what to bring
Matches include:
- People who have done day hikes and stayed in huts up until now, but would like to try camping in a tent (but have not been able to take the plunge on their own)
- People who have been camping in tents on their own until now, but want to learn practical tips for camping in tents from experienced people, such as tips on choosing equipment, how to pitch a tent, and detailed camping know-how
- People who want to try camping in a tent
As always, the details can be adjusted as desired by the members. If you would like to sleep under a tarp or in a hammock, you are free to do so (at your own risk). We will do our best to support anyone who wants to try camping in this way, so we welcome everyone who wants to take this opportunity to try camping in their own way!
Participation fee
Participation is conditional on joining the "Standard Plan" membership (1,000 yen/month)
Once you join, you can participate in any event of that month for free, so please join us!
(If you are already a member, it is free. If you are not a member, please join by the day of the event.)
Regarding the equipment you need to prepare
Basically, we would like each person to bring their own tent equipment for a two-day, one-night stay
However, this time, to make it possible for people who have not yet purchased camping equipment cooperating brands and Outdoor Gearzine will provide support so that people can participate even if they do not have camping equipment.
So, as long as you bring the bare minimum of " day hiking gear, including the gear you will wear, and food and drink, " you'll be fine. If you don't have a backpack large enough for camping, we can lend you one by the day of the hike if you let us know in advance.
Please be aware in advance
Please note that this event is not a guided tour, and participants must participate at their own risk. Outdoor Gearzine and Lotus Co., Ltd. will not be held responsible for any injuries, illnesses, or accidents that occur during the event
However, we will of course provide full support to ensure you have a safe tent camping experience, so please rest assured about that
