[Talk event held on August 18th] Archived video from the previous event will be released [Tickets on sale now]

The third offline talk event hosted by Outdoor Gearzine is just one week away, "We want to ask the people at Polartec in Japan all about POLARTEC, even things that you can't ask the stores or manufacturers."

With the event fast approaching, we have posted an archived video (Part 1) of the previous event on YouTube in the hope that those who are still unsure what to do will be able to get a feel for the atmosphere of the actual event

The last time, we invited Mr. Nishioka, the CEO of the up-and-coming headlamp manufacturer "milestone," and the event began with a story about the brand's history, followed by fascinating talk about the tool known as a headlamp, and a Q&A session with the attendees. The event was extremely exciting, lasting well over two hours. This video only includes the introductory part, so we will be adding more footage as it progresses

[Update on 8/18] Local participants will receive souvenirs from POLARTEC and Outdoor Gearzine

Finally, an update on the next event

At this rare and possibly never-to-be-repeated event, "Polartec You Don't Know (We want to ask people in Japan about things you can't ask stores or manufacturers about)," where you can learn all about POLARTEC, a top brand of high-performance fabrics and materials for the outdoors, it has been decided that a novelty item (souvenir) will be prepared for all local participants. These items will likely not be for sale, so fans will love them!

So, I think next week's event will be just as fun, blowing away the summer heat. I look forward to seeing many of you there and participating!

Once again, the event overview

Theme: I want to ask people in Japan about POLARTEC, an essential mountain clothing brand, about all the things I can't ask stores or manufacturers

Speakers: Mr. Manabu Fujita and Mr. Keisuke Hasunuma from SCT Japan Co., Ltd., Polartec's distributor in Japan

Speaking of POLARTEC, since inventing "FLEECE" in 1981, a lightweight winter garment that has now become so well-known that almost everyone knows about it, the company has continued to create new materials with added functionality to meet modern needs, such as insulation (heat retention), sweat absorption, quick drying, breathability, wind resistance, waterproofing, antibacterial and deodorizing properties, and reduced environmental impact. It goes without saying that Polartec is a world-class materials manufacturer whose products are now used in a wide range of fabrics, from base layers to outer layers and insulation (with over 550 types). Reference: SCT Japan website

Polartec has always been behind the latest hot new products, including the active insulation "Polartec® Alpha®," the new environmentally friendly fleece "Polartec® Power Air™," and, most recently, the new knit "Polartec® Power Dry® Mesh" that offers outstanding breathability. It is no exaggeration to say that these new materials are leading the next trends in outdoor activities

We think we know about Polartec, but we actually don't know much about it

What makes Polartec different from other materials? How are the many Polartec products different? How does it compare to that other product? Between you and me, what's the best fabric? What kind of clothing is best for this situation? What's the latest development with Polartec? We'd love to hear about things that are actually good to know in order to choose gear more correctly and wisely than you would now, things that stores and manufacturers would never tell you

As always, the first half will be a live talk with Fujita, followed by a relaxed, friendly chat in the second half until the end. Please note that the free chat will not be streamed online
