A robust and comfortable long-selling pioneer in back ventilation
It's really common in Europe, America, and here in Japan. That's what I think of Deuters, but there's a reason why it's so loved all over the world as a trekking backpack. This Futura series is a long-selling product that condenses the philosophy of being a pack manufacturer that has been around for over 100 years, and more than anything, as a long-established German manufacturer that has cultivated the mechanism of backpacks for decades. Let's start a review right away.
In addition, a comparative evaluation of backpacks including the deuter Futura Pro 36 can be found on this page.

This is amazing!
Comfortable and stable back system
It is now commonplace among other manufacturers, but this Deuter has launched a back ventilation system that maximizes the back by providing space between the back and the backpack, and maintains a comfortable carrying experience even when sweating. The latest Deuter Aircomfort Flexlite Pro System features a lightweight, flexible and robust frame and wide mesh back for a comfortable fit and breathability.
Additionally, the hip belt has side compression straps and hip belts and pads that sway with the movement of the upper body, allowing for a large pack to maintain a fit and stable load. This is a feature that does not exist in the company's Futura series, and in this regard, Pro is more suitable for mountain climbing and backpacking.
Durability
Unlike many backpacks, the Futura series has an average thickness of 210D (denier) fabric on the surface, and synthetic fabric is also covered in lining. The stitching is also stitched in double layers, making it extremely durable throughout the entire area (although it can inevitably increase the weight).
Pocket attachments completeness
Except for the small hip belt pockets, all pockets and attachments are large enough and easy to use. The zippered pocket on the side can store small items, while the elastic side pocket makes it easy to put in and take out the bottle. Each attachment that allows you to successfully attach the trekking pole and axe, and a loop at the top of the canopy that allows you to attach mats and other items, making it versatile enough for travel backpacks for general trekking.
Reasonable
Considering that a dedicated rain cover is standard equipment, it is very affordable in terms of price.
This is not good
Storageability
This is often said in other online reviews, but due to the structure of the pack, the packing space is less than that of other backpacks, due to the back ventilation frame, and I feel like the packing capacity is not being delivered exactly as the numbers are, with a packing capacity of 36L. I tried packing the full capacity of this pack into a MAMMUT Heron Crest 30+10, and it was packed at a similar rate.
However, this is a feature that often applies to other backpacks with mesh back, so this is not a disadvantage that only this pack has, so just in case. In that sense, even if the capacity is not as large as the numbers, there is no problem with capacity unless you consider staying in a tent.
There is no variation in the back length
This model does not have different size variations. Also, even if you refer to the catalog, there is no official range of back length, so it's best to be aware that you won't be able to see if it fits you unless you try on it in the store.
In this sense, the Futura Vario series, which has the same mesh back structure and allows you to adjust the back length, can be freely adjusted, so you can also consider that (but there are few variations in capacity, right?).
weight
It's clearly more solid than the other packs, but the pack itself is relatively heavy. Considering that a pack of 30L is an average of 1.4kg, there is room for consideration whether there is a benefit that will turn a blind eye to the 1.7kg pack.
Summary: What kind of activities do you recommend?
I've also mentioned various disadvantages, but on the other hand, if you actually fit it and you're going to have a perfect size and keep in mind that you'll be staying in a hut for a day trip or one night, this backpack is especially perfect for beginners of hiking and trekking. The reason is that it is perfection that has been adapted to make dangerous and harsh mountain climbing more comfortable and safe, and its excellent construction that has been cultivated over many years. This is the perfection of the "easy to use when climbing" that is unique to a long-established European backpack manufacturer with steep mountains just like Japan, and is slightly different from that of an American pack manufacturer that pursues comfort and safety during long walks due to heavy burdens.
Deuter also offers a lineup that suits a variety of purposes and levels, including models that support larger weights and models that support more active mountain climbing, and this Futura series can be said to have the undeniable ability as the "introductory mountain climbing pack" for these entrances. Of course, the quirkless construction will be useful for backpacking such as travel without any problems.
