Sea to Summit was founded in 1990 by Tim McCartney Snape and Roland Tyson of Perth, Australia. The company's name comes from a project that Tim, one of the founders, took over from Sea, where he was 0m above sea level, to Summit, the summit of Everest. Originally, it started out as a manufacturing of sleep bag liners, but now we offer a comprehensive range of outdoor travel gear, from sleeping bags, dry bags, tableware to soap.

The valve system is excellent!
This can be said for other Sea to Summit mats, but the ease of setting up and taking out is definitely worth choosing Sea to Summit! It even makes you think that. I only use it in spring and summer! For those of you who are looking for a more affordable price, it's not like that, and there are even lighter and cheaper pads, so that's probably better. However, the valves are extremely functional, so if you're tired of breathing in every time, it's definitely worth trying out not just this model, but the Sea to Summit.
