That charcoal grill is updated now for Reiwa! The outfit will also be a new metal charcoal grill and create a huge stir!
Do you all know about the existence of YOKA SHICHIRIN++ (hereinafter referred to as The YOKA charcoal is a stainless steel metal charcoal grill that started with crowdfunding, raised over 30 million yen, and was the fastest in the CF site's bonfire stand category, and is now a modern interpretation of the old charcoal grill that is still a hot topic. Apparently, 400 years' worth of time passed before that charcoal grill was updated!?
This is the YOKA charcoal grill, and it looks like a visual that is made into metal. However, its performance is packed with features that were not possible with traditional charcoal grills! By the way, YOKA is an outdoor brand that focuses on camping gear and is "making your holidays the best." It's also Giajin's first review of the bonfire stand category in a while.
A sample review of past bonfire stands
Infiltrate YOKA Atelier!
So, I arrived at Lake Yamanaka, unfortunately the sky was like this (bitter smile)
This time we were invited to YOKA Atelier, so we visited the representative Tsunoda Takashi, who was a special invitation to YOKA Atelier, where we experienced the abilities of the YOKA charcoal grill.
I'm ready now. This is also... However, next to the YOKA Shichiririn, the currently hot topic Multi-Gear, and the canned drink cooler boilis, which can also be used as a cooker for TMR, is currently undergoing long-term testing, so wait for a review!
Immediately introduce the ingredients prepared for demonstration!
Mr. Tsunoda himself cooks the charcoal, and since the charcoal has been completed, the charcoal starter is removed. An explanation about this will be given later.
The fact that this net is made of two steps is also a crucial feature of YOKA charcoal grills, which is why it has a function that most bonfire stands don't have! It's safe to say it's Tsunoda Magic. For example, when grilling yakitori stuck into a skewer as shown in the image, we use the "direct flame" zone in the center, but skewers that fall outside of that range cannot be cooked, so it's not a problem.
For some reason, Tsunoda has a DJ-like atmosphere in his use of charcoal grills, and that's what makes him look like a "sauna musician AKOY." Versatile!
AKOY official website https://www.akoy.jp/
The finished ingredients look delicious!
The ultimate thing about yakitori grilled over charcoal! And there's also grilled mackerel!? The fried mackerel should be delicious if you grill it in the lower section "Jiku Zone"!? The grilled mackerel that I TRY was also delicious, not to mention the deliciousness of the vegetables.
And when you're done using it, close the lid. There's no need to do the hassle of cleaning up the charcoal grill itself on-site! At the same time, it also serves as a fire extinguisher, so there is no need to prepare it separately. Isn't it too convenient?
Unraveling YOKA and YOKA SHICHIRIN++
We will be asking Mr. Tsunoda to talk about the numerous prototypes from the product version.
-When did YOKA start? -
It started in 2015, and I was originally working on toys and interior designs, but it seems like the outdoors are on the rise! I think it started when I realized that. Even before that, I've been doing outdoor activities as a hobby, but I think I'll have to take a step further before I can start YOKA in earnest. The first YOKA product, which was produced, is not in the current lineup, but I remember it being a wooden chair, table and box.
-Ride the waves of the Garage Brandt boom? -
YOKA started in 2015, but it has been going a little bit down to that point, but in 2017, when the camping gear garage brand boom began, a huge wave has arrived! And so, I've been flooded with requests for collaboration from apparel brands, and collaborated with various famous places, but I've been waiting for a long time (bitter smile). Ah, it's quick to eat, but I realized, for better or worse, that they won't continue. But it was a good thing because it was a hot topic. But! I also realized that I haven't managed to get through the wave at the moment, so I think that's because there were few approaches from serious outdoor areas. Perhaps the reason for the exhibitions where they had stalls was originally featured in a slightly different style of interior lifestyle. From there, by exhibiting at exhibitions with a strong outdoor colour, we began to step into the world of outdoors, and there was a turning point.
Until then, I'd been making furniture-related items, but these were hardly selling, and there were a lot of large ones that would be bulky to take with me, for example at festivals. This wasn't good (bitter smile). Meanwhile, a customer who noticed YOKA at an event spoke to me and said, "My friend said he wanted to stock products at YOKA." Hmm!? Do you want to get them together? Now that's it.
Until then, I hadn't made things with that in mind, and from there I thought I had to answer the feelings of users to "sort them" (lol). This was an important catalyst for me to decide that I had to make a variety of things from a lineup that had almost nothing but furniture.
-Are there any other triggers? -
I used to use Instagram, but this one was also slowing down at the time. There was a moment when I realized why it wasn't growing, for example, our chair. Cute at campsite! I think people would be happy to hear that, but once you sit there, you'll be over. Shall we grill meat from there? In that case, the main character will focus on that. The images that are taken and uploaded at that time are no longer our products. I realized that there were no YOKA products in the subject, which would not be the main focus of any products that will be uploaded to Instagram in the future. I can't compete with meat after all (lol)
Here! You have to make something that is in the picture at that moment! With this in mind, we created iron plates and frying pans, and we were still unable to reach the combustion equipment, the bonfire stands that would later lead to the YOKA charcoal grill. However, in the days when other tech platters were released that were popular, they couldn't sell even if they did the same thing, so I did a lot of ingenuity. This hit me well and it bounced very quickly, so I thought, I see.
At that time, I used laser cut and sheet metal to make the iron plate, but at first I thought this would make furniture, but now I'm shifting my mind a bit and wondering if this would make a bonfire stand in this way. That's what I came up with while sleeping in the hotel. So we had been commissioning a frying pan at the time and asked to use a bonfire stand, and the YOKA Bonfire stand was completed .
Source: YOKA
The fire stand is the main character, and I'm in the center when I take photos. And there's a sure plate on top. Thanks to this strategy, I also had some leeway. So what will it be next? and.
- Think about camping situations? -
What is the absolute must you have to go camping and take photos? When I thought that, it's definitely a tent that shows a lot of them, so I'd like to take it here too (lol)
Source: YOKA
That's how YOKA TIPI (now TYPE2). At that time, I was visiting Chinese exhibitions, but even before that I had been interacting with Chinese people to produce products, but this wasn't going well (bitter smile). In the midst of all this, I met someone who could speak Japanese, which I met at the exhibition, which was the reason why this TIPI came to mind. During that final check, I went to China and came back and I was able to go back just after that lockdown. As you all know, all of the products will no longer work, and I remember that it would have been quite difficult to make advance reservations for this.
-The camping boom comes next.
And the camping boom would explode as the coronavirus pandemic was unpredictable. However, YOKA TIPI will sell hugely because of the rough waves , and at the time I didn't really think that it was thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, so I think TIPI itself is popular. However, after the boom has passed, it hasn't sold well (bitter smile)
Ah, I think this was definitely the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. This was something that was said among my friends, and it was definitely a bubble. I thought I'd landed more softly, but suddenly it was a bit wow (wry smile)
However, the excessive camping gear (purchasing boom?) has passed, but it seems that the camping population itself has not decreased that much, and can you say that it has returned to a good environment for those who want to camp normally.
-The legendary mystery grill? -
After the coronavirus pandemic has come to an end, the industry has become somewhat suspicious. I'm exploring various directions as I'm shifting to not think about the bubble economy, but I'm in the process of looking for a garden... I mean, I should go in the direction of a resort. I thought so, and what products will live in such a situation? and. There was also glamping, there was a bit of an experience I had been involved with and after experiencing it, there were things I didn't like. Isn't glamping like paradise? Everything is already in stock and there are alcohol, so you can find luxurious ingredients in places that are so good that you should grill them yourself. So they'll leave it off and go home, the staff said, "No, please grill it lol"
I'm so full of people there, but that's the only thing I'm with! That's really annoying, and the event is a mystery grill that can be left alone and cooked.
This is a legendary item
Freshly baked. That's important, but we don't put the trouble of baking it on the customers. What gear has all of this? It was born from the company, and it was a patented product, so it was a good product, but due to various circumstances, it was a stay-at-home. One of the things I mentioned earlier is that the mystery grill is not at all tedious. That's what I mean, but how about taking up that effort in an outdoor field? and. That's... I guess it's one of the fun things about it. From there, the focus will be on the prototype of the YOKA charcoal grill, which was the "core" of this product. I think this should be released as a new cooking utensil!
-And the YOKA charcoal grill will explode
Mystery Grill is not a hassle at all, but you have to "transform" it a little. So, there may be a day when we will be reworking this and delivering it to you in a different way. So what is transformed? Isn't the process of baking itself a good idea to become entertainment? and. As long as it's fun, it's not painful or anything. I wonder if this can be done by brushing up the prototype that was the core of the Mystery Grill. It was born or rather reborn!? The YOKA charcoal grill was the one!
Some prototypes have different shapes.
From there, we have a storm of prototypes, and the production version has extremely good combustion efficiency, but this was also achieved through experimental results and accumulated facts. Originally, only the core was metal and the outer shell was ceramic. However, in this story, it is difficult to make ceramics. I can't change the design so many times. So, they'll start making it themselves, so they'll switch from factory requests to manual work, which is like clay (lol), but this worked surprisingly well! However, in the midst of all this, the next time I'm not interested in the ceramics requester (bitter smile)
So I'll just have to make all of them myself! So, what was created was the cylindrical shape shown in the image above. This worked well too, but this time it was simply a small grilled area. Also, this is important, but it looks like a cylindrical stove (lol).I also tried to double-layered it to include secondary combustion. If you upload this on a video, people who watch it will comment like, "How beautiful flames will come out?" If that happens, this will be a showdown with the X-Los Stove!? It's a structure that's just a matter of course, and that's not true.
This is where you realize that you probably wanted to make charcoal grills. Of course, it is a charcoal grill by design. However, customers cannot understand that it looks like a cylinder, and that everyone who sees it must look like a "charcoal grill." Here you can clearly see the appearance of a charcoal grill! That vision is decided.
-While exploring the airflow, can you discover new possibilities? -
It was decided to turn it into a charcoal grill, but at that time I was trying to make it suitable for use only in the open flame area above, without considering the radiant heat spreading horizontally. From there, we will explore the possibilities in the core part of the YOKA charcoal grill, but I think that the efficiency will not improve if air flows back and forth in a double fixed state rather than just a separate type like the one we have now.
The core part of the prototype was not separated.
Isn't it better to simply take it from there? This is where the experiments I mentioned earlier, that the current separation system, and that the central part at the time was also plate-like, is now mesh-shaped, so that the outer charcoal starter part can be removed, leading to heat spreading horizontally. As a result, it has been made easy to spark today, making it a product that anyone can easily use. If it's a bonfire stand that is difficult to fire, there's no need to prepare a separate charcoal starter or something and transfer it to the main unit once it's on fire, making really logical.
-The double-two-storey net is the invention!?-
Double netting is also an important element that makes up the YOKA charcoal grill
First of all, it's simply fun to look at. By removing the second-tier net, charcoal can be supplied from the center, and the cooking process changes depending on the upper direct flame zone and the lower radiant heat zone, which is packed with entertainment elements. So it's fun to just bake. The radiant heat zone on the lower shelf is also a by-product of the charcoal grill shape, and this is something that could not be used with conventional charcoal grills, and fried foods that are roasted with radiant heat are delicious.
This different usage of yaki zones is the true essence of YOKA charcoal grills.
The reason why this sparked me was trying to get the idea of somehow increasing the area of fire, when I tried to sweep the net for the cylindrical version onto it, and then a double net was created. This was developed to create a double-two-tier, three-dimensional network.
- Do you measure the volume of air under your feet? -
The height of the legs is also different, with the Proto and the products. It's not a physical calculation of the capacity of the air that should be here, but after considering the amount of heat that is down and the flow of air intake, it has become the current height. The feet themselves have different shapes, but this is something that can be done at affiliated factories!? It will bounce back to costs, so I'm completely rejected (bitter smile)
The prototypes have a total of five shells and a separate internal core, but this is still a regular product among the many YOKA projects. It's a hassle, but I hope it will sell for a long time since it's released as a product. I want to bring out the strength of things that are not constant and not end in the world. I'm grateful that the design is said to be quite cool and cool, but for me, I didn't design it because I thought it was cool. Since it is a product that deals with fire, it is not possible to "fail" more than design, and if the bottom is missing, it's not a joke. So, as a result of doing unnecessary things, you will never be able to get there. So I didn't think of this as a decoration, but I think that the fact that it was said to be cool is quite "strong" as a product.
The prototype on the right and the product version of the almost final stage.
Finally, the result of the stacking technical results is that the current shape is to be expanded from the cylindrical type to expand the baked surface and to make it into a charcoal grill, but with the cylindrical type, the flame only appears directly above it. As a result of expanding this, the carefully crafted zone that I mentioned earlier was created. You will notice later that this is the pure radiant heat zone.I realized why I realized that the taste of grilled green onions is different for the top and bottom, and that the green onions are even tastier at the bottom, because the flame quality is different. And that's because there was no purely radiant heat zone in the history of "charcoal birds"!? All of them are only cooked directly through heat. I'm continuing my research day and night, thinking that this is a very groundbreaking revolution and I can still explore more here today!
-The development period was 10 months, not too short or too long, and those who have been paying attention to it may be familiar with crowdfunding, and the result was a huge hit with people who wanted a charcoal grill, but the existing ones aren't bad either, but the ones that were already in the process were so popular that they were so popular that they were so incredible amounts that they've been able to continue to this day.
From here onwards, the author will be reviewing the YOKA charcoal grill.
Try using YOKA SHICHIRIN++.
I was also the first to take a look through crowdfunding and have already obtained the first lot. I've been using it many times since then at camping, but to put it first, this is the only way to win for those who want to enjoy charcoal with just one to four people! It's the state honestly. It's easy to ignite, the ease of burning, the efficiency of combustion, and the tedious cleaning up on site is basically too perfect if you don't need to worry about ALL in ONE... But it's just a large group of people grill it! Needless to say, it's not suitable for situations like this.
Let's take this to the mountains! This is not the case at this point, but I think this is fine for installing it at a BBQ, camp, or base camp.

All parts of the YOKA charcoal grill are clockwise from the top of the center, with lid, legs, upper net, lower net, charcoal starter, and the center of the main body, and the storage bag comes with instructions.
Now let's explain the basic steps when using charcoal. First, put the charcoal you want to use on the core with a charcoal starter attached. Simply place the charcoal starter over the core from above. The tipped top lid shown in the image will be changed to a heat protection item, so lay it on the bottom of the main unit.
Then set the ignition agent in the center of the bottom of the main unit and start igniting the fire.
The core is set there and the fire is now over. There is no need to fan or fuuuu. All you have to do is wait until the fire starts! At first, there is a certain amount of smoke, but once it calms down, there is almost no smoke coming out.
It's only time to wait, and once the charcoal above is cooked and it's white, it's done! Remove only the charcoal starter here.
After that, put the net and bake! In fact, leave it when the flames subside.
My favorite of the author is a dashi pot with simple cut vegetables and dashi pot super easy to do (lol)
I recently bought this, and the new Zain Arts Nokpot fits perfectly in the upper net. However, the Nokpot itself is a product only for gas cooking and is originally a dish that does not require charcoal or bonfire cooking. I think that's due to exterior painting, but there's no problem with using it when cooking... but there are inevitably burn marks outside, so it's entirely at your own risk.
Source: YOKA
Once the fire has stabilized, let's cook it on Wonderland and above and below! It's fun to eat either way, but it's delicious.
Once you've finished using it, cover the top cover with a buckle on the bottom. There is no problem as the fire still remains, as it also serves as a fire extinguisher. However, the bottom is hot, so you need to be careful when placing it in this state. When the top cover is placed on the bottom while in use, there is almost no heat affected, so you can place it on a desk or something just like this, and when using charcoal, there is no need for a bonfire sheet, making it easy!
Above all, bonfire stands are dirty after use and don't really want to touch them, but once the lid is closed, it looks like it was before use. You can just take this outside home with the clean exterior and wash it at home.
By the way, you can also replace the net and store it all inside and take it home.
By using firewood, it can also function purely as a bonfire stand, and as an option, you can either use the core set to expect combustion efficiency with the chimney effect, or remove it and compete with the amount of material.
I think it would be fine to have a core that feels like it was used, and you can adjust the heat a little with a charcoal starter. If you use it in this state, lay a bonfire sheet or something similar when it's on the grass, or if it's gravel or stones, check the situation.
Easy to wash!?
From here on, it's time to clean up, and when you grill meat or fish, it's the fate of this kind of thing that will turn out like this. That remains the case, but it's fine to be able to seal this condition and take it home.
First, we will dispose of the ashes.
Well... it's in a pretty good state. By the way, it seems that by adding a small amount of water to it after ignition, it can also reduce smoke and burn.
From here on, there are some tricks that would be difficult to do unless it was a YOKA charcoal grill. There are no holes in the main unit, so you can soak it in the soaking area. Just put water, hot water and detergent until it is ground and leave it for half a day or more.
All that's left is to rub it with a metal scrubber or something! All the items except the burnt marks are beautiful!
The net is elaborate, so it may be a bit difficult to wash, but since it is a special item, it is thoroughly clean. It has a very rigidity so it can be used for a long time with almost no distortion. I think he's an outdoorsman, being able to clean up the final piece of work.

Last special news!?
The YOKA SHICHIRIN++ 3rd lot is currently being ordered! The recruitment period will be until the nearest June 30th, 2025, with delivery scheduled for late September after acceptance. The shell itself has been updated from this lot and is molded in one piece. The claws that hold the mesh fastened were also welding to stop the rivets. Yes, it is not clear from the outside until the 2nd lot, but it has a two-piece structure that can be seen from the back, so this will eliminate slight steps, so it may be easier to wash!

How did you like YOKA SHICHIRIN++? If you use it with charcoal, it's also attractive that it can be used even if it's not an outdoor environment. Almost everything is consolidated into one, so there's no need for unnecessary things. However, it's not a problem and is easy to use, so it's stainless steel, so if you use it carefully, it's almost impossible to say, "It's a living thing!" Once you get used to the point where the fire is stable and strong, it will become a versatile cooking utensil that you will never let go.
