The previous Rab special, OGZ's offline talk event "Our Favorite Hikes," ended with great success
OGZ, who knows the "real thing," invites "real" guests to each event to share a fun time with everyone. It's a relaxing evening like relaxing in a mountain hut, where you can learn more about the guests, the equipment, and the mountains, and fall in love with the outdoors just a little more... The fifth installment of this special event has finally been confirmed for Tuesday, November 7th!

Theme: "Mountain Gear Maintenance Advice Room" - Ask the people at NIKWAX anything and everything about mountain gear maintenance
How to care for and store mountain equipment, which is likely to become the most important topic for everyone who enjoys mountain climbing in the future !
Mountain equipment is becoming more and more expensive, so you want to be able to use your favorite items for as long as possible
Meanwhile, the world is beginning to make a major shift towards a more sustainable lifestyle, and we are fast approaching an era in which it will be common to repair and extend the life of old mountain gear as much as possible, rather than simply replacing it as in the past
The purpose of this event is to take this opportunity to "review and learn about the correct care methods."
What is NIKWAX?
NIKWAX, which has been producing maintenance products for outdoor wear since the 1970s, is a pioneer in the field of maintenance that has established new standards for aftercare for mountain gear, from water-repellent restoration products for leather shoes to cleaning and water-repellent agents for clothing, as well as various gear such as sleeping bags, tents, and gloves. Furthermore, when ozone depletion and aerosol sprays became a problem in the 1980s, NIKWAX was quick to launch the water-soluble NIKWAX lineup, making it a great brand that has always had a strong environmental consciousness
This time, we will be welcoming Kazutoshi Ota from Evernew, a company that has been selling NIKWAX in Japan for many years, as our guest. He will teach us all about how NIKWAX products and other care products work, how to actually care for them, and how to store them after care, as well as giving us plenty of practical tips and tricks on how to maintain your tools!

Mr. Ota has been involved with NIKWAX at EVERNEW for many years, and is literally one of the people in Japan who knows NIKWAX best. At the event, we hope to have Mr. Ota teach us as much as time allows about how to care for mountain wear and equipment, from the basics to the basics and practical know-how
We invite questions in advance
We would like to make the event as practical as possible, rather than just what is written on manufacturer websites or in textbooks, so we will start with a brief introduction to NIKWAX and then proceed in a ``problem consultation'' format, where we will answer specific questions one by one
For this reason, we are looking for questions in advance so that we can answer as many as possible smoothly. Whether you are planning to participate or not, if you have any questions you would like to ask about mountain gear maintenance, please feel free to ask them using the question form below!
If you bring the item to the site, we can diagnose your problem on the spot
Those attending on-site will be able to easily consult with professionals in the field about questions they might normally find difficult to ask, such as, "Should I replace it if it's this old, or can it still be maintained?"
We will also be demonstrating water repellent maintenance
In addition to consultations, we are also planning to demonstrate water-repellent maintenance, an essential care for the coming winter. Details will be announced as soon as they are decided. "Our Favorite Hikes" welcomes people from a variety of professions and positions involved in the outdoors in Japan, and aims to be an exciting place where you can meet fellow mountain and gear lovers and have deep interactions. No prior knowledge, let alone any skill or experience, is necessary to participate. Anyone of any age or gender is welcome, and solo hikers are also welcome. You are welcome to bring your own drinks and food. Please prepare your own food and drinks on the day. There is a convenience store that sells alcohol within a 0-minute walk, so I recommend going there (and we will also try to prepare some at the venue if possible)

- The online venue will open 30 minutes before the start of the show
- The event will be streamed using Zoom's webinar function
- You can watch from any PC, smartphone, or tablet with an internet connection

- Doors will open and reception will begin 30 minutes before the start of the show
- We have rented out a venue that can accommodate up to 20 people, and have limited the number of participants to allow for ample space
