[A self-paying review without any consideration] PAAGOWORKS RUSH 30: It's so comfortable to carry that you can't leave it anymore. "Runable" backpack for fast packing has been updated

Due to my job writing reviews on mountain equipment, I often carry new products that are released every day, and it has been a long time since I never walked in the same backpack. Even for myself, there are some "regular items that you can't miss" that I bring up whenever I'm in a lot of ways, such as when I'm taking a private mountain hike with a friend or taking on a hard course.

One of them the PAAGOWORKS RUSH 30, . He is an essential companion for mountain climbing, which involves mixing running, from day trips to overnight stays (in the summer), and so on.

The horseshoe shape of Mt. Tanigawa in autumn, which you will never forget, is the hard journey from sunrise to sunset. The day I first carried it on my shoulder, I was suddenly hit with a hard time. Since then, I have become a permanent regular, and have become more and more attached to each small evolution, and have been using it from nearly five years ago to the present day.

The PAAGOWORKS RUSH 30 was updated this year for the first time, and of course I bought it right away. We're bringing you a review of how we've finally got a lot of effort from this spring on our shoulders.

Main features of PAAGOWORKS RUSH 30

Detailed review

Comfort and stability: Once you carry it on your back, anyone can understand the ultimate comfort

Even though I am fully aware that "one-of-a-kind" is a big word to describe a product, and that it is not easy to use and can't be used to describe it, I can't help but use it when it comes to the comfort of carrying this backpack. That's how I've always loved this pack since I first carried it on my back, and it's the ultimate stable comfort I've never experienced anywhere else.

The secret lies in the trinity rear structure of the uniquely designed "a high center of gravity design, a shoulder top stabilizer that increases load stability," and a "high-fitting shoulder harness."

High center of gravity design and top stabilizer that draws the center of gravity closer to the body

First, let's look at the shape of this backpack, which is also advertised on the official website. It is generally said that the center of gravity of a backpack is ideally suited to be as close to your body as possible, at shoulder height (photo below).

Reference: Deuter PACKING A BACKPACK

The RUSH 30 has a larger area at the top than the bottom area, and has a "V-shaped" shape that allows more luggage to fit upwards, so even if you pack your luggage without thinking about it, the center of gravity naturally reaches the height near the shoulder (or the ideal center of gravity).

This alone is attractive enough, but it's too early to say that it's "one-of-a-kind" on your back. This is where the true value of RUSH 30

The ideal backpack's center of gravity is not only height, but also the distance between you and your body. In other words, how close the pack's center of gravity is to your body.

the RUSH 30 will also be realized with Columbus's egg-like ideas that other backpacks do not have. This is a top stabilizer buckle that can be used as a rain cover and is attached to the shoulder (photo below).

The part that is installed in a typical mountain climbing backpack and is a "Shoulder Stabilizer" that has the function of suppressing the shaking of the pack and pulling it towards the body is placed at the tip of the rain cover as a "top stabilizer." This keeps the center of gravity (top) of the pack constantly close to the shoulder (= body), minimizing shaking while moving.

By making the center of gravity positions in both vertical and horizontal directions even closer to your ideals, no matter how hard you don't know the tricks for packing, you can simply pack your luggage and keep the center of gravity in a somewhat ideal location. It's too stunning, PergoWorks.

A shoulder harness that only those who carry it on their shoulders can understand, gently enveloping it

This groundbreaking back structure alone is great, but what's even more special is the shoulder harness (shoulder belt). This isn't actually normal either.

The RUSH 30 shoulder harness has a urethane pad that has moderate cushioning and a more "strength" strength than usual, and even the entire harness is built into the "shoulder, not just the shoulders, but the entire harness" (the surface area that touches the skin is made of three-dimensional mesh fabric to ensure breathability).

The moment you carry it on your back, it gently fits it envelops your entire chest. It's not an exaggeration, it's as if the moist and soft palms wrap around your entire breast. This is a unique and comfortable feeling that you can only see the ultimate feel of the shoulder harness and the back panel, as it is packed with wide and soft pressure, and you won't be able to see it unless you actually carry it on your back. Incidentally, the fit and stability are further reinforced by the underarm belt, which has two starting points (photo below).

The inside of the back is built into a removable urethane foam (approximately 10 grams), which keeps the flat back so that your back won't become rounded even when you put your luggage in full.

In addition, the back contacting the back is equipped with three-dimensional mesh pads with breathability and cushioning, providing a comfortable feel. In fact, this is also removable and can be washed and used every time, so it's a great hygiene experience (photo below).

Although it is a backpack that is designed to be run, this model is not simply a simple one, as it is a larger version of the vest-shaped pack for running. When I walked around Mt. Nasu this summer with plenty of luggage inside the SLR camera, and when I ran and traversed the long ridge, I couldn't find any drawbacks that seemed to be defective, such as cushioning and ventilation on my back, shoulders, and chest, so I was able to act very comfortably (as always).

Storage and functionality: In addition to basic storage, it also has a plus-equipment for your convenience.

The opening of the main storage is a drawstring bag (with compression buckle), similar to that for general mountain climbing, but it has been designed to be easy to use, with a structure that opens wide to the body rather than directly above, and a cord lock that can be opened with one action (by pinching both ends of the bag) (photo below).

In addition to accessing the main storage, you can also use the water-repellent zipper located on the side (photo below). This zipper is often omitted in lightweight, small-capacity backpacks, and personally I love it so much that it classifies the manufacturer as "love".

In addition, the area around the shoulder harness, one of the most interesting storage areas for vest-shaped backpacks, is the area around the shoulder harness, but its wide area makes use of the wide area, making it a very spacious pocket (photo below). There are 6 (3x2) stretch mesh pockets (3x2) that are symmetrical and can store soft flasks, 500ml plastic bottles, gels, tablets, smartphones, etc. (photo below). A change from the previous model is that it has been added with a smaller mesh pocket for tablets, making it even more convenient than before, although it is detailed. Please be aware that the deepest mesh pocket for bottles (photo 2 below) cannot fit vertical

I tried out the folding trekking poles and found that they could be stored in three ways. One method is to pass it through the holders on both sides of the drawcords on the left and right sides and secure them (right of the photo below). Alternatively, you can use the cord lock and mesh pocket that comes with the shoulder harness (left photo below). This is unofficial, but it has the advantage that you can easily store the pack while walking without removing it.

Or simply store it in the side mesh pocket (photo below). If you consider that these storage materials themselves have little habits and can be used in a general way depending on how they are used, it is clear that the accuracy of the basic construction is important.

In addition, it is equipped with plenty of smart storage that keeps weight down and does not lose its convenience. The zipper pocket on the top comes with a key clip, making it wide and easy to find items (top left of the photo below). The material was changed from the mesh up to the previous model to fabric, but this made it less likely to sagg and more weather resistance and durability.

There is also a zipper pocket inside for storing small items. This one used to have a water-resistant pocket, but on the other hand, this one has been changed to regular nylon fabric. Of course, it also has a built-in hydration sleeve (top right and bottom right of the photo below).

The side mesh pockets also have diagonal openings, allowing you to access the bottles stored here while standing (bottom left of the photo below).

Front drawcords that also serve as compression

The telescopic drawcords that are stretched throughout the front not only hold objects in place, but also compress the pack. This is extremely effective in terms of storage, stability of the pack (prevents blurring), and weight reduction.

However, although there may be some disagreements, I feel like this front part is a bit of a waste. If it's a fast packing backpack, I would want to make the most of the storage space on the outside, and I would have liked to have a larger pocket here (with the drawcord still in place). This should allow for even more storage and quick access.

I tried out a waist belt to prevent shaking, and it turned out to be my "day backpack."

This is a bit of a side note, but since this pack is based on a running pack, the waist belt also has a simple strap buckle. I have no particular complaints about this in itself, but since it's my favorite backpack, I couldn't contain my desire to go all out to my liking, so after trying and error, I replaced it with a more luxurious waist belt with cushions and pockets (photo below).

↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓

Many people find that a thin "string" is enough for waist belts to reduce shaking, but in my own experience, even if it is a backpack that supports the chest, if it is larger than 30 liters, it will be more comfortable to carry with your back (not only to reduce shaking). The waist belt is also more comfortable to have as wide and sturdy as possible, and having a pocket here will also give you even more convenient storage.

This replaced waist belt actually came with the Gossamer Gear Fast Kumo 36

I tried changing to this and what do you think? Not only is it extremely comfortable to carry, as you would expect, but the addition of small pockets on both waists also makes it even more convenient and easy to store. This is truly my strongest fast packing backpack...and an even more unchangeable partner has been born.

Summary: The ideal fast packing backpack that combines comfort with comfort, lightness, convenience and expandability

As the eldest son of the RUSH series, which is designed to suit the Japanese body type, the PAAGOWORKS RUSH 30 , and is clearly the first choice for the ideal fast packing backpack that can be recommended for all Japanese people.

Of course, this would have made it even more high performance if the materials used were the materials that "gear otaku" like Dyneema, Eco Pack, and Ultra Fabric. The manufacturer must have considered that, but in that case it would have definitely not been possible at this price, and the RUSH 30 is not what designer Saito calls "Everyone's RUSH," so it's rude to point it out. However, I still own the X-PAC "RUSH 28" which was previously released as a limited edition, as a past model, and I am not expecting a limited edition model this time as well lol

In any case, this backpack can't imagine anything else that maintains the mobility of a running pack, while still having a capacity of over 30 liters that can be used to stay in a tent, and is able to balance lightness, comfort and smartness in a balanced way. Finally, let's also mention the differences between models that can be considered as competitors.

compared to the Gossamer Gear Fast kumo 36 which also appeared this season the Kumo , so although it is lighter, it can be said that this one is still more expensive in terms of ease of driving and stability.

Next, what if you compare the UltrAspire Epic XT 3.0 It is true that the comfort and stability of the back is well thought out, and the storage capacity may be slightly better on that side. However, this one has a great advantage in terms of lightness and ease of driving, with the sturdy back panel and storage parts. However, personally, I find it difficult to choose between these two, so for now I'm not sure I'll choose this based on the amount of luggage I have.

we will compare it with the ULTIMATE DIRECTION FASTPACK 30 , a long-established fast packing backpack It can be said that it is a bit tight in terms of storage capacity, but this one is definitely better in terms of stability to carry. It's clear if you ride with both on your back.

the RUSH 30 thought to be superior to many of its competitors in almost the same balance , but if there is one more room for evolution, it is about storage, and I hope that further improvements will occur in future version updates. However, even now, you can expand your own to a certain extent by making full use of loops and other things in various places, so to be honest, I'm not that concerned about it.

Anyway, if you didn't know about this backpack, then be sure to consider purchasing it for your overnight fast packing or for a day hike. If you carry it on your back, you will surely find a new world to be expanded by the feeling of carrying it, which overturns the common sense of backpacks up until now.
