[Online streaming decided!!] The forefront of high-performance outdoor wear from Polartech [3rd offline event, further news]

Friday, August 18th is fast approaching, and here is an update on the third offline talk event hosted by Outdoor Gearzine: "We want to ask the people at Polartec in Japan all about POLARTEC, even things you can't ask the stores or manufacturers."

The event will be held as a hybrid event, combining an in-person event with online streaming (Zoom webinar)!!

This project was originally started with the desire to deliver real voices from outdoor culture leaders, timely and in-depth topics to readers, and to hold more real-life events where readers can connect with each other

Once we started, we found that the once-in-a-lifetime encounters between participants and the warm atmosphere that can only be experienced there were certainly irreplaceable attractions, but it was inevitable that there were still some hurdles to participating in the event directly for various reasons

However, such a valuable opportunity should be shared with more people, and although it may seem harsh, in order to continue this event for a long time to come, we cannot continue running at a loss every time

So, finally, from this event,

A hybrid style of "on-site event" and "online distribution"

I decided to upgrade to

We're happy that people from all over the world can now join in on the exciting discussion from the comfort of their own homes!

However, at the same time, we would like to cherish the "charm that can only be gained by traveling to the site and participating." We would like to provide visitors with something that will make them feel that it was worth coming, so please choose the option that suits your interests and situation

Those who have already purchased tickets to attend the event, as well as those who are planning to purchase tickets in the future, will be able to watch the online broadcast , so there is no need to worry if you are unable to attend at the last minute. You can enjoy online viewing by following the instructions in the email we will send to all purchasers.

To book an event, click here! (Go to the Peatix ticket purchase screen)

We will use a system called "Zoom Webinar" for distribution

Even though it's Zoom, participants won't see each other's faces or names, and will instead be watching the event video one-way, so there's no need to worry. You can also chat and ask questions in real time during the event, so even those participating in the live stream can naturally participate in the event

Please note that even if you wish to subscribe to the live stream, you will still need to purchase tickets through Peatix. If you wish to subscribe to the live stream, please purchase an "Online Streaming Participation Ticket" through Peatix, and then register to watch the Zoom webinar by following the instructions you will receive via email after purchasing your ticket (you do not need to register for a Zoom account), and on the day of the event you will be able to watch the stream via a link you will receive later

To be honest, I'm a little worried about whether things will go smoothly from the first try, but I hope you'll bear with me in this regard

We plan to ask questions like these (as of July 31st. We welcome your questions!)

Regarding the theme for the day, we're basically going to go with the flow, but I'd like to share a little bit of the outline that I've sketched out so far (although it's highly likely that it won't fit into two hours...)

We are also collecting questions from our readers that you would like to ask Fujita at the event, so if there is one question you would like us to ask, please leave a comment on our magazine's SNS or contact us here !

[Basics] Here's what you need to know about Polartec!

[Advanced] I want to know more about Polartec!

Theme (reposted): I want to ask people in Japan about POLARTEC, an essential mountain clothing brand, about things I can't ask stores or manufacturers about

Speakers: Fujita Manabu and Hasunuma Keisuke, SCJapan Co., Ltd., Japan agent of Polartech.

Speaking of POLARTEC, the lightweight winter clothing "FLEECE," which has become so prevalent in the world that no one knows, has been invented in 1981, and has continued to produce new materials that have always added functions to meet the needs of the times, such as insulation (heat retention), sweat absorption, quick drying, breathability, windproof, waterproof, antibacterial and deodorizing, and reducing environmental impact. Now, it is used in fabrics for a wide range of uses, from base layers to outer layers and insulation (there are over 550 types), and is well known as the world's top material manufacturer. Reference: SCC Japan website

Recently, Polartec® Power Air™ is the hot topic of new products, including the active insulation "Polartec® Alpha®", the new fleece "Polartec® Power Air™" that takes into consideration the environmental impact, and the new knit "Polartec® Power Dry® Mesh", which has recently achieved outstanding breathability, and it is no exaggeration to say that the new materials here are leading the next trend in outdoor activities.

We seem to know about Polartech, but we don't know about it.

What is the difference between Polartech and other materials? What is the difference between the many Polartech products? To be honest, how does it compare to that product? What is the most recommended fabric for you, just here? What should I wear at times like this? What's the latest news about Polartech? And so on, we would like to hear about things that you actually need to know when choosing tools more correctly and wisely than you would now, and that shops and manufacturers will never teach you.

As usual, in the first half, after a talk show with Fujita, the second half is free and enjoy a relaxing and friendly chat until the end. Please note that freelance chats will not be distributed online.

Our Favorite Hikes aims to be an exciting place where people from a variety of occupations and positions involved in the outdoors of Japan, where they can meet and interact with other people who love mountain and gear, and deepen their interactions. Participation requires no skills or experience, nor any prior knowledge. We are free to age and gender, and individuals are welcome. Anyone who loves the mountains or the outdoors can enjoy it, so feel free to ask for your participation!
