[Talk event held on 8/18] Archive videos of the previous event will be released [Participation tickets on sale]

Written by Yasushi Hisatomi

The third offline talk event hosted by Outdoor Gearzine is just one week away, "We want to ask the people at Polartec in Japan all about POLARTEC, even things that you can't ask the stores or manufacturers."

With the event fast approaching, we have posted an archived video (Part 1) of the previous event on YouTube in the hope that those who are still unsure what to do will be able to get a feel for the atmosphere of the actual event

The last time, we invited Mr. Nishioka, the CEO of the up-and-coming headlamp manufacturer "milestone," and the event began with a story about the brand's history, followed by fascinating talk about the tool known as a headlamp, and a Q&A session with the attendees. The event was extremely exciting, lasting well over two hours. This video only includes the introductory part, so we will be adding more footage as it progresses

[Update on 8/18] Local participants will receive souvenirs from POLARTEC and Outdoor Gearzine

Finally, an update on the next event

At this rare and possibly never-to-be-repeated event, "Polartec You Don't Know (We want to ask people in Japan about things you can't ask stores or manufacturers about)," where you can learn all about POLARTEC, a top brand of high-performance fabrics and materials for the outdoors, it has been decided that a novelty item (souvenir) will be prepared for all local participants. These items will likely not be for sale, so fans will love them!

So, I think next week's event will be just as fun, blowing away the summer heat. I look forward to seeing many of you there and participating!

Once again, the event overview

Theme: I would like to ask people in Japan to ask the shops and manufacturers about POLARTEC, an essential item for clothing in the mountains.

Speakers: Mr. Manabu Fujita and Mr. Keisuke Hasunuma from SCT Japan Co., Ltd., Polartec's distributor in Japan

Speaking of POLARTEC, the lightweight winter clothing "FLEECE," which has become so prevalent in the world that no one knows, has been invented in 1981, and has continued to produce new materials that have always added functions to meet the needs of the times, such as insulation (heat retention), sweat absorption, quick drying, breathability, windproof, waterproof, antibacterial and deodorizing, and reducing environmental impact. Now, it is used in fabrics for a wide range of uses, from base layers to outer layers and insulation (there are over 550 types), and is well known as the world's top material manufacturer. Reference: SCC Japan website

Recently, Polartec® Power Air™ is the hot topic of new products, including the active insulation "Polartec® Alpha®", the new fleece "Polartec® Power Air™" that takes into consideration the environmental impact, and the new knit "Polartec® Power Dry® Mesh", which has recently achieved outstanding breathability, and it is no exaggeration to say that the new materials here are leading the next trend in outdoor activities.

We seem to know about Polartech, but we don't know about it.

What is the difference between Polartech and other materials? What is the difference between the many Polartech products? To be honest, how does it compare to that product? What is the most recommended fabric for you, just here? What should I wear at times like this? What's the latest news about Polartech? And so on, we would like to hear about things that you actually need to know when choosing tools more correctly and wisely than you would now, and that shops and manufacturers will never teach you.

As always, the first half will be a live talk with Fujita, followed by a relaxed, friendly chat in the second half until the end. Please note that the free chat will not be streamed online
