Montbell celebrates its 50th anniversary with a number of new releases this fall and winter
Limited edition items commemorating the 50th anniversary will be released in the spring and summer of 2025, followed by the fall and winter seasons. The colors evoke a sense of nostalgia. However, these items also look stylish. For those who have known Montbell for a long time, the brand logo on the 50th anniversary items is sure to bring back memories.
The 50th anniversary items range from casual jackets to items that can be worn for camping, making them a must-have for Montbell fans.
The Stream Parka is an alpine wear product made with advanced waterproof and breathable materials.
Introducing an alpine jacket made entirely from Montbell's proprietary waterproof and breathable material, Super Dry Tech. The Stream Parka . Pockets are positioned at the chest to avoid interference when wearing a harness, and the stretchy fabric ensures unrestricted movement.
Montbell's proprietary PFAS-free Super Dry Tech fabric has a water resistance of over 20,000mm, completely blocking out wind and snow, and boasts breathability of 20,000-60,000g/m²/24hrs (JIS L-1099B-1 method), reducing stuffiness caused by sweating while on the move. Furthermore, the soft fabric used throughout provides excellent stretch, and the ventilation and double zipper further reduce stuffiness, ensuring comfort while on the move. In addition to its functionality, the incredibly affordable price is also a big plus!
Highly reliable GORE-TEX clothing. The Denali Parka features a new membrane.
Introducing the Denali Parka, featuring GORE-TEX's new membrane. Equipped with a PFAS-free ePE membrane and our unique "K-Mono Cut" technology, which minimizes seams, the parka offers superior waterproofness, durability, and freedom of movement. Made with GORE-TEX material, which boasts exceptional waterproof, breathable, and durable properties, the Denali Parka features a strong yet lightweight outer shell made of Montbell's proprietary ballistic nylon for abrasion resistance. The supple feel and three-dimensional stitching ensure freedom of movement, making it a jacket ideal for those planning to work in even more challenging and challenging environments.
Alpine and ski/snowwear categories are clearly defined
Until now, Montbell's shell jackets didn't clearly distinguish between alpine wear and ski/snowboard wear, but the Powder Shot Parka and Powder Track Parka, the distinction is now clearer for ski/snowboard wear. The jackets are longer to prevent snow from getting in, and feature a pocket on the left sleeve for storing a wind skirt, lift ticket, or IC chip, making them more suitable for snow sports activities. This makes it easier to choose the right jacket for your needs in the Fall/Winter 2025 lineup.

New product for skiing and snowboarding: Powder Shot Parka
The popular lightweight down jacket "Ignis Down Parka" has been renewed with Super Dry Tech.
The Ignis Down Parka, filled with Montbell's highest quality 1000 fill power down , is a popular model that combines lightness and warmth at a high level. Its performance is so impressive that it won the 2019 Editors' Choice Snow Award from BACKPACKER, a leading US outdoor magazine.

The Ignis Down Parka is warm, waterproof and breathable
Ignis Down Parka has been updated with a change in outer fabric from "Windstopper® Fabrics by GORE-TEX Lab" to "Super Dry Tech." While it's not completely waterproof because the seams aren't sealed, it's an excellent fabric for protecting down from getting wet, and the highly breathable Super Dry Tech will keep you warm without compromising the down's inherent performance. This is a must-have for anyone looking to upgrade their winter gear.
The ClimaGrid Parka is an active fleece with a grid-like lining that provides a good balance of warmth and breathability.
This fleece has a grid-like lining. It's actually not been in the lineup until now, but this is the first time Montbell has introduced the Clima Grid series. The grid-like lining keeps the area in contact with the skin warm, while the grooves allow moisture to escape and trap dead air for added warmth. This is an active fleece that can be used in situations where you're doing a lot of exercise.
It can be used as a mid-layer in the winter mountains and as cold weather gear in three seasons, making it an item that can be used throughout the year. The lineup includes a hooded Climagrid parka and a jacket type.
Even warmer! Super Merino wool underwear now available in an extra thick version
Montbell offers three types of underwear made with merino wool, which has excellent heat retention, to suit the environment and season: light (Lightweight), medium weight (Midweight), and heavy (Expedition). For Fall/Winter 2025, they will be adding an even heavier weight (Expedition Plus) to the Expedition. This will act as a second skin for polar experts, supporting their activities in the extreme cold.
I personally prefer to wear lightweight types all year round, including for winter mountain climbing and backcountry skiing, but the extra-thick Super Merino Wool EXP. Plus Round Neck Shirt seems like it would be great for less active situations like camping, fishing, and photography.
The Alpine Cruiser 1000 with gaiters is great!
Pebbles and sand can get in during the three-season season, and snow can get in during the snowy season. To prevent this, people often wear gaiters over their hiking boots. However, if you're concerned about this year-round, the Alpine Cruiser 1000 with Gaiter is here, with the gaiter integrated into the shoe. The heel welt allows for use with semi-one-touch crampons, making it suitable for use in light snow and lingering snow, as well as in three-season conditions.
There are many models of alpine shoes for the harsh winter that come with integrated gaiters, but there are only a limited number of hiking boots that come with gaiters and are suitable for use in three seasons, light snow, and periods with remaining snow.
The Alpine Cruiser 1000 with Gaiters, which is equipped with thin insulation, has specifications that make it suitable for a wide range of uses, from three-season mountain climbing to light snow and residual snow. There is also a model without existing gaiters, so you can choose with or without gaiters depending on the purpose and usage situation.
How you use it is up to you. The highly waterproof Roll-Up Dry Container Pack 35
The Roll-Up Dry Container Pack 35 is made of durable PVC tarpaulin with heat-welded seams for superior waterproofing . The simple shoulder straps make it unsuitable for long-distance carrying, but it's perfectly suited for short trips like canoeing or packrafting from the riverbank to a campsite, or for snow trips. The front of the backpack features a daisy chain, allowing you to attach additional gear, making it ideal for water activities.

Roll-up design makes it easy to put in and take out luggage
Climabarrier Trekking Mittens: Mittens that let you keep your fingers out, making them convenient for when you're on the move!
Clove is made with Climabarrier, a highly insulating material that sandwiches a windproof, breathable film between shell material and brushed fabric. The Climabarrier Trekking Mittens are designed to allow fingers to be exposed, making it easy to use a smartphone or camera while on the move.
Even in snowy mountains, you sweat when hiking up, so if the weather is calm it's more comfortable to remove your gloves. However, frequently removing and putting on gloves can be a hassle. The Climabarrier Trekking Mittens allow you to expose your fingers when it gets too hot, making them a great choice for active winter hiking or backcountry hikes.

Easily cover your hands when you want protection
JETBOIL adds new model focused on ease of use

Zip 0.8L on the left, Flash 1.0L on the right
the Flash 1.0L and Zip 0.8L join the lineup, maintaining their high-speed boiling performance while focusing on ease of use. By adjusting the output and revising the relationship between the burner and cooktop, we've achieved high-speed boiling using less fuel. Both models have an output of 1335kcal, yet can boil 0.5L of water in approximately 120 seconds, an impressive feat. In snowy mountains, you may need to melt snow to secure drinking water, so the stove's fuel efficiency significantly affects the amount of fuel you carry. In addition to their high-speed boiling, the Flash 1.0L and Zip 0.8 's low fuel consumption make them ideal for long hikes and long trips during the harsh winter.
The "turn-type flame adjustment knob" visually adjusts the flame intensity, making it easy to adjust and extinguish the flame. Its intuitive operation and easy-to-use grip allow you to hold the burner in place with your hand, improving stability when lighting the stove. This grip is also useful for preventing the stove from tipping over when you have to use it inside a tent due to bad weather.

A grip that provides stable support for the stove body and a turn-type flame adjustment knob that allows for easy adjustment
One of the disadvantages of these high-burning stoves is that they are tall and therefore less stable. However, the Flash 1.0L and Zip 0.8L have a lower center of gravity due to the shorter distance to the burner head, making them more stable.
The lid with drain holes has more holes in the area where the hot water flows most compared to the conventional lid, making it easier to drain the hot water. The stabilizer for placing the cartridge and the separately sold trivet fit snugly into the burner head and main body, making it easy to store.

The lid on the left is the new type. The drain holes have been repositioned to make it easier to drain.

When stored, the stabilizer fits snugly onto the burner head.
Another noteworthy feature the Flash 1.0L 's built-in ignition device. It's also incredibly easy to use, designed to ignite with a single twist of the knob, just like a regular household gas stove or portable stove. Those who have used stoves in high-altitude mountainous areas may have experienced this: igniters often fail to work properly at high altitudes, resulting in the need to use a lighter. The Gearzine team also raised this concern with the product's staff, who explained that the ignition device is covered with ceramic to prevent ignition failures. Of course, this doesn't guarantee ignition failure, so you should always carry a spare lighter. However, the built-in igniter allows for one-touch ignition, making it undoubtedly more user-friendly. Incidentally, only the Flash 1.0L the Zip 0.8L requires a lighter for ignition.

The ignition part is covered with ceramic, overcoming the weakness of poor ignition (right image).
Another attractive feature is that despite being so easy to use, its weight is comparable to that of existing models.
