The second round of cooperating brands for the "First Time Snow Mountain Hike & Gear Experience" has been announced!

Written by Yasushi Hisatomi

The event where everyone will climb a snowy mountain, "Supporting your winter mountain debut! First time snowy mountain hike & gear experience event," is just about one week away on Saturday, December 6th, and we have received cooperation from two new brands to lend us gear.

Today is a follow-up on that

At this event, Outdoor Gearzine will support readers, both first-timers and those not yet familiar with the process of choosing gear when climbing a snowy mountain, which can be quite a difficult task

Even if you don't yet have snow mountain gear, we have prepared high-quality gear from various brands that you can borrow from manufacturers and compare and try out

We are grateful to have received cooperation from a number of prestigious manufacturers as our cooperating brands

As the first step, we will be announcing three new brands!

Gear rental partner brands [Part 2]

■MSR

Mountain Safety Research (MSR) was founded in 1963 by Seattle engineer and lifelong mountaineer Larry Penberthy. Driven by the belief that "better, safer, and more reliable equipment is the key to greater adventure," MSR has focused its efforts on improving the safety of climbing equipment. Today, the company offers a wide range of gear, from shelters to stoves and snowshoes. Its functionality, simplicity, and reliability make it a one-of-a-kind outdoor brand.

This time, you will be able to borrow several types of snowshoes and backcountry poles to try out the differences in walking comfort depending on the type.

■CAMP

It's not camping, it's "Costruzione Articoli Montagna Premana (Production, Products, Mountaineering, Premana Region)," or "camp" for short. Founded in 1889 in Premana, northern Italy, this long-established mountaineering equipment brand has been producing the world's safest equipment for over 130 years. Starting out as a blacksmith making pickaxes for mining, the company has now built a reputation for excellence and reliability among outdoor enthusiasts as a climbing gear brand.

This time, we were able to borrow not only ice axes and 12-spike crampons, but also several different types such as 10-spike crampons and chain spikes, so that we could compare how they differ depending on the situation.
