Comparative review: What is the best sports bra to keep you from getting cold and sweating even in winter?
If you were told to be able to withstand either hot or cold, which one would you prefer?
If I were to answer that question, I can still bear it if it's hot! I think I'll answer that. This is because once in my life I have experienced a painful experience that made me feel like I'm freezing from my underwear that has been cold from sweat.
Let's go see the ice trees with our friends! This was when we formed a party of several people and climbed a snowy mountain. I'm in the heat and cold. In other words, I was sweating, so I headed to the summit with the perfect fit of clothing that was as sweat-absorbent, quick-drying, waterproof and heat-retaining as possible, layered the layers firmly, and made it easy to put on and take off to regulate my body temperature. On the way, when it gets hot, I take off my jacket, and when it gets cold, I put on my jacket again. But this is so annoying... Ah, so annoying... Every time I take it off, I call out to my friends and stop. Ah, sorry...I'm sorry...I'm fine as long as I move, my body warms up, but when I stop, my body gets cold from the inside out due to my sweat-wet underwear and freezes again.
I was a little excited by the battle that was supposed to be fun, as it was a series of "hot and cold" things. Unfortunately, I have not been good at climbing snowy mountains ever since. In another scene, in Ultra Running, he also had a painful experience of slipping blood from his skin due to long periods of up and down movements. It's a bit of a stretch to say that underwear, which is supposed to be the most closely attached to the skin and protect a woman's body, will turn it into a murder weapon if you choose the wrong way...but how can it affect sports performance? I have come to realize the importance of choosing underwear from these experiences.
Have you ever had a freezing experience at a winter marathon? I think there are quite a few other women who have had the same bitter experience as me. So this time, I would like to look for comfortable underwear (sports bras, shorts) that will prevent such cold sweat and skin displacement, and will help you maintain long-term athletic performance.

About the sports bras we tested
First, in this review, we selected items based on the following criteria:
- It sways without too tight, and holds your chest, providing a moderate fit that does not cause skin displacement due to too looseness
- It is not easily affected by outerwear, and is sturdy and sweat-absorbent.
- To prevent sweat from getting cold, heat retention and high quick drying properties that won't fall off even when wet
- Appearance and durability
Appearance on underwear? You may think so, but it is an important point for girls who are particular about fashion and are particular about fashion that doesn't look so stylish, so they are selected for durability to maintain the silhouette.
How to test water absorption and quick drying with actual driving and washing
The actual race was divided into several times in the morning of December, with an average temperature between 5°C and 10°C. The tops are equipped with a uniform layering of short-sleeved T-shirts over each inner layer, a sports long-sleeved T-shirt, and a windbreaker. For the water absorption and quick drying test, the product is measured to a level that is slightly damp after finishing it with a laundry net and then dried in the shade at a window on a nice day. Every 15 minutes, we check the amount of all items to the dryness of the whole item and check the feel of the item.

MILLET Drynamic Mesh Tank Top
It also prevents you from getting cold from sweat and has excellent heat retention. Avoid the risk of harsh winter training.
Are there any girls who are a little bit leaning on their appearance? At first, I also felt uncomfortable with this ninja-like net style underwear. But actually it's rays! Once you wear it, you will be able to experience some excellent items that you can't let go of in your winter sports scene.
With traditional underwear, even if you absorb a lot of sweat from intense exercise, the release of the product will not keep up, and wet underwear will remain stuck to your skin, resulting in a vicious cycle of sweating, getting wet, getting cold, getting tired, and exhausting your physical strength.
In order to cut off this negative spiral, we proposed a mechanism that uses polypropylene-based material with excellent hydrophobicity and low thermal conductivity to have a bulky, highly elastic mesh knit structure, and worn under a sweat-absorbing and quick-drying layer that fits the body, allowing sweat to quickly peel off from the skin and transfer and spread it to the top layer. This makes the mesh mesh larger and slightly more dense. This creates a layer of air, improving breathability in the summer and heat retention in the winter. In other words, it sweats → your skin remains dry → it doesn't get cold easily → it preserves your physical strength.
During the washing test, the amount of moisture was large due to the area of the fabric, but it dries quickly, so it is probably the best item to prevent sweat from getting cold. However, it has excellent heat retention, so the City run I experimented with was a little hot. This may not be necessary when the temperature is above 5°C, or when you are in a situation where you can continue moving and maintain your body temperature.
mont-bell geoline mesh front hook soft bra
Quick transit possible! The front hook makes changing clothes much easier!
The Geoline series, which is proud of by Montbell, a company that is popular with Yamaya, is applied with special fiber processing technology, and the ultra-fine fibers provide amazing water absorption and diffusion properties.
It absorbs sweat quickly and spreads quickly again, so after drying in a washing experiment, this was the best water draining and lightest, and started to dry quickly. Geoline's underwear comes in a wide variety, and it's also convenient because it comes in a wide variety of camisoles, T-shirts, high necks, bras, and pants.
As the name suggests, the entire fabric is made of mesh material, making it extremely soft and light to the touch, showing its excellent breathability. Because of the soft fabric features, it may have a little less support to shaking, but it is comfortable to wear without any sense of tightness.
Above all, my favorite point is the front hook type. Sweaty sports bras are very difficult to take off, but with this, you just need to quickly remove the hook from the front. The color and appearance are not very good, but the silhouette doesn't change and you can layer a white T-shirt.
CW-X Sports Bra Runner's Bra HTY168
High-functional type with a 5-way taping structure that suppresses shaking
Wacoal is one of the best underwear for women in Japan, so well-known that it can be purchased overseas. It is famous for being produced after scientific analysis based on a huge amount of actual data of approximately 4,000 people over nearly 50 years.
This runner's bra is suitable for running and flying movements such as running, trail running, basketball, and futsal. The unique five-way support function distributes the shaking of the bust and protects your breasts well. The Y-back style design, which prevents the movement of your shoulder blades when you run, is stylish and may look cute when you show a glimpse. The cups can be inserted between the dough.
According to the manufacturer, Wacoal's commitment to sports is also important to make their breasts look beautiful. In my case, the difference between the under and top didn't match a little, and the cups were dented and the silhouette was a little distorted when viewed from above the T-shirt, but I thought the sewing and texture of the fabric were the best of all items. It has a strong support, so this may be recommended for those who are worried about their breasts shaking.
However, perhaps due to the problem with the insertion cup, only that part dries a little later. Still, after 45 minutes it was almost dry.
finetrack skin mesh bra tank top
A simple-fit bra tank that can be used for everyday use.
Following the French-made MILLET, the inner layer known in the same category is the dry layer that removes wetness from the skin. The brand story is that clothing is not just fashion, but gear to get you home safely.
The reason I learned about the layering technique that mountaineers often use is probably because of the instructions from the manufacturer here. This material is more of a special mesh than a mesh. It has a good balance of moderate heat retention and sweat removal speed, and is not in season and looks very embarrassing, so it may be perfect for trying out dry layers for the first time. However, the fabric is a little delicate. To achieve both lightness and functionality, we use delicate, thin knit fabric, which is vulnerable to repeated friction and tangles, and is prone to damage to the fabric, so you should always wash it in a net.
The dryness was slightly wet only on the chest pad, but the rest was just as fast as MILLET. From the perspective of skin displacement, the thinness and lightness of the fabric appears to cause displacement, and the store clerk honestly told me that some people may experience pain when they move violently, such as long running. It may be useful when you want to prevent stickiness caused by sweat during exercise where there is not much movement.
adidas W M4T Training Medium Support SB Bra
For people who don't like tight bras. Medium support makes it comfortable.
Wacoal, famous for its fitting, is called a "beauty advisor" and the store clerk will measure the size properly, but recently, adidas has also been able to receive advice from adidas's uniquely qualified staff, known as "bra concierge." And, interestingly, I received advice that conflicting criteria for choosing a sports bra.
Wacoal places importance on making your breasts look beautiful♪ There were commercials and products that said, "Tighten your breasts as much as possible. We recommend reducing them two sizes from your usual size. When exercising, it is important to not shake your breasts.". Hmm, I can understand if you say that.
My use is for running a lot, and in that case, the high support type is recommended as a guideline, but it was so tough that I ended up choosing the medium type. This fits in a moderate fit and is comfortable without any slipping or pain. One thing that caught my eye was the silhouette of the nipples... The cup is sewn on and cannot be removed. It is best to avoid white T-shirts that are thin and fit perfectly on outerwear.
Even after an hour, it doesn't get thirsty and dries the second slowest of all items, so it's not likely to be possible on snowy mountains, but normal city runs won't get too cold.
CW-X Sporty Shorts JSY376
I'll also pay attention to the shorts. It feels great on the skin and is comfortable to adjust your feet.
Finally, the shorts. Until now, I have only been working on countermeasures to prevent my sweat from getting cold, but what will happen if I also pay attention to shorts? I wanted to experiment with this, so I asked the editor-in-chief to include it in a comparison item.
As a result, this can dramatically prevent you from getting cold from sweating! It wasn't that, but it was dramatically comfortable to wear! You can see that the quality fabric is smooth and comfortable to the touch, and the quality of the sewing is different from regular panties on each tier. The elastic is also sturdy, so I think these shorts can be worn for a long time. Cheap shorts can easily stretch out the elastic and ruin it. Wacoal is a bit expensive for shorts, but considering its durability it may be worth the money. There is no tightness of the elastic on both crotches, making it comfortable to walk in.
The washing test was made from 70% nylon, which was cool to the touch, so it dries slowly than all items. However, there was no problem that caused the feeling of cold around the waist.
summary
Since each of the shapes and types are different, I will introduce two recommended scenes that make use of these characteristics, selected from my perspective as a triathlete.
Above all, MILLET has excellent heat retention. We highly recommend this as an inner layer for not only climbing snowy mountains, but also for cycling practice in the winter. That's because I sweat while climbing the mountain pass. However, as soon as it gets downhill, the movement of the feet that turn the pedal stops, and it tends to feel freezing. This cold weather on a bicycle can lead to accidents, not just performance. Therefore, I hope that you will protect yourself with this MILLET.
It can also be recommended for ultra-runners and runners who walk or stop when their time is slow and their body temperature rises and falls. However, this is not recommended for street runs where you can continue to move normally. For street runs and marathons in urban areas, the front hook-type mont-bell is the best choice, which allows you to quickly put on and take off after a race. Don't let your last change of clothes get free, just leave the changing room and enjoy the after party.
