Two trail-related events will be held in September in Yamagata City, Tohoku, the hometown of Masafumi Saito, who Outdoor Gearzine also supports. Unlike the still-hot Kanto region, Tohoku is comfortable and easy to walk in at this time of year, even in the low mountains. If the weather is good, it's sure to be a perfect day for hiking.
