Second ALPS OUTDOOR SUMMIT Report! Part 2
Now, let's go to the second part of ALPS OUTDOOR SUMMIT.
The first part is here
This is Sekibi Kodo, also known as Nodate Mag. Use lacquerware more casually in the outdoor world and in your everyday life! I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that he is a leading expert in bringing in the form of this.
It seems that a new bamboo cutlery series has also been released this time.
By making use of the knots, each item can be said to be a unique item, so you may be able to find a favorite item that fits in your hand.
There was also a special item made from real silver, made with lacquer, and there was also a gold version.
With the so-called regular lacquerware, it may not be used very often in everyday life, but I think Nodate's good thing is that you can hang in your backpack and take them out into the mountains and town anytime.
And this one on the right is a chabu table that is more suitable for camping.
No metal is used for the contact area, but it is connected only with a deer skin string. Just insert the foot part and secure it with wooden parts, and although it is thin, it is about 3mm thick, but it uses the flexibility of wood, making it durable even though it is thin.
You can also hold the storage space between the top plates and pattern it! So it's compact for its size. There are three sizes available, so there may be a perfect size for those who are interested.
Next up is AiFA, who operates a variety of brands, including Gossama Gear.
The Two of Gossamer Gear's tent is Gossamer, so at first it was on display with four corners floating around, so I thought that there was such a special mechanism! But when I asked the representative, I understood that it was simply due to the exhibition on site (bitter smile)
It is for two people, and is quite lightweight, with a total weight of less than 800g (but not included as a special pole that can be used as a trekking pole).
I also learned this on the spot, but Gossamer Gear also has clothing, which seems to be the only ones currently in Japan.
This is BRYNJE from Norway. Mesh unders has become more sophisticated with various companies recently deploying it, but the representative says that this is the pioneer.
It seems that the materials are made of polypropylene and merino blends, and various models. I often use 0.5 layers of the book from everyday life on hot days to the mountains, so I'm curious.
Mountain rover has been seen at outdoor shops recently. I've only seen small items before, but it seems there are also a variety of backpacks for the city/mountain.
DAHLGREN of America The sock design has been patented to make your feet more comfortable, and the material is mainly made from alpaca/merino wool, so it keeps your feet cool and dry while you're on the move! It seems to be a distinctive feature.
Chicken Tramper Ultralight Gear, also known as CTUG, is on display with accessories made from X-pack fabric.
allmansright, AiFA handles a wide range of UL thinking gear. This seems to be mainly accessories made with DCF.
The booth was full of merchandise sales and also had special prices, with many highlights.
Next is SECTION-11, who sells LELEKA HAMMOCK from Ukraine (!).
I just heard the word Ukraine and heard a little about the other side, but I've heard some amazing things, such as getting used to the days when missiles fly in everyday life, and I hope they will soon be able to regain their true self. Returning to hammock products, it seems that although it is based on 20 denier ripstop nylon, it is slightly different in nature, and there are various models with only the main body and strap included.
I touched the exhibits, but although they were thin, they were very strong and there was no sign of them breaking.
A reference installation example, we also have a tarp that is perfect for a hammock, sold separately.
A sataf sack set made from excess fabric when making a hammock. It is made of nylon 20D ripstop monolite mesh made from the same hammock material Since it is a surplus fabric, the color assortment is random, making it a modern-day environment-friendly specification.
This is YAMATOMO.FUN, who actively releases UL-type gear.
I'm basically cool with mountain tools! I'm the one who wants to do that.
Every time I think that this brand naturally has cute gear, perhaps because it's the representative. Yes, they were at the last Alps Summit, and I see them often active, such as going to other outdoor events, which is wonderful.
This is the one that caught my eye the most! UL FUN Packing is only available for display and is scheduled to be released in the future This is the S size of this one, out of several sizes, isn't it cute?
With rounded corners, this type of dice has a similar cuteness, I want this!
Another small point is that when packaged, it is flat, so it doesn't really fit, but the key points are that it is displayed with the items in place, and it's easy to understand how it is used.
Wow! The impact! This is Fall works. I'm curious about the author's camping, of course.
Also, the timing wasn't right on the scene so we couldn't actually talk about it, but this is a brand that makes camping equipment that is made with wood and metal. It is said to be a basic theme, light, compact and easy to use.
Folding Comochi Sunoco was released in advance at the Alps Summit I see, I think this kind of thing was there. Slatted tables where you can hold small items. It's convenient and compact! It's a very good point of view.
They also sold the "Fo" stickers on that sign.
I personally found this "Foo" interesting, so I asked about it later, but in fact, I don't put any feelings into it. The only reason I used it on Instagram because I thought it would be cute when I used it as an icon with the first letters of Fall works. That's what it means.
I see, the trigger is really simple. But there are moments when that kind of thing moves people's hearts. As proof of this, the sign seems to be popular, and he also said that you often see people passing by naturally moving "fog" on them.
On site again, 3355 is based on the theme of Nanoga's "storage cases that travel with nature." This is a main item with a pouch and case.
It's simple and lovely, but I felt that it was a universal good thing. main materials are made from pure cotton canvas (Fuji Kinume) made in Japan and recycled natural colors.
It's simple yet stylish and easy to use, and there are still many wonderful brands I don't know about, so it's a problem in a good way.
The afternoon talk session started around here, so I'll go and listen again.
Another theme of the Alps Summit is the story of two people who are doing similar, yet unparalleled work even though they use the same wood approach to craftsmanship.
Representative Mitai/Furuhata from Matsumoto Keisho Lacquerware. Since we are a company that mainly paints and manufactures guitars, I honestly thought what's the connection with the outdoors? I thought so, but now that I think about it, guitars are basically made of wood, and if you spread the word to an outdoor festival, you'll be indirectly in outdoor environments. I felt that Furuhat-san, the fourth generation, was the lacquer that the first generation cultivated (now mainly paints) and wood overlapped with the theme of craftsmanship.
It seems that the proposition is "challenging the possibilities of trees and colours."
I've seen the samples and it's amazing that each layer of the wood grain uses detailed techniques and not painting it.
Next is NODATE, who appeared in the first part of the second part.
This is Seki, the representative, and I'm also personally interested in that, as my previous job was JAXA.
First, I'll start with the idea of traditional lacquer.
I was once again taught me the possibility of lacquer. It is resistant to acids and alkalis and has antibacterial and antibacterial properties, and it is strangely compatible with today's era. And it felt like the time has come to face lacquer with its amazing service life.
After each of the solo talks, the session was held to share their thoughts on each other's conversations, and it was refreshing to see the two men respect each other's work. It was very educational.
It's just right, so I'll finish the session and go around the booths with Seki-san, who's finished, and have now finished. While walking, I also met Steve, president of Outdoor Gear Maniacs, and everyone in the industry has a wide lateral connection.
In that case, we'll be looking at Outdoor Gear Maniacs, who is well-known for Gear Maniacs, such as Six Moon, doesn't need to be explained.
Here's the currently popular carbon pole tag! Seki-san said the tag embroidery here is amazing. As expected, their eyes are different, and they are certainly beautiful.
The new brand "Outdoor Selection" is currently being produced by Maniacs. They apparently find, create, and improve things that are uniquely useful for the outdoors. There are also collaborative products with Nodate. By the way, the most popular Maniacs is the outdoor umbrella right now. They are selling well and are no longer on site, so I haven't seen the actual product, but this may have been moving since the time when rainwear was the best.
I prefer umbrellas depending on the area.
I parted ways with Seki and came back to myself, Trekvogel, an outdoor shop in Hodaka who only mentioned his name in the first part, told me that this is interesting so I should definitely go and see it.
PEBLWEAR offers products that seem like it's just a look
At first glance it looks like a normal lantern.
For example, send an image of the sunset you took that day to the lantern using a dedicated app.
It reproduces the color and fluctuations, and can be transformed with the images used. It's so high-tech that I don't know why (lol) The sides of the body are made of 3D printers and are made of specially processed to make them look like stones. I think this is one of the craftsmanship of the Alps Summit.
This is an excellent product that allows you to control audio even when you're still in your pocket, so you can just touch it without having to take out your smartphone and operate it. Once you get used to it, you can operate it with no look, you can use it immediately wirelessly, and you can arrange it with a dedicated app, which is just a touching point. I'm sorry.
The last one is Crettalmusen.
When you think of Crettal, you probably think of it as a backpack, but it's of great quality! There is no compromise in the construction process, and it is true that there are many models that are slightly heavier than the so-called UL Pack. However, as a result of the fit and load distribution when carried, the goal was to make it less tiring to walk for long periods of time, and there were quite a few people who found that Crettal packs were good. Which one is better depends on the direction you're aiming for and the user you use it.
I think the sacoches also have their own unique shine, although they are unique, they are not too eccentric.
North Drinkware, which is currently being sold as a Sputnik main body
There is a mountain inside the glass. It is made of glass, which is made from shaped by creating 3D data from each real mountain.
The attached coaster is also unobtrusive when the contours of the mountain range are engraved. However, since it is a rather expensive item, it has a rather well-received reputation as a gift.
That's where the time comes! is. No one is there to listen to them anymore (lol)
As I mentioned in the first part, I want to go around everything as much as possible! But this was the limit, there was also this place and there too! This means enjoy the snaps you take as much as you can.

How did you like the Alps Outdoor Summit Press Day?
I have tried my best to go through, but there is still a long way to go, but I hope to convey the passionate feelings of the vendors who have been able to interview them to everyone who is reading them. The third event will be held from October 3rd to 5th, and it appears that it is already starting to run towards 2025. The official website also concluded with "Thank you to everyone."
