[Breaking News] Report on "GOOD OPEN AIRS 2019" - An irresistible for tent lovers! ~
I went to "GOOD OPEN AIRS 2019," an event that brings together over 60 outdoor brands. It is located on the shores of Lake Miyagase in Kanagawa Prefecture. The day was sunny and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, so it was very pleasant! Many familiar brands are exhibiting, and new gear products, tents, and outdoor vehicles are on display. Now, let's report on what happens on the day soon!
table of contents
Displaying and selling gears that are interwoven with old and new items (and at a reasonable price)
Doors opened at 10am and we entered the venue around 11am, but it was already full of customers.
Each booth is bustling with a variety of gear.
NANGA and (mainly selling camping sleeping bags and aurora down jackets)
PETZL (there were a wide variety and special prices...)
ORTLIEB is well known for cycling lovers. Of course, my eyes were glued to the Atrack, a waterproof backpack that opens wide on the inside of the back ( although we've also introduced it here ). We also sell colorful running wear from GORE WEAR, which has really hit me back.
It is also recommended in stores.
Austrian national boot brand "DACHSTEIN"
There were several shoe manufacturers, and among them, there were some shoes that you wouldn't see in mountaineering equipment stores.
It's called "Dachstein." This brand was born in Austria in 1925. It is originally a long-established work boots, but in the past they have also made ski boots (maybe this one is more famous), and it has become famous overnight after a woman wearing Dachstein ski boots won the championship at a world ski competition. It is a brand known nationally in Austria, to the point that "When you think of mountaineering boots, you think of Dachstein!" Even in Japan, around the 1990s, they were selling well-known mountaineering boots for snowy seasons.
mentioned this article (Dahstein's section), we also exhibit at ISPO Munich.
Incidentally, the shoe on the left is the "Super Leggera DDS" (completely waterproof with knit material), which won the INDUSTRY AWARD for its "OutDoor Friedrichshafen".
It already entered the Japanese market in 2015, but it is said that it will begin to fully develop products this fall and winter. It seems that the main target is women, so this is also a rare concept, so it is a hot topic.
Discovered an urban outdoor water bottle!
I'll continue wandering around. There are cute Sierra cups with logos,
I found this bottle there, as there were thermos and tumblers on sale.
Simple and stylish! Rivers, a drinkware maker, was designed based on customer feedback that they wanted a bottle that can be used in town and can be used outdoors. Available in three sizes, the material is made of Tritan, so it is sturdy and can be used with boiling water. I really wanted it, but it is scheduled to be released in May. I would definitely like to compare this with my current favorite Nalgene bottle.

Tent tent as far as the eye can see. 100 tents may be an exaggeration to say, but there are a large collection of tents worth that much. This view is truly spectacular.
NEMO tents you can't miss
We also have NEMO tents that you don't often see in store displays.
This year's new work, Hornet Storm (photo below)
Atom 1P (photo below)
Dagger Storm (photo below)
In particular, the Hornet has been updated more than ever before, making it lighter than 1kg for both 1 and 2P! We are trying to get Ultra Light while maintaining our livability. He owns a NEMO Obi2P tent, and I felt that the living space was spacious and the design was excellent, but it turns out that the person who designed the NEMO tent was from MIT, which made sense.
A new "Rocket 2P" was released, which was not on display on the day, and I was surprised by the design. I was surprised at how light it was (620g). For two people, it costs about 600g! Also, the new releases that will be released in autumn and winter are even more surprising tents. Let's look forward to NEMO's future.
MSR Tent Heaven
We also have a complete set of MSRs. It was the first time I've seen so many MSR tents, just like NEMO, and I'm a little excited. This year's updated PAPA HUBBA NX (photo below)

Incidentally, the old Habahaba NX (photo below) was also on display.
In comparison, the color of the fabric in the vestibule has been updated to red to make it easier to see. The poles are also made of Easton's cyclone poles, which are made with the best of aluminum and carbon, and the rainflight floors are coated with an extreme shield system, which lasts approximately three times longer than before. Furthermore, the seam tape is removed using thread that swells when moisture is contained and sewing technology, so there is no need to worry about the seam tape getting worse, making it a model that has been loved for many years.

We were able to see tents that we don't see on a daily basis. This allows you to climb the mountains of a famous world. That's amazing... (a gaze of admiration).
In another location, there were also outdoor cars and campers exhibits, making it a full day of fun.
