This week we will provide you with the latest information about offline events scheduled for Sunday, December 1st!

A talk session with designers of the new outdoor brand "arata" wrapped in veils

First of all, as I mentioned in the review article the other day, a guest talk has been decided! This time we are invited to Sugime, the founder and designer of the Japanese outdoor brand "arata," which has been released this season.

The connection between Sugime and Outdoor Gearzine began about five years ago when Sugime started Teishin Tech and introduced a unique cooker to Gearzine as the agency for a Chinese outdoor cooking utensil brand called Fire-Maple.

I often receive requests for gear reviews from manufacturers and brands that I don't know who I know, so the enquiries themselves are not uncommon, but Sugime's email was different. I will never forget that the depth of knowledge, awareness of the issue, and passion that was extremely intense among the emails I received so far.

At the time when China was still the image of "Pachimon," I went to the outdoor exhibition "Asia Outdoor Trade Show 2017" in China at my own expense and realized the abilities and unfortunate possibilities, so I was even more excited to see "someone has sold real Chinese brands!"

After that, Teishin Tech became a Japanese official distributor for a talented brand called MOBI GARDEN, which I was so impressed by on the spot that I couldn't help but steadyly expand the items we handle, and began to focus on original development, such as creating custom-made Japanese models. Since then (he has been involved in a wide range of product designs, including home appliances and cars), Sugime's deep and broad insight into tents was incredible.

During that time, I had not stopped communicating regularly with Sugime, talking about the outdoor situation in China and various new gear ideas, and was looking forward to Sugime's next move while dreaming about the future.

Sugime finally created the original tent, the arata AX series, is the crystallization of overflowing ideas and drive.

I've written a lot, but what I'm trying to say in the end is that the brand "arata" has completely different roots from previous outdoor brands, and is a brand full of charm and future potential, with unique technical capabilities and production capabilities.

I need to let you know this more, which is the main reason for holding this talk event.

At the event, we will ask you as much as time can afford, including Sugime-san, Arata's path, what he has been taking, what he is thinking, and what he is thinking about in the future, so please look forward to it!
