As someone who has just graduated from the mountains, I still want to avoid exposing my skin as much as possible once I get into the mountains, but as expected, I keep sweating in this heat and keep sweating (although it's not impossible) so I couldn't get rid of the sweat I had on my face. After several years of "tug-of-war between safety and comfort" over pants, it's finally time to graduate from trekking pants style. The running shorts for trail running are now the main focus instead.

You may think that all running shorts are generally similar to what you would wear. In fact, the differences between models may be small compared to long pants, but even so, if you continue to wear them in various ways, you can still feel a strange and reliable "difference" in the truly comfortable clothing.
I was amazed at the comfortable fit of this Strider Pro Since these shorts are originally focused on trail running and long-distance activities, they are designed to be long distances or intense movements, and one of the features that confirms this is that they are stress-free and comfortable to wear even if worn for a long time.
The fabric is a 10% polyurethane blend of lightweight polyester material (recycled Ocean Cycle certified material) that is breathable and quick-drying. It is very light and supple, and has ample stretchability in four directions, so even when you sweat, it doesn't cling to your skin, and you won't feel any stress that hinders your movements.
The waist is covered with a flat elastic band, and the waist is also generously adjustable with a drawstring, making it comfortable and firm to the touch without any strain or looseness even during long running.
Built-in Brie Flyer with excellent moisture absorption and quick drying properties
The inner is a built-in brie flyer made of polyester, a grid-shaped, moisture-absorbing, quick-drying and elasticity. The moderate stretch makes it not only feel uncomfortable when worn without underwear, but it also makes it easier to move my legs and makes it easier to run comfortably than the innerwear I usually wear. It also releases sweat easily and stays dry at all times, so it doesn't cause any displacement of legs. Furthermore, this liner has been treated with a high-cue pure odor-resistant coating. The wonderfulness of stress-free patterns even in large actions
In addition to the lightness of the fabric and improved stretchability in each step, the cutting (pattern) of the pants are also excellent. The wide hem and incisions on the sides support large movements of the lower body while also providing good ventilation. It's not a big deal, but there's no sense of stiffness when you lift or open your legs wide, and it feels just like you're wearing nothing.
Four pockets for gel and a zippered pocket for smartphones
Strider Pros is not just about the comfort of wearing them. These shorts have an unthinkable number of pockets for their lightness, allowing you to carry all the small items you need to keep on running the course of the day.
There are four elastic pockets on both sides of the waistline, allowing you to fit a large or small gel or tablet, if it's small (photo below).
The zippered pocket in the bag allows you to store not only card holders, but also smartphones that can be stored on a size of just over 6 inches (the standard iPhone) normally (photo below).
By the way, my smartphone is an extra large 6.7 inch size, which is quite sloppy. I tried to see if it would fit in, but if I forced it without a cover it would just barely fit in, so I don't recommend it unless you want to let out a scream at the entrance every time.
Other than that, it has ample capacity to hold anything you want to keep nearby, such as ultra-small shells, sunscreen bottles, and headlight batteries, so you can keep it nearby to keep your routes running without stopping. Of course, there's plenty of storage space, but what's great Strider Pro is that it has enough storage capacity while minimizing additional weight and bulk. This convenience and exquisite sense of balance between style and weight is outstanding.

The surface is a water-repellent finish that is essential for outdoor pants, but this one is thoroughly covered with PFC-free DWR coating (a durable water-repellent coating that does not contain fluorine compounds), and it repels small amounts of water splashes and dirt (photo below).
However, of course, this is water-repellent, so if a strong pressure is applied for a long time, water will penetrate. The photo below shows the back part after a day's action, and you can see that only the part that was held down by the hip belt of your backpack is soaked in sweat, and the rest of the area is repelling or evaporating without soaking (photo below). Of course, the fast-drying fabric is easy to dry out quickly even if it penetrates, so there was no concern about the wetness or stuffiness of the pants.
Only performance dissatisfaction: fabric durability
He is an extremely honorable student in terms of instant comfort and ease of use, but one thing that caught my eye is the durability. I put my luggage in a 20-liter mid-length backpack with a hip belt and tried it several times, but after a total of about 30km of use has been reached, I started to see some fuzziness on the back due to wear (photo below). It is not particularly sensitive to pulling or snagging, so it is not a problem in terms of strength, but it does not seem to be perfect for durability against continuous use.
However, it must also be taken into consideration that Strider Pro, originally designed for running on and off-road, is unable to take care of the pants when they rub against the backpack. If you are doing things like running on the road or with a vest-shaped backpack for a typical trail run, it is likely that wear will not start this fast. However, if you want to wear it with a large load like fast packing, you need to be a little careful.
Summary: Everything you need to keep running in nature in the heat
With all the features needed to get through nature during the warm season, Strider Pro Shorts are technical pants that I personally recommend to anyone who is engaged in high-intensity activities in the mountains. From enthusiasts who want to enjoy comfortable mountain hiking and mountain running in the hot season without stress, to athlete-oriented runners and hikers who try full-scale long-distance races, to those who want shorts that can be used in a wide range of on-off roads, including training in the city, they can handle any area of running on or off-road. I think the only problem is the price, but with this high quality that can be handled in all directions, it can be said that it almost guarantees a reasonable performance.
By the way, what I tried was a 7-inch model with a balanced breathability and protection, but for those who are more active, there is also a 5-inch model available. Additionally, the women's length is 3.5 inches (3 pockets and wider waistband), and there is a subtle adjustment to match the style.
