Can you die without walking? Journey to American National Parks (22) Mt. Shasta's Jewels - Ney Springs and Faery Falls Edition

Following on from the other day's post, we would like to introduce Ney Springs and Faery Falls This area is just a short distance from Lake Siskew last time, and is a spot where you can walk along the river to see the waterfalls.

If you would like to know more about the Mount Shasta area, please also take a look at past trail introduction articles.

How to get to Ney Springs and Faery Falls

This is a spot where you can also watch the waterfall while walking along the beautiful 2km round trip trails along the river.

It's not too big or too small, it's a very simple hidden spot.

The location is Ney Springs Trailhead, Mount Shasta, CA (near Castle Lake and Lake Siskew) and can be reached on a light hike of 939m above sea level and 70m above sea level.

This is a place where you can refresh yourself while listening to the sighs of the river.

It is difficult to get to the trailhead while snow is piled up during the winter, but from around April when the snow starts to melt, I think you can go smoothly to the trailhead (depending on the snow accumulation situation that year).

As you climb the gentle slope from the trailhead, you will see a path leading along the river, so you will enter that time and head along the river.

The sparkling water is very beautiful. Sit on the rocks and feel the many negative ions.

As you go further up the trail, you'll find a waterfall.

It is a power spot on a walk that is close to Lake Siskew and is easy to get to.

Notes regarding the spread of COVID-19

As of July 2021, various countries are likely to experience a variety of situations, including entry restrictions due to the strengthening of quarantine systems, restrictions on admission to national parks, and restrictions on travel within the country. These conditions may change without notice, so when traveling, be sure to obtain local information such as embassies and consulates of each country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' overseas safety website (infectious disease risk information) and national park websites, and check the information about the transfer location, the countries where you plan to travel, and the area around the destinations you plan to visit before making any effort to plan and take reasonable steps.
