[3rd offline event] I would like to ask the people in Japan at POLARTEC to the fullest, even if they can't ask the store or manufacturers [POLARTEC NIGHT!!]
It's been about two months since the second session at the end of May, but we apologize for the long wait. The third offline talk event has been decided!
table of contents
Outdoor Gearzine's third offline event, "Our Favorite Hikes Vol. 03" will be held
The theme we will be discussing this time is a highly functional fabric and material manufacturer called "POLARTEC," which is surely anyone who works outdoors, has always been helping with at least once, and is an irresistible project for mountain tools lovers, where we ask people who are most knowledgeable about their surroundings directly, from useful information about their diverse lineup to the latest circumstances that can only be heard here!
We would like to ask Fujita Manabu from STC Japan Co., Ltd., the Japanese agent of Polartech.
Theme: I would like to ask people in Japan to ask the shops and manufacturers about POLARTEC, an essential item for clothing in the mountains.
Speaking of POLARTEC, the lightweight winter clothing "FLEECE," which has become so prevalent in the world that no one knows, has been invented in 1981, and has continued to produce new materials that have always added functions to meet the needs of the times, such as insulation (heat retention), sweat absorption, quick drying, breathability, windproof, waterproof, antibacterial and deodorizing, and reducing environmental impact. Now, it is used in fabrics for a wide range of uses, from base layers to outer layers and insulation (there are over 550 types), and is well known as the world's top material manufacturer. Reference: SCC Japan website
Recently, Polartec® Power Air™ is the hot topic of new products, including the active insulation "Polartec® Alpha®", the new fleece "Polartec® Power Air™" that takes into consideration the environmental impact, and the new knit "Polartec® Power Dry® Mesh", which has recently achieved outstanding breathability, and it is no exaggeration to say that the new materials here are leading the next trend in outdoor activities.
We seem to know about Polartech, but we don't know about it.
What is the difference between Polartech and other materials? What is the difference between the many Polartech products? To be honest, how does it compare to that product? What is the most recommended fabric for you, just here? What should I wear at times like this? What's the latest news about Polartech? And so on, we would like to hear about things that you actually need to know when choosing tools more correctly and wisely than you would now, and that shops and manufacturers will never teach you.
As usual, in the first half, after a talk show with Fujita, the second half is free and enjoy a relaxing and friendly chat until the end.
In addition, this time we are also planning to stream online as a trial (although it may not work as it will be done by imitating it) so we would like to prepare to allow those who are unfortunately far away and unable to participate without any effort. We will provide you with information on this as soon as we prepare, so please wait for more information!
Our Favorite Hikes aims to be an exciting place where people from a variety of occupations and positions involved in the outdoors of Japan, where they can meet and interact with other people who love mountain and gear, and deepen their interactions. Participation requires no skills or experience, nor any prior knowledge. We are free to age and gender, and individuals are welcome. Anyone who loves the mountains or the outdoors can enjoy it, so feel free to ask for your participation!
