An offline talk event where Outdoor Gearzine, who knows what's "real" and knows "real" guests every time, invites "real" guests to share a fun time with everyone. We ask the person inside directly about the structure and design of the outsole, which are essential for mountaineering boots and running shoes, the many evolutions that Vibram has made, and what will happen to the future soles.

About 10 years before I first started this site, the boom in lightweight hiking boots began, and I can't forget the overwhelming slip-resistant nature of the Vibram Megagrip. The importance of an outsole is incredibly important for shoes that walk (run) on uneven and slippery off-road, rather than running on flat asphalt. Although it is an important tool (an important part of) that can be said to protect lives, we probably don't know much about the outsole too much. This project is to let me know.

The person I'm talking to is Mr. Hirano from Vibram Japan. The main things you will be talking about are

• How are rubber soles planned, designed, tested and produced?
• Are there any precautions or special care methods when handling the outsole?
• What is the evolution that Vibram outsole has brought about so far?
• The world of outsoles match not only outdoors, but also work and fashion. A representative model of all time.
• Future sole in the prototype stage that we don't know yet

And so on, Vibram, the world's leading outsole, will be talking about two hours of "just soles" on the theme of "just soles." On the day, a simple test facility will be brought in to experience the performance of the Vibram Megagrip, and even those who have not yet tried the differences will be able to see it at a glance, so please look forward to that as well.

As usual, the first half is a talk show with guests around the guests, and the second half is a relaxed free time chatting. Oh, there will also be a novelty gift on the day. We will inform you later as more detailed information is decided.

Our Favorite Hikes aims to be an exciting place where people from a variety of occupations and positions involved in the outdoors of Japan, where they can meet and interact with other people who love mountain and gear, and deepen their interactions. Participation requires no skills or experience, nor any prior knowledge. We are free to age and gender, and individuals are welcome. Welcome to the talk event in May

The day after tomorrow, Thursday, May 30th, will be our first talk event since the reopening, "We will be telling you all the secrets that we don't know about yet of "Haglöfs" that can only be heard here."
