Check out Patagonia's new Fall/Winter 2025 items! This year's lineup is packed with highly anticipated new items and updates to popular items, including the exciting PowSlayer Freeride Kit!

Although summer is in full swing and we're experiencing scorching heat every day, brands have already started preparing for winter, and this time we went to cover Patagonia's Fall/Winter 2025 exhibition!

The Fall/Winter 2025 exhibition was packed with content. The Patagonia R1 series is a classic. This year, new additions were made to the R1 Air lineup, and the lightweight Nano Air active insulation series boasted new products that were sure to make you scream, "This is exactly what I've been looking for." In the snow category, new products were introduced to complement the PowSlayer Freeride Kit, a versatile backcountry kit for climbing, skiing, and snowboarding. The Powder Town series, perfect for all-mountain and resort winter activities, was renewed, and the trail running and fly fishing categories were packed with versatile items that transcend the boundaries of specific activities. The exhibition was packed with so much to see that it was nearly impossible to see everything in the allotted time. Let me share some of the highlights from the exhibition.

Patagonia's signature mid-layer technical fleece, the R1 Air, has been added to the lineup.

The "R1 Thermal" series was released in 2024, and the "R1" was renewed for spring/summer 2025. I was secretly hoping that there might be some developments in the R1 series for fall/winter 2025, and I was right. An addition to the "R1 Air" series has been added to the lineup.

There are currently four main types in the R1 series, but the "R1 Air" series boasts outstanding breathability. Its high design allows it to be worn seamlessly both outdoors and everyday, and it is a masterpiece of the R1 series in terms of both functionality and design.

R1 Air Jacket will be joining the lineup for Fall/Winter 2025. It's an item that makes you wonder, "Why didn't we have this before?" The lineup currently consists of two items: a full-zip hoodie and a crew neck. The addition of the full-zip jacket brings the total to three. The the R1 Air Jacket makes it easy to put on and take off when layering, and handwarmer pockets on both sides make it comfortable for everyday wear.

It's guaranteed to be comfortable, with a supple, stretchy fabric and a relaxed cut. The unique jagged design, a defining feature of the R1 Air, promotes airflow and provides excellent breathability. The collar provides ample coverage around the neck for increased warmth, and the hoodless design prevents clogging when layering. This will likely be useful for layering in the snowy mountains or backcountry during the harsh winter. The muted, deep green color is also appealing.

Why wasn't this available until now? The Women's R1 Air Crew has been improved! With a comfortable fit, you'll definitely be wearing it often.

Following the full-zip R1 Air Jacket, the women's R1 Air Crew has also been updated. While it has been available for some time, this update improves the fit and brings the pockets in the same position as the men's version.

The women's R1 Air Crew with its distinctively slim silhouette, has been redesigned to fit the body line more comfortably and comfortably. The lineup is now the same as the men's, offering a wider range of choices.

The Nano Puff series of synthetic insulation that retains its warmth even when wet has been renewed.

The Nano Puff Series is a must-have when talking about synthetic insulation.

Patagonia has produced many classic products, including the R1 series. It's also the pioneer of synthetic insulation, developing and popularizing it. Patagonia's signature "Nano Puff" series is being relaunched. Its lightweight, portable, and magical properties ensure warmth even when wet, allowing for continuous wear.

While not a major update, the shoulder fit and elbow articulation have been improved for greater mobility, the hood has a better fit, and a new liner fabric is softer against the skin for added comfort.

If you're looking for warmth, the Hi-Loft Nano Puff Hoodie is a reliable choice that's windproof and water-resistant.

Hi-Loft Nano Puff Hoody is even more durable and warmer than the Nano Puff series, and is also windproof and water-resistant, making it the perfect choice for those looking for warmth in more challenging conditions. While the DAS Lite Hoody is lighter, it doesn't feel heavy compared to its volume, and its slightly roomier fit means it can be worn over a shell when layering.

In mountainous areas during the harsh winter, the Hi-Loft Nano Puff Hoody can be worn over a shell jacket to instantly provide warmth even in extremely cold environments.

We propose a PowSlayer Freeride Kit that will complete all the tasks of "climbing, turning, and sliding" in the backcountry scene!

Backcountry activities take place in harsh environments. Leaving the slopes and gliding through the great outdoors is an unforgettable experience that captivates many skiers and snowboarders. Let's take a look at the items that make up the PowSlayer Freeride Kit .

The Powslayer Jacket & Pants, the ultimate shell made with 3-layer GORE-TEX PRO, has been updated for even greater ease of use.

Keep your lower body warm and comfortable! "DAS Light Shorts" and "DAS Light Skirt"

After a long climb, when you are preparing to ski, cold weather clothing is essential to prevent your body temperature from dropping. You take proper measures to protect your upper body from the cold, but what about your lower body? While you use your whole body when skiing, it is your lower body that is the main focus. If your lower body is freezing when you drop in, you won't be able to perform at your best.

the DAS Light Shorts and DAS Light Skirt feature full-length zippers for easy on and off, allowing you to quickly and easily keep your lower body warm. Designed to be worn over a shell, the fabric is water-resistant and coated for excellent protection in bad weather. The lower half of the body is also armed with "R1". Once you put them on, you'll never take them off! Women's version also added to the lineup.

The R1 series is well-known for its lightweight, non-sweaty, and compact regulators. But did you know that there was also a pants series? The R1 pants , are now part of the fishing category, so they're less well-known, but the R1 name means they're guaranteed to be functional.

The R1 pants have been given a new, streamlined shape. The slightly tapered hem allows you to wear a shell over them without feeling bulky.

The left is a women's model, the right is a men's model

Wear them from the moment you leave home, to the slopes, and back again. With exceptional stretch, warmth, and breathability, the R1 Pants are sure to become a favorite once you try them on. And now, not only have they been renewed, but women's versions have also been added to the lineup, making the R1 Pants available to women, too.

"Lightness" isn't everything. The Terra Via Sacoche is a sacoche designed with ease of use in mind.

A convenient sacoche is perfect for storing sunglasses, sunscreen, smartphones, maps, and other items you frequently use while on the go, as well as valuables. The newly released Terra Via Sacoche is a lightweight product packed with easy-to-use features. While there are simple sacoches on the market that only use strings and no padding on the shoulder straps in order to reduce weight, the straps can dig into your shoulders, causing shoulder pain. The Terra Via Sacoche has shoulder pads that don't dig into your shoulders, making it comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Two stretch mesh pockets on the exterior make it perfect for storing small items.

Discover a new hit product! The Airshed Pro Pullover is a windshell jacket that can be worn for everyday running, trails, and fishing.

Outdoor Gearzine has used and reviewed Patagonia products many times. We thought we had a comprehensive understanding of not only the brand's most iconic products but also its more obscure items, but it seems we were still lacking in knowledge.

I found an interesting product in the trail running category. The Airshed Pro Pullover is made of windproof ripstop from the torso to the shoulders, with highly elastic stretch knit on the hood and cuffs, creating a look that's reminiscent of a Houdini jacket platform combined with Capilene elements. The double-zippered pullover can be opened from the bottom to create ample ventilation, making it suitable for a variety of activities, not just running, such as hiking up snowy mountains, mountain climbing, and fishing.

And it's incredibly light. The men's version weighs just 105g, so it doesn't feel heavy at all when you hold it. It's packable, so it's easy to carry and can easily fit in any backpack. It's not a new product, but an item that's already on sale, but it looks like it's going to be a hidden hit, so keep an eye on it.

Provisions will be introducing organic miso made in wooden barrels this year.

Finally, this year we will be introducing miso from Patagonia Provisions, a food collection created by Patagonia.

This miso, made with organic soybeans from Chiba Prefecture and organic rice from Hyogo Prefecture, is aged for approximately 10 months without heating. Due to the time-consuming process of controlling mold and other issues, stainless steel tanks are currently the norm. However, Patagonia's organic miso, crafted using wooden barrels—a tradition dating back to the Muromachi period—is scheduled for release in October 2025. The wood's surface is home to countless invisible pores, which are home to microorganisms such as koji mold, yeast, and lactic acid bacteria. The slow maturation process results in a flavorful miso. I sampled both miso made from white rice and brown rice, and found the white rice to be mellow and mild, while the brown rice was rich and somewhat dry with a punch. Both had distinct flavors.

Even if you're making the same dish as usual, you can enjoy a slightly different taste by changing the base miso.

Summary: Keep an eye on Patagonia products in the fall and winter of 2025!

We introduced new and renewed items for Fall/Winter 2025, focusing on technical wear.

The Fall/Winter 2025 collection was packed with attractive products. I would love to introduce every detail of each item, but if I did, the article would become incredibly long, so please wait a while for the detailed review.

This was something I felt strongly at the Spring/Summer exhibition, but as technology and techniques develop and design improves and evolves, functions are diversifying, and even though products are categorized, there are many products that can be used in a variety of situations beyond those boundaries. Outdoor Gearzine will be field testing new products that Patagonia will be releasing in Fall/Winter 2025 and will be reviewing them across categories, so don't miss out on future information!
