Review: Eureka Midori 6 Tent: A great value 6-person camping tent I got on "Sekaimon"
This is the second in a series about products I bought and tried out on Sekaimon. the previous article I introduced about Sekaimon here . I wanted to get a camping tent for the summer (currently I only have a two-person mountain tent), so I decided to check out the Sekaimon website.

table of contents
I searched for the tent I wanted from 5,000 options
I didn't have a particular brand or specs in mind, so I just typed "camping" into the search box and got the following results
As if sensing my thoughts, a variety of camping gear appears in the search box. It's nice that it automatically displays even when I type in Japanese. Then, when I select "camping tent," it asks for more detailed information, as if to ask, "What kind of tent do you want?"
First, I thought a two-person tent would be fine, so I selected "2 person camping tent." The search results brought up over 5,000 results... a huge number. A quick look revealed a wide variety of prices and styles, so there was truly a wealth of options to choose from. I was intrigued and continued browsing the pages, wondering, "Who knew there were so many different types of tents overseas?"
However, I only had a vague idea that I wanted a camping tent that was cost-effective and easy to set up, so I didn't know what criteria to use to choose, and ended up looking for other gear. In the end, I OutdoorGearLab , to choose a highly rated model that is difficult to obtain in Japan.
If you have a specific budget, brand, shape, etc. in mind, you can specify these and then narrow down your search, making it easy to search through a large number of options
Returning to the main topic, I immediately decided to check if the model I had in mind was available on Sekaimon. I entered "Eureka Midori 6" into the search box and...there it was! "Eureka Midori 6"
The price was roughly what I wanted in Japanese yen. From here, I proceeded with the purchase process as normal
By the way, if you look at the breakdown of the product price, you will see the listed product, Sekaimon fee, US domestic shipping fee, insurance fee, US domestic sales tax, etc. Shipping fees vary depending on weight, so it's a good idea to check this as well
It was quite exciting to think that a tent would be shipped all the way from overseas. After about three weeks of waiting, the tent we wanted finally arrived

Detailed Review
The packaging arrived in perfect condition with no dents or tears
When you open it, it looks like this, and you'll be confronted with the instruction manual and warranty card
I took it out of the box. The tent fits perfectly in the box, so it took quite a bit of work to get it out of the box
Remove the outer bag and take out all the contents
I unpacked the contents. The pegs and poles are in their own bags. To be honest, I thought they would be in simple plastic bags, so I was surprised. This is a nice feature, as it makes it easier to organize the parts and reduces the chances of losing them
Let's unfold the inner tent. It's big, just as it is for six people!
I folded up the poles and connected them, then made two more and crossed them to hang the inner tent. It was so big that I couldn't do it alone, so I asked another person for help. In reality, it's unlikely that you'd set up a 6-person tent by yourself, so there's no need to worry about that
The illustrations in the instruction manual were a little hard to understand, but even though I'm a complete beginner at tent pitching, I was able to assemble it with a rough sense of intuition. This was also surprising, as I thought pitching a tent would be difficult
Let's put the fly sheet on. As you can see from the photo (left), the vestibule is spacious even from the outside
The flysheet is open. The vestibule is spacious
Now let's go inside the tent. I put my shoes in the vestibule. There is still plenty of space
The ceiling was high enough that I, who am 160cm tall, could actually stand and reach out, so even a man would be able to move around without having to bend over
This is ceiling storage. You can place items on this mesh sheet. The mesh sheet is large, so it's perfect for organizing small items
The storage space at each of the four corners (both ends) is also large
There is also ventilation for increased breathability
By the way, this is the view from inside to the outside. It's spacious, as it's designed for six people. The floor is designed like a bathtub to prevent rainwater from getting in
Concerns
Not suitable for winter
Although it's a double-walled tent, it's almost entirely mesh, so I think it's simply cold. It doesn't come with a ground sheet, so I recommend purchasing one. It might be a good idea to bring a tent mat, even in the summer
It's too small for six people to sleep
It's the perfect size for six people to sit, but it's undeniable that it feels cramped when it comes to sleeping. This is especially true if you use a sleeping bag. It feels spacious because of its height, but it feels like it can only sleep about four people
Summary: I want to use it as a tent for storytelling during the warm seasons of spring and autumn
I was a beginner at setting up tents and found the instructions difficult to understand, but because it's a hanging tent, I was able to assemble it by intuition without having to think too hard. It's also a tent that can be used perfectly in warm weather from spring to autumn. However, if you're camping in mountainous areas, you'll need to take precautions against the chill in the mornings and evenings
This tent is used for sleeping, but personally I think it would be perfect as a "storytelling space" where friends can gather and talk late into the night
When you first visit the Sekaimon website, you may be overwhelmed by the sheer number of products, but try using the search methods in this article to find the product you're looking for
