[A self-paying review without consideration] Heritage HI-REVO The cutting edge lightweight tent of a mountain tent in Japan, trained in Azumino.
Heritage is an outdoor gear manufacturer headquartered in Azumino, in the heart of Nagano Prefecture. We offer a wide range of products, from our main products, mountain tents, to Zelts, sleeping bag covers, outer shells, and poles. Once a prototype is created in-house, we develop our products in an ideal location and method, where we repeatedly test and improve the products in the mountains until we are satisfied. This time, I have actually used the lightweight double-wall tent made by Heritage at Shinetsu, a neighborhood in Azumino, and reviewed it.

What kind of tent is HI-REVO? ~Basic features~
The HI-REVO is the lightest single-season tent of any tent deployed by Heritage. The inner, fly poles and storage bags boast a double walled, lightweight, down to 1000g. However, due to its light weight, the indoor space and functionality have not been sacrificed much, and it is a Japanese tent built by the Japanese for the mountain scene.

HI-REVO Detailed Review
Lightweight set with everything you need
The contents are at least complete, with a main unit, rainfly, poles, and 8 pegs. The storage bag comes in three types: the main unit + rainfly, pole, and pegs. The weight of the 960g for the main body, rain fly, pole and each storage bag, and all of the weights including the pegs are 1083g (actually measured weight).

Storage can be divided into three parts: the main unit + rain, pole, and pegs.
The poles are made of two aluminum alloy (7001-T6). This pole is an ordinary aluminum alloy pole with the same original color. When folded it can be folded into 10 pieces and the storage size is 38cm. Two poles cost 288g and 293g including storage bag. There are eight pegs made from Geralumin (7075-T6). It has a simple and easy to use shape. The bags are troublesome, or rather, they're just the right size for eight of them, so you have to stack them properly, as shown in the photo to fit them in. The peg weight is 96.8g (12.1/piece) + 1.6g of storage bag = 98g. I wish the bag had a little more room in size.

The peg storage bags are just about the size of eight.
The fly is made of 15 denier nylon ripstop ultra-thin fabric, and is PU coated to waterproof processing, with a water pressure of 2000mm. Since it is coated with PU, you need to be careful when handling it after use and when storing it. The seams are treated with seam tape.

The back of the fly and the seams are made of solid seam tape for increased waterproofness.
The main fabric is a 15-denier nylon ripstop fabric with a water-repellent finish. The fabric is very thin, just like the fry, so it's very transparent. If you turn on the lights at night, you can be sure to see through even if you cover the fly, so be careful. The floor is made of 20D polyester ripstop fabric with a waterproof coating (water pressure resistance of 2000mm) using PU coating. It is made into 20D to increase durability. Polyester rather than nylon may be used as a material suitable for floors because it has a slightly lower absorbency.

The inner tent is made of extremely thin fabric, so you can see through the inside.
When it comes to weight, the actual measured weight of the same set was 985g, compared to the official weight of 960g (main body, fly, pole, storage bag). The overall weight including the pegs is 1,083g (main body: 349g, fry: 335g, pole: 287g, peg: 96g (12.1g x 8), main body storage bag: 8.5g, pole storage bag: 5.2g, peg storage bag: 1.6g).
With a lean setup method, you won't have to worry about whenever you set it up
Next, we will look at the features while setting up the building.
The pole is secured to the inner tent with a sleeve type, so first place it flat on the ground.

The pole is inserted from the left side towards the entrance, so check the inner tent and place it flat on the ground.
The sleeve entrance is fixed, only on the left side towards the entrance, and the two on the right are completely closed. Slide the pole from the left side to enter. The 7.5mm diameter pole made of aluminum alloy is flexible and pliable, but if placed straight it will become a bit clogged, so you need to pull the fabric in between to make it easier to move. Put both poles in and it will stand up completely independent.

Place the pole into the sleeve from the left side towards the entrance.
Once you've finished inserting the pole, pull the buckle on the sleeve entrance to adjust the tension.

The sleeve entrance where the pole is inserted has a mechanism to adjust the degree of beam.
This completes the inner tent mounting. There are fixed locations to put the poles, so it can be a bit troublesome in the dark, but you'll get used to it quickly once you set it up a few times.

The inner tent is made of the same nylon material except for the bottoms, so it is not highly breathable.
Next is the fries. It's very simple because you simply hook the hooks at the four corners of the fly onto the red loop at the inner tent corner.

To secure the inner tent and fly, simply hook the fly corner hook onto the red loop.
The tension of the fly can also be fine-tuned.

The tension of the fly can also be adjusted.
Careful considerations for increased comfort and detailed gimmicks scattered
The interior space is probably a reasonable place for a lightweight tent for a single person. Even if you place a full-size mat, there is still room to put your luggage, so it's enough. It is also reasonably tall at 100cm, so it doesn't feel like it's too small.

As a single-person tent, even if you have a lot of luggage, it doesn't feel cramped.
However, there are no pockets inside, and there is only a loop on the ceiling to attach the optional net. Even though it was to reduce the weight, I wanted some ingenuity.

The interior is very simple, with no pockets or decorations.
Speaking of indoor spaces, the floor does not pull each corner at points, but rather uses lines to increase the angle of the wall, making it difficult for your feet to hit.

The floor part is pulled with lines rather than points, so the fabric underfoot stands up and the interior feels a little wider.
The entrance can be kept open at all times by tied with Velcro for the fly and the inner tent with strings.

The entrance can also be kept open at all times.
From inside, the fly zipper and the inner tent zipper are color-coded, making it very easy to understand.

The inner tent is color coded red and the fly is yellow, making it easy to judge when opening it from inside.
The vestibule is small, so it may be a bit difficult to think about cooking in the rain.

The vestibule is not spacious, but you can place it on just shoes.
A structure that focuses on the height of ventilation
There are two mesh panels at the entrance to the inner tent. There is also a ventilation vent across from me.

There are two mesh panels at the entrance.
The mesh panel cannot be closed, but the ventilation vent across from you can be squeezed closed.

The vent on the other side of the entrance can be closed.
Photo The top of this mesh panel can be opened even when the fly is over it.

The mesh panel at the top of the entrance can be opened even if it is covered with a fly.
There are other ways to improve breathability. There are several slits on the sleeve that allows the pole to pass through. Of course, these slits are intended to be lighter, but they also seem to be intended to ensure that air circulates when the fly is over it.

The holes seen in pole sleeves are for lighter weight, but also for better ventilation.
The fly edge is higher from the ground, which is probably the result of lighter weight and breathability. However, the bottoms of the waterproof inner tent can only be low from the ground, so if heavy rain and strong winds combine to cause rain to get inside, making it likely to wet the inner tent. Even though it's just to reduce weight, it's likely that you'll be less worried if you either make the fly a little longer or stretch the bottom material a little higher.

The fly is slightly away from the ground.
Summary: Recommended for people like this
Lightweight is one of the factors that can't be replaced by anything. With various new technologies in this day and age, it is easy to maintain functionality while maintaining weight, or to maintain functionality while reducing weight. But if that happens, the price will go up. However, I can see this tent HI-REVO, which is why it is a tent that keeps the functionality and safety of the mountain tent itself to a minimum, achieving light weight despite being double walled. As a Japanese tent manufacturer, it follows the traditions of the past and is well-made as a mountain tent. On the other hand, compared to the same spec tents overseas, they have no more distinctive features and are mediocre. This is recommended for those who want the high level of security and good balance that is unique to Japanese-made products, but it may be a bit harsh to look for something more than that in this tent. If you have a good understanding of the advantages and disadvantages, it is a tent that can be used, including advantages. Since it is produced in Japan, it is also recommended that you use after-sales service such as repairs.
