Review: Teton Bros. PPP 1/2 Zip LS Tee

Good balance that can be used not only as summer wear but also as a base layer

Teton Bros. is a new outdoor wear manufacturer that was fascinated by the native nature of America and was established in Japan in 2008 with his friends in pursuit of truly excellent products to help them walk with nature. They are also actively introducing new functional materials, and have a reputation for their excellent products with innovative concepts, especially as they are the first award-winning jacket made using Polartec Neosell from the US company Polartec.

This PPP base layer also uses a new functional fabric called Polartec Power Grid, and I was amazed at how well it was perfect. We've also thoroughly tested it at Grand Teton National Park, which is the origin of its name, so we'll start a review right away!

We also recommend this article about base layers.

This is amazing!

High overall strength as a base layer

Avoid the heat and prevent it from getting too cold. The greatest strength of this clothing is that it responds to these conflicting issues in a balanced way. The secret is the new material, Polartec Power Grid. the documents , this new material is based on the Polartec Power Dry, which has excellent breathability, moisture absorption and quick-drying properties, and has also achieved a lattice pattern to enhance moisture absorption and diffusion performance, and also reduces overall weight. At the same time, it maintains a minimum heat retention capacity at a limited weight. Simply put, it lets the air through and quickly spreads sweat outside while you are on the move, so it's not too hot, and when it stops, the clothing is dry so it's smooth, and there's no cold sweat, and it also has moderate heat retention, so it doesn't feel too cold (of course, cold air can pass through in strong winds).

Smooth texture and fit

Another feature of this fabric is the patented "double knit structure" that uses different knit yarn on both sides. For this reason, the lining is not a grid-like, so that it quickly removes moisture from the skin, but has a smooth feel, allowing for a comfortable feel and heat retention . Furthermore, regarding patterning, the three-dimensional cutting that prevents shoulder rubbing and fits perfectly with the body lines reduces the strain on the body, making it extremely comfortable to wear.

This is not good

Slightly long sleeves and hem

I think this varies from person to person, but I was concerned that the sleeves and hem are made overall longer. I am a person with longer arms than average, so I think that the fact that it is still long is probably long. Incidentally, I (176cm tall) wear size M.

Summary: What kind of people do they recommend?

The clothing is very good with excellent temperature control, so it's not limited to midsummer and is completely fine. Rather, it is considered to be an excellent item that can be used widely as a base layer throughout three seasons If you are more conscious of using it as a base layer, you can also choose a long sleeve (no zipper version).

It is basically used as the first one so that it comes into direct contact with your skin, and as the temperature drops, you can put on a wind-resistant jacket, or in the case of low temperatures, wear a heat-insulating fleece, insulation, and down between the jacket, making it ideal for layering it in textbooks to maximize the effect. The silhouette and design are also nice, so it is recommended as a piece that is easy to use.
