Offline event in June 2025: "Let's start mountain stream fishing this year!"
■Date and time: Sunday, June 22nd
*Cancelled in case of rain If the event is cancelled due to weather or other reasons, we will notify you by email by 12:00 on the Friday before the event
■ Location: Undecided (expected to be in the Kanto region or at the farthest, the Joshinetsu region)
■Number of applicants: First 3 applicants *We have reached capacity and are now closed
■Participation fee:
Starting this time, participation will require joining the "Standard Plan" membership (minimum 1,000 yen/month)
Once you join, you can participate in any event that month for free, so we appreciate your consideration and cooperation
(If you are already a member, it is free. If you are not a member, please join by the day of the event. You can also join on the spot!)
The offline event in June is a mountain stream fishing experience project, which was also held around this time last year
If you want to try mountain stream fishing in a secluded headwater area, if you want to try (practice) mountain stream fishing with bait or tenkara fishing, or if you want to experience a refreshing mountain stream walk on a hot day, why not try mountain stream fishing, which is usually done alone and in silence, with some good friends every once in a while?
*Lure and fly fishing are outside of my area of expertise, so I can't teach you anything, but you are free to try them out
Of course, complete beginners are also welcome. Why not come and enjoy the experience of mountain stream fishing with others, while being taught by experienced anglers?
About the location
The location is still undecided at the moment, except that it will be in an area that can be reached in a day trip within 2-3 hours from Tokyo
However, since this is the rainy season, we would like to prioritize safety by choosing a location with a stable water level based on the rainfall up until the previous day
If more details or advance training is required, we are considering holding advance online meetings with those who have registered to provide such information
Regarding the equipment you need to prepare
Basically, we would like each participant to prepare the equipment necessary for a day trip to mountain stream fishing, i.e. the basic equipment for mountain stream climbing and fishing tackle
However, for those who have never tried mountain stream fishing and do not have any fishing equipment, we can lend you rods and tackle for tenkara and bait fishing
Please be aware in advance
Please note that this event is not a guided tour, so participants must participate at their own risk. Outdoor Gearzine will not be held responsible for any injuries, illnesses, or accidents that occur during the event
However, we will of course provide thorough support so that you don't get lost, so please don't worry about that
Please enter your participation using this application form
There are still some details to be decided, but if you are interested, please apply using the entry form below! It's first come, first served, so apply early!
*We have reached capacity and are now closed. Thank you for your many applications
Of course, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us
↓↓For any questions, please use the Outdoor Gearzine inquiry form↓↓
If you would like to try mountain stream fishing on this occasion,
Please feel free to join us!
Stay tuned for more announcements in the future!
Also, please take this opportunity to register for the "Outdoor Gearzine Membership"
Therefore, we are still accepting registrations for the "Outdoor Gearzine Membership." All support will be used to cover the costs of running these projects and events. Please think of it as crowdfunding for Outdoor Gearzine, and we appreciate your support
How do I sign up for Outdoor Gearzine Membership?
Outdoor Gearzine is a participant of OFUSE, a web service for supporting creators. The first way to support us is through the Outdoor Gearzine Membership (hereinafter referred to as Membership), which utilizes OFUSE's monthly membership function
With Membership, we don't just want you to support us; we want to provide our supporters with new content and services that are unique to Outdoor Gearzine, allowing them to enjoy the outdoors even more than ever before
*To use OFUSE, you must first register a new account (Sozi ID). Please follow the instructions to create an account and then join the membership
There are two types of membership: "Light Plan" and "Standard Plan"
is available Light Plan that provides only operational support and access to exclusive content Standard Plan that also provides free participation in various events, including offline events
Various events are planned to be held at least once a month from now on, and in addition to talk events like those held last year, we are considering inviting lecturers to hold workshops, study sessions, screenings, etc. We also plan to provide online live streaming and archived content for those who are too far away to travel or who were unable to attend on the day, so we would appreciate support from people all over the country
In addition to these offline events in Tokyo, we also plan to hold meetup events for camping, hiking, running, and other outdoor activities about once a month. We would like to decide how to proceed together with the members who have actually joined us in the future
[Outdoor Gearzine Membership] May Schedule
The first offline event in September: "Walking along the source of a river, fishing, having a bonfire, and staying overnight" [The joy of mountain stream walking]
