The first offline event in September: "Walking, fishing, bonfire, and staying at the source" [The real joy of walking around the mountain stream]

There will be two offline events in September 2025!

The offline event for Outdoor Gearzine membership will be closed in August, so I think everyone will have their own holidays and trips.

Instead, we would like to hold the event twice in the first and second half of September!

First, let's take a look at the first event, "Over Overseas Mountain Stream Fishing"!

Offline event in September 2025: "A journey of walking, fishing, campfires, and staying overnight"

■Date and time: September 6th and 7th (Saturday and Sunday)

*If rain or flooding is expected, the event will be cancelled. If the event is cancelled due to weather or due to this reason, we will notify you by email by 12:00 on the Friday, just before the event.

■Location: TBD

*We have not yet decided due to weather conditions, but it will be somewhere in Saitama, Yamanashi, Gunma, Tochigi, or Niigata prefectures. In terms of the level of climbing the stream, we expect a beginner to intermediate stream (around 2nd grade) where there is no shortage of direct climbing or high-pitched waterfalls, but there is no need to secure a rope.

Please be aware that it may be difficult for people living in Tokai or Western Japan to approach the site.

■Number of applicants: First come, 4 people (The closing date will be the first of those who submit using the application form)

■The minimum experience you should seek when participating:

Experience staying in a tent, climbing a stream or fishing from the source

*Experience walking through streams in mountain stream shoes

■Participation fee:

You must join the Standard Plan membership (1,000 yen/month) by the day of the event.

Once you join, you can join that month's event free of charge no matter how many times you participate, so please take advantage of it.

(Free for those who have already joined. If you are not a member, please join by the day.

The offline event in September will finally be the most fun and premium event of the mountain stream fishing experience, and we will be running one night plan that involves stream fishing and camping in the stream.

We take a stream climb to enjoy the mysterious and deep nature of raw, incompetent nature, mountain stream fishing, where you can experience the pure joy of "catching fish," and a freshly caught treat along with a bonfire, and enjoy the night at your leisure under the sky. Why not join us on this stream trip, where all the fun of the outdoors is condensed?

Due to the nature of the content, this event is by no means for beginners.

The participants who are planning to do so are " I like fishing for mountain streams and have done it on a day trip, but I've never done it before staying there ."

, it would be a little tough for people who are " first time climbing a stream, fishing, camping in a tent," as they are all experiences

Also, even those who say, " I've had experience staying in a tent, but have never been to walk in a stream or fish in a stream ," are quite a high hurdle in terms of making their debut as a stream climber with tents on their backs.

In any case, if you are interested but are a little unsure, feel free to contact us.

About the location

The location is currently undecided, but I think it will be somewhere in Saitama, Yamanashi, Gunma, Tochigi, or Niigata, where I know my own personalities. We would like to choose a location where the water volume is stable based on the rainfall situation up to the previous day and put safety first, so we will consult with you as soon as the members are confirmed.

If details or pre-study are required, we are considering giving lectures in advance online meetings with those who have entered.

Equipment to be prepared

Basically, we would like each person to prepare the equipment necessary for stream fishing and camping. Basic equipment for climbing a stream (including harnesses and helmets) and fishing equipment.

However, fishing equipment, rigging equipment, stream climbing equipment, and camping equipment can be rented through Outdoor Gearzine (except those with sizes), so if you absolutely cannot find the equipment, please feel free to contact us.

Be careful in advance

Please note that this event is different from a guided tour, so participants are generally responsible for participating in this event. Outdoor Gearzine will not be liable for any injuries, illnesses, accidents, etc. that are participating.

However, of course, you will be able to provide solid support to avoid hesitation, so don't worry about this.

How do I sign up for Outdoor Gearzine membership?

Outdoor Gearzine is participating in "OFUSE," a web service that supports creators. The first method of support is Outdoor Gearzine membership (hereinafter referred to as membership) that utilizes OFUSE's "monthly membership feature."

At "Membership," we would rather provide new content and services unique to Outdoor Gearzine, which will allow those who support us to enjoy the outdoors more than ever before.

*To use "OFUSE", you must first register a new account (Sozi ID). We apologize for the inconvenience, but please follow the instructions to create an account before joining the membership.

There are two types of memberships: "Light Plan" and "Standard Plan."

Memberships currently offer a Light Plan Standard Plan that allows you to participate in various events such as offline events for free

Various events are scheduled to be held at least once a month, and in addition to the talk events that we had held last year, we are also considering workshops, study sessions, and screenings with instructors. Furthermore, for those who are too far away to travel, or those who were unable to participate because they were unable to make the event on the day, we plan to provide live streaming online and archival content, so we would appreciate your support from people all over the country.

In addition to these offline events in Tokyo, we also plan to hold meetup events for camping, hiking, running, and other outdoor activities about once a month. We will decide how we will proceed in the future with the members who have actually become members.
