[OGZ's Yamato Town Exploration, Vol. 05] Tochigi Kaemon Town Edition - Do you know about the mountain called Kawarakidake? [Revised Edition]

Now, from the previous Gunma arc, the setting will move to Tochigi.

This is the second day of the expedition's one-night, two-day interview.

We have arrived in Kaemoncho in Tochigi City.

You will be out onto the main street from several free parking spots, both sides of which are the faces of Kaemon Town.

I continued from the image above and found it to my left and it was my first visit to the second day!

But I arrived a little early so I was still not open yet (lol)

I'll leave my room for a while so I'll take a little stroll around Tochigi city until the store opens.

First, we went to the guidance centre, just next to the destination we visited.

This facility was renovated after part of the miso factory, just as written in the image.

You can get a feel for the tourist guide and the history of Kaemon Town.

A splendid portable shrine? It is also decorated.

Now we left the guidance center and for a moment we left Kaemoncho to head towards the center of Tochigi city.

Hydrangeas are still beginning to bloom when we visited, and Tochigi City is home to Mt. Taihei, which is famous for its hydrangeas.

From near the middle of Mt. Taihei.

I like to do small traverses starting from this mountain.

There is a parking lot and souvenir shops lined up just in the middle of the slopes, so you can even get there by car.

It's just a good place to go sightseeing or take a traverse from here.

View from Kenshinpei P near the middle

The view from the parking lot is also great, so you can enjoy it anytime from the fresh green season to the autumn leaves.

This area has a mix of traditional emotion and modern atmosphere, similar to Kawagoe in Saitama.

Just a little bit of a back alley gives it a great taste.

If you continue on, you may find that there are many fine temples and shrines.

It's quite a history.

As I continued on, I came to Shinmei Shrine, known as Ise-sama in Tochigi.

This seems to have deep history, and I won't go into it as it will be out of the box with the main text (lol)

The pond on the premises is also magnificent, so I'll go back because it's about time.

If you seriously try walking around Tochigi City, a day isn't enough, so if you're interested, why not visit?

The Tomba River flows through the city of Tochigi City, in a sense, may be a symbol.

Follow this flow north and return to Kaemoncho.

I've returned.

Yes, it's already past opening hours this time, so let's go in!

So my first visit to Tochigi was Kawarakidake, an up-and-coming outdoor shop that suddenly appeared in the blank area of this outdoor shop!

And on the grounds there is a ramen restaurant next door.

This is also a very popular restaurant, and there are always lines on holidays, so I've never received it yet, but I'd like to try it out someday.

And this ambiguous feeling that makes it difficult to understand where each other's facilities creates a nice atmosphere.

Now, this time we're entering the store, we'll be waiting for a little bit of outdoor products! By the way, the product lineup is fluid and is from the time of interviews, so I hope you can see it as an atmosphere.

With a mix of garage and measure mixed in with a lot of miscellaneous things, what? There are also items like this.

The display corner features a rough summary of the genres, which is easy to understand and nice.

There will also be products from TMR and Raysmore, which will be featured in future episodes in the Cooker section. Both are very popular right now.

The lineup is rather twisted, but we also carry some serious, straightforward Fine Track products.

It's also nice that the lineup of ICCI products with tile motifs is typical of Kawara Kidake.

In any case, there are products everywhere, like hidden items in some places, so you can enjoy a little treasure hunt.

If you search carefully, you might come across an unexpected bargain.

Let's look forward to Kojima Shiro, the owner of Kawara Kidake, who is full of the interior of this shop.

I'll ask you what you're interested in.

Q. How did the store start at that location?

A. His father, who loves mountain climbing, took him to the Alps and other places from a young age, and he was forced to abduct him (taken away) during adolescence, and he hated the mountains in the Bali route of the Bali route, but he hated him so much.

I was in my late 20s when I was a little tired from working hard (everyone else is there).

Oze suddenly decided to go to her (later married), and for some reason she had fun so she resumed the mountains.

After that, he became interested in UL Gear and one day he worked as a graphic design work while working at a mountain tool shop.

It started when I thought it would be fun if I could do it.

When I actually started, it wasn't such a sweet thing, and I still had a series of trial and error every day since I opened!

Q2. What is the current concept of the store?

A. It's not just simple lightness, it's fun. I love fashion from beginners to beginners

Those who start hiking and those who want to make it crisp and lighter and move forward even 1m can laugh.

I'm aiming for space.

Q3. Where will Kawara Kidake head from now on?

A. I'm always thinking about original products and fun events, so if you could check out Instagram etc.

I'm happy. You just have to keep the store with your originality and independent spirit.

So, Kojima is constantly fighting every day to evolve Kawara Kidake.

How did you like Kawara Kidake? It's a small store, but it's full of charm.

Kawara Kidake is actively involved in collaborations, events, pop-ups, etc.

I visited later on by Mita, who is well-known for his mountains and roads, and friends with Kawara Kitake.

A joint pop-up with PEDESTRI , a garage brand that has been released

I went in and it was amazing.

This heat! I think it's amazing that it can produce such a great deal of heat.

It's also amazing that this place has never had an outdoor shop before, and it's very moving.

I will continue to visit personally, after climbing the mountains in this area, I will be taking a little time to go to Tochigi city's city bra.

But when I came to Tochigi City, I had a little more fun.

and! On September 8th, 2024, there will be a market that is not just for hikers, by hikers, originating from Kawara Kidake.

Temple Market will be held.

I have never visited this before so personally I would like to visit.

I want to go and feel the new breeze of Kaemon Town.

I went to Temple Market.

This usually quiet approach!

It seems to be this bustling, and many people visited and it was very popular.

A combination of the latest garage brand items, outdoor celebrities' personal items, flea markets, music, and food and drink.

There's no reason why it won't get excited! I can't wait for the next event.

Now we leave Kawara Kitake and head to the rumored shop that opened on the same day of the interview!
