[OGZ's Yamato Town Exploration Story Vol. 04] Kiryu Edition: New Life! A long-established revival bathhouse in Umeda Hometown Center [Ichinoyu]
Last time I walked the north side of Kiryu city centre.
Previous visit
This time, I returned to the Umeda area where Tanaka Shoten is located, and was once again in the face of Umeda, a little further back in the shop.
Let's aim for a place that is becoming more and more.
It took about 15 minutes to drive through Tanaka Shoten on Prefectural Route 66, which stretches out from Kiryu town.
Along the way is the Umeda Hometown Center, and this is the Umeda area that we will introduce today.
It's the deepest, of course there are many things to do in the deeper as well.
It appears that this is also an event held outside the store, so I'll take a look later.
From the entrance, it looks like the interior of the store is the same atmosphere as the roadside station or direct sales outlet.
Souvenirs are lined up along with the closet.
A sake bun is a bit of a concern.
Among them, outdoor equipment was also a little different to other places around here.
It gives off an atmosphere, but why?
We also have products from Plylet, which we visited two times before.
The reason why there are outdoor equipment in this place is... in fact, it's because the Hometown Center has been reborn.
The merchandise management department was apparently entrusted to Tanaka Shoten.
please come to Kainose Saki and vice-director of Umeda Hometown Center
From her appearance, she is a landlady! I feel like I want to call you that.

Comment from Deputy Director Kainose Saki
Umeda Hometown Center (Umeda-cho, Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture) has changed operations from April 6, 2024 and has been reopened as a three-party joint venture between Career Japan Co., Ltd., Value Forest, and Tanaka Shoten.
Tanaka Shoten is in charge of the merchandise sales section. This facility is located in the mountains of Kiryu City and is rich in nature.
There is a trailhead at Nemotoyama nearby, and the Kiryu River that runs along the facility, many people enjoy playing in the river in the summer.
has often been used to relax and enjoy shopping for local residents, or
Furthermore, there was little information on the area around the facility, so tourist information was not available.
When I'm in charge of the merchandise sales section, I'm focusing on "mainly placing local products" and "places something that suits this place, which is filled with nature."
Furthermore, we also offer events such as experiences that take advantage of the nearby nature.
This is because we want to provide local products as a memory of this place to our guests, and we want our customers who visit us in search of nature to learn more about the nature of this place and to visit again.
It is also a place for locals to shop, so it is difficult to fit everything there is, but we choose products to ensure that the facilities fit in with the natural environment.
Some customers who visit our facility can pass through Kiryu city, but many of them visit the facility from the neighboring Tochigi prefecture, across the mountains to visit our facility.
Our future goal is to provide tourist information so that customers who use our facility can become interested in Kiryu City and travel around town, so that people can travel from the mountains to the city.
In addition, in order to attract people from the city to the mountains, we have expanded our products in the merchandise section, as well as a wide range of tourist information that gives you a sense of the nature of the Umeda area, and we have also expanded our facilities and facilities.
We hope that many people will learn about the charms of Umeda Town.
I believe that he is filled with passion and a quiet resolve to sincerely face the future of the Hometown Center.
We will continue to support you from behind the scenes.
Now head to the event space outside the Hometown Center.
I see, it looks like a pop-up shop at a knife shop.
There are a lineup of rough and cool products, so you'll want one.
This shop is called the Original Matsunaga Seisakusho, and its head office is located in Annaka City, Gunma Prefecture, and it is said that it opens once a month at the Hometown Center in conjunction with the events held in various places on the first Saturday of Kiryu.
It seems that the pop-ups themselves are also actively working in a wide range of activities, opening stores.

Let's buy a product that interests you a little and return to the campsite where we stayed today.
After returning to the Tanaka Shoten Campsite, taking a break, I head back to the town of Kiryu and try to sweat at the public bath this time.
The campsite, which is currently pre-opened, is only equipped with portable toilets and simple water supply.
It may be more powerful in preparation for the official opening.
The weather is still there, but the rain forecast is forecast at night, so I head straight to the public bath.
I'm back again.
This is Ichinoyu, located on the north side of Kiryu town.
I wonder how I found out about this place, and it was introduced by chance when I was watching it and got off the train, saying that it has recently revived a public bath that has been around for a long time. That's what you're curious about!
If that coincided with the opportunity to rent the Tanaka Shoten Campsite this time, I would have no choice but to go there.
No, this... I can't get enough.
It's a dazzling THE public bath, so I have to say that it's fine for this kind of thing.
There are regular types, but the stationary shower was the best.
No matter where you look, you can only taste it, it's wonderful.
Even a basket was like this in the past.
It is said that there are also saunas in front of the station, and the name is Ninosa!
It's rare to do it with firewood in a sauna around town.
We also sell small items that interest you.
Yes I bought an original towel (lol) This is what I like.
And it was interesting to meet a variety of people, not the owner, but the lady from Komugi, a bagel shop that is very popular in Kiryu, who acts as a train station, which was interesting.

As an aside, I visited Komugi to buy a bagel later...
Even during business hours, the store was sold out and closed, and we were unable to make it in time. It's a really popular store!
It seems like it's fine if it's perfect for lunch, so I'd like to try again.

Returning to the exploration report, the public bath is the best! After returning to the campsite, it started raining and I stopped.
There are a lot of things I wanted to do outside the tent.
The rain stopped in the morning and it seems like it can be cooked outside, and the Tanaka Shoten Campsite is drained.
At best, it was comfortable even in a floorless shelter.
I'll grill chicken that I actually wanted to bake at night.
It has a flavor so it's delicious just to grill it, and you can also grill the wiener to make your stomach.
After dinner, I had some time to spare, so I enjoyed the bonfire, which I couldn't do at night.
Using conifers in the morning will burn out quickly and turn into ashes, making it easy to remove after-processing.
Incidentally, this bonfire stand is called a CGK wood stove, and is made of a flush stainless steel.
It's a bonfire stand that's extremely efficient to burn just by assembling it, making it easy to use.
It's light and compact, and the A4 size makes it easy to store.
Since it's only heavy (about 1 kg), it depends on how you view that, and there are many other products.
With the sun showing its face a little, I'm leaving Kiryu town.
What did you think? The Kiryu version is a place filled with many charms, with Yamatomachi close to it.
We hope you will enjoy visiting after seeing your exploration.
Now, let's drive eastward, so look forward to the next Tochigi version!
