Can you die without walking? Journey to the American National Park (25) Mt. Shasta's Jewels - Headwaters of the sacramento river and Spring Hill Trail Edition

Continuing from my previous post, we would like to introduce you to the Spring Hill Trail hiking trail, where Shasta's gem spots are located, where sacred water can be fed, Headwaters of the sacramento river, the source of the Sacramento River, and the spectacular views that begin right next to it.

Sacramento River Headwater is the source of the Sacramento River.

It is famous for its location where you can collect and drink natural water from Shasta.

Many people from all over the country come to collect water in search of this clear water, not just locally, but also from all over the country. Some people call it "holy water."

The underground springs flow into the river through caves created by past eruptions called mule tubes. The water here is known for its deliciousness, and not only locals, but also people from afar come and take their time to come to pick it up by car.

There is data that the water we drink at Shasta has actually been filtered over 6,800 years and continues to this day, and this is especially true in research results from Crystal Geiser, which bottles Shasta water.

Rainwater and melted snowwater permeate the ground, filtered over the years, and is said to flow to the ground, containing rock minerals.

It is said that the water that flows during this process is almost free of nitrite nitrogen (nitrite), and is also said to be good water that allows oxygen to flow throughout the body.

Address: 057-791-110, Mt Shasta, CA 96067 Mount Shasta City Park

It is within 5 minutes' drive from the city centre. Of course it's free. A place where you can easily feel the blessings of nature. There is also a park right next to it, and on holidays, people enjoy their time here, lying down, and playing with the dog.

Behind the hot spring is a path called Fair Trail that allows you to walk along the river, so it's a good idea to walk while walking.

We'll also introduce another hiking trail that allows you to walk while looking at the beautiful Shasta.

A small mountain standing right behind the Sacramento River Head Water area! Spring Hill Trail (trail trailhead is a short drive from Sacramento River Head Water).

Spring Hill Trail (4km)

  • Location 41.3288 -122.322, Mt Shasta, CA 96067
  • Trail entrance elevation 939m
  • 200m

There is a 4km round trip so you will have to walk steadily, but it is a spectacular sight.

This trail is easy to get to from the city and is easy to get to even in winter or early spring when snow is still in the mountains. Shasta looks beautiful too. It's a hiking trail that's easy to get to.

Notes regarding the spread of COVID-19

As of September 2021, various countries are likely to experience a variety of situations, including entry restrictions due to the strengthening of quarantine systems, restrictions on admission to national parks, and restrictions on travel within the country. These conditions may change without notice, so when traveling, be sure to obtain local information such as embassies and consulates of each country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' overseas safety website (infectious disease risk information) and national park websites, and check the information about the transfer location, the countries where you plan to travel, and the area around the destinations you plan to visit before making any effort to plan and take reasonable steps.
