As each brand prepares new products for autumn and winter, we visited an exhibition of mont-bell, Japan's leading outdoor brand!

This is the lightest model in Montbell's Alpine Jacket lineup, and is made from highly waterproof and breathable fabric, yet stretchy, making it a jacket that is useful in active activities such as climbing snowy mountains and climbing.

It weighs approximately 385g and is highly waterproof and breathable, so it can be used during snow-free seasons.

The "EX Light Thermal Wrap" series is ultra-thin active insulation.

This active insulation is made from Montbell's original padding material called "Exeloft®" that is thin but has excellent heat retention and stretchability, making it an active insulation that keeps your body cool.

When I actually put it on, it has a very stretchy feel, so even if you raise your arms, it doesn't hinder your actions, and although it is super thin, I felt it had a solid heat retention.

I was surprised at how stretchy it was and how flexible it felt, but the most surprising was the lightness and compactness.

It is extremely portable, easy to carry, and has a simple design, making it suitable not only for outdoor activities but also for use in town.

When stored, it is about a 500ml plastic bottle.

In addition to a hooded hoodie and a fully zip jacket, there is also a vest. The EX Light Thermallap series can be used as an intermediate wear during the harsh winter season, and can be used as an outerwear from spring to autumn all year round.

Powder zip mittens, a mitton glove with excellent practicality and heat retention.

With smartphones becoming more popular, anyone can easily take photos of the spectacular views, but there are probably many people who are stressed out when operating a smartphone (or camera) while wearing gloves (I am one of them).

The Zip Mittens series is something that people like that should definitely try.

When you open the waterproof zipper attached to the part that hits the back of your hand, your hand will come out! This means you don't have to go out of your way to take photos and the stress of taking photos while you're on the move will dramatically reduce the stress of taking photos.

Eliminating the need to remove the gloves means that you won't have to worry about them losing them or falling and snow getting inside them.

The powder zip mittens are made of Drytech® fabric, highly waterproof and breathable, stretchy, and excellent heat retention, with Excelloft® padding for perfect heat retention.

When I actually used it, the waterproof zipper was opened and closed smoothly with the gloves on, making it easy to operate.

R value 2.3! "Foam Pad 25" thick closed cell mat that is not possible in winter

The author is very motivated to sleep comfortably in the mountains. I often use closed-cell mats when I sleep, but in winter I don't feel like wearing one piece, so I use double-layered mats to prevent this.

The Foam Pad 25 is perfect for those who want a little higher insulation.

It is 2.5cm thick and has better insulation than traditional mats (foam pad 16).

General closed cell mats have a high "R value" indicating high insulation, but most mats are about 2, but the R value of foam pad 25 is 2.3, which is more insulating than other mats, making them useful when used in low temperature environments.

Thickness also contributes to comfort. Compared to thin mats, this mat has a higher cushioning effect, making it an attractive mat for those who want to prioritize comfort.

Light crampons "chain spikes" and "compact snow spikes" are lighter than snow gear

It varies depending on the size, but is 38g to 89g lighter than traditional chain spikes.
