Joint pop-up at TMR's shop opening ceremony!
The up-and-coming garage brands LEISMOR and noicoyamaico were in attendance
Let's start with LEISMOR
Speaking of LEISMOR, the Ghost Band is a classic and popular item from LEISMOR
This heat-resistant band can be attached to a no-handle cooker so that it can be held in your hand when using it to boil water, etc. It is available in various sizes and is a glow-in-the-dark type
It also works perfectly with TMR cookware. You can check the currently compatible cookware on the LEISMOR website
And at the time of this interview, this was becoming a new standard and was rapidly gaining popularity: the bottle upgrade kit!
This kit literally upgrades plastic bottles, which are thought to have a certain level of popularity as water bottles
Also from Photo & Market
The first time I saw it was at the Photo & Market event, and although it was only on display at the time, I was thrilled, and when it went on sale at the next event, I immediately bought it
As an aside, the only difference between the initial batch and the current one is the packaging, which is a pleasant surprise for me as a gear enthusiast (lol)
This is basically designed to fit Pocari Sweat 900ml bottles, and if you use it as a full kit, this combination will inevitably be the case, but if you don't use labels with markings, it should be possible to use it with most PET bottles as long as the cap screw fits
I don't really care about remaining storage space, so I'm currently using the combination that works for me
What's great about this cap is that it has a one-way valve, so water won't come out just by tilting it
This means that the amount of water that comes out is equal to the amount of pressure you apply to the side of the bottle. At first, you may need to get used to this feature, but you will soon get used to it as you use it
The best thing about this design is that you can drink without touching the bottle itself!
This is a very powerful tool in terms of hygiene, and it is great that you don't have to be as fussy about storing water when hiking for more than one night
Even if you open the cap and hold it directly down, the liquid won't come out unless you press it, so you can reduce accidental spills
Now, let's talk to Wanko from LEISMOR. She is still embarrassed to show her face on the web, so she appears with a photo of her lower face
Q: What was the concept behind launching the brand?
A. Less is more. This phrase expresses the "aesthetics of subtraction" of narrowing down to only what is necessary when there is an abundance of things, and the "consciousness of having an elite few" of selecting only what is important
LEISMOR is a contraction of these words and develops unique travel items that pursue a balance of minimalist design, lightweight design, and performance
Q: Is there anything you would like to say to users?
A: Using lightweight, compact tools allows you to travel farther, in less time, and more safely. Furthermore, reducing the number of tools you own not only allows you to live surrounded by only the things you truly love, but also makes your own life lighter
For example, the LEISMOR logo, which was first created when the brand was launched, incorporates the motif of dry landscape gardens
Karesansui is the pinnacle of minimalism, where unnecessary decoration is eliminated to the maximum extent possible, and the garden is created simply by placing stones on white sand
The number of lines in the letters has been reduced to the bare minimum so that the typeface can still be read, and the logo is designed to subtly exude the LEISMOR concept
My favorite style of travel is to hike upstream along a riverside trail, float down the river in a packraft, find a good riverside location to camp there, and then float down the river again the next day
It would be wonderful if we could share in the moments when these various outdoor experiences seamlessly connect by using LEISMOR gear
Q: What's your current recommendation?
A: My current recommendation is the "Bottle Upgrade Kit" (laughs)
The "Bottle Upgrade Kit" is currently being developed in a different size, 500ml, so stay tuned!

Next up is noicoyamaico
Noico's signature work is this lightweight table, the noicoyamaico basic & mini series
There are a huge variety of variations, from an all-plastic board + half top board made of different metals to the carbon top board + α shown in the image, so it's hard to decide which one to buy
It folds in half for a compact size, weighs only 64-125g, and is very lightweight. It can withstand a load of 3-4kg depending on the size, which is more than enough for most people
The carbon fiber version comes in half-hole and double-sided hollowed-out versions, which not only saves weight but also looks cool! Personally, I like the asymmetrical half-hole version
As stated on the official website, this is a dish that will make you "want to put an end to the heat a little."
This is a helpful item to avoid the heat that can be felt when holding a cooktop or other appliance. When used in conjunction with the LEISMOR Ghost Band, it provides even more heat protection, which is a great idea. I'll definitely buy one next time
Surely there are times when you just want to avoid the heat a little!
Ueshima of noicoyamaico is energetically releasing such lovely and stylish items
I'll ask you another question that I'm curious about
Q: Please tell us about the origins of the brand
A: Mountain climbing and camping have always been my hobbies, and I especially love buying lightweight, compact gear and trying it out in the field
For a while I was satisfied with just that, but as I continued to use it I started to think "I wish this part was more like this", so I started making my own custom parts
Furthermore, perhaps it was a curse that his main job was manufacturing, but he eventually began designing and making his own gears from scratch
When I posted about it on Instagram, a few people said they wanted it, so I thought, "Okay, let's make it!" and that's how I started the brand
I guess that's probably true for all garage creators!
I have always carried that spirit with me, and I only make things that are not currently available on the market and that I want
So most of them are niche products... and since the target audience is me, development is very easy (laughs)
Q: Who is your current favorite?
A: My current favorite gear is the main product, the table, and my top pick is the recently released (at the time of this interview) noicoyamaico mini carbo2 lite!
https://noicoyamaico.base.shop/items/87189925
It's reasonably light at just 85g, and thanks to the carbon top you can use it directly with an alcohol stove or similar without any problems. It can be folded in half vertically to make it compact, and its magnetic mechanism means it can be assembled and disassembled in an instant!
Although it may not be as good as the Masterpiece Field Hopper, I'm confident that it will rank among the best in the heat-resistant table assembly time championship under 100g. Since it doesn't have any inserts and doesn't require much force, you can use it even while wearing gloves in the mountains in winter
Q: Will there be any new releases? (At the time of the interview)
A: I really love TMR's WRCooker, but it didn't have a lid... so I finally made one myself. I used machined aluminum so that it would match the texture of the cooker body
I've never heard of anyone making just the lid out of machined aluminum (lol)
Furthermore, the handle can be removed with a magnet, so it can also be used as a small plate on a daily basis
That's right... He loves it so much that he even called it an outrageous move, and so he came up with a lid for the WRCooker. His passion is incredible, and I want to follow his example
I asked him about the development process in brief
・Without a lid, boiling efficiency would be hindered, so I made one myself
・I came up with the ideal lid I wanted and I really wanted to make it ↓
・I wanted to get permission from TMR, so I consulted with them during the planning stage
・Released with kind permission!
Futa, also known as noicoyamaico Futaplate, is a man of great passion, and he speaks so passionately about it that I hope you will feel his passion here
