[Purchases list] Thinking about the best choices for summer mountain climbing equipment [Updated regularly]

This site provides the latest comparisons and reviews of the outdoor gear (tools and equipment) that are all over the world, but this page will compile these gear reviews and create the latest and ideal gear list. There are many different ways to climb mountains, so we'll start off with a day hike in the summer mountains. This gear list will be a checklist of items to carry in packing, which are unfamiliar to new climbers, and for travelers, we hope that this will serve as a fuel for fantasizing about their own unique dream equipment table.

There are many gears on this site that have not yet been comparative reviews, so we will update them as soon as they are completed. If new and attractive items are released, of course, they will be updated again, so this page will forever be unfinished. Please note that for categories that have not yet been compared and reviewed, the editorial department is currently making full use of their fantasies of wanting it.

Just to be safe, this list of belongings and each choice is based solely on the views of the editorial department. We cannot guarantee any guarantees regarding the completeness, accuracy or safety of the contents of the information posted, so please make your own judgment in the end.

In addition, the ideal gearlist, "Winter Low Mountain Day Hiking Edition" is featured on this page!

Creating your ideal gear list

Although it's just a matter of what you bring to do when climbing, there are many different things to pack depending on the season, region, and type of activity. Here we will focus on the typical type of mountain paths that have been maintained somewhat during the snowless season in Honshu (after the rainy season until September) where you can walk for a few nights by walking on a mountain hut. I will be compiling my tents, climbing streams, and climbing rocks on another page someday.

We have chosen the items to bring in based on the following two criteria for each category:

  • Best... Choice if you choose one without considering the price. I want it someday.
  •  Reasonable... It's a great choice while keeping costs down. Start with this.

The "wear" you'll always bring with you

Shirt (Innerwear)

I think T-shirts are good, but I personally recommend the long sleeves and zip-ups, which allow less skin exposure and more temperature control. Of course, T-shirts are OK depending on the time and location, but don't forget to take measures to protect yourself from the wind and cold.

Rain gear (and outerwear)

As long as you stay at a hut in a summer mountain, we recommend ultra-lightweight rainwear, which is fairly waterproof, lightweight and comfortable. *Most rainwear is currently sold separately on top and bottom, but it's pointless to not have a top and bottom set on the mountain, so be sure to have rainwear pants as well.

Trekking pants

I don't think it's very good to walk in the mountains in many ways, so I chose the long type here. However, I also have preferences, so I think that a wide range of versatile long and short convertibles and short pants are all OK.

I think there are more suitable items if they are limited to the Alps or rocky courses, but I chose the best model, which is more versatile.

"Wear Edition" to bring according to the situation (preferences)

Middle layer (and outerwear)

It's not worth wearing winter clothing, but it's windproof, breathable, and water-repellent, and can be worn if a single thin shirt is a little unsatisfied while you're on the move.

Short sleeves (T-shirt)

Long sleeves are more versatile, but none of the best T-shirts are suitable for the most breathable behavioural wear in the middle of summer. Once you wear an outdoor T-shirt made from a sweat-absorbent and quick-drying fabric, you won't be able to let go. Of course, 100% cotton is not allowed.

This is a must for me, as I tend to go to hot springs after descending the mountain. The towel is quick-drying type with loops on the edges so that you can quickly wipe off sweat that flows like a waterfall.

Replacement battery (mobile battery)

In the unlikely event of an emergency, I will bring replacement batteries for my headlamp and other electronic devices. If you're greedy, you'll also get a replacement light bulb. Also, if you rely on smartphone apps for maps and other things, a mobile battery is a must.

medicine

Prepare for any accidental injuries such as cuts, scuffs, insect bites, sprains, etc. The first aid kit is explained here.

Writer Match

Of course, if you are expecting to use firearms, you don't want to think about it too much, but if you have to spend the night, it's necessary to set up a fire.

Mobile phones and smartphones

Recently, there are many useful apps available, so there are more and more situations where you can use them. Also, depending on your career, you may be connected on the edge, so in the unlikely event that you could be contacted and helped.

Roll paper

Appropriate amount of toilet paper. It can be used in the toilet and wiped dishes.

Behavioral eating

Bring as much as you need, such as lunch for mountain hiking and rations (snack foods such as salt and sugar). In the mountains, it is best to get detailed food every few minutes of rest, so it's best to divide them into small portions.

Emergency food

In my case, I always have my calorie mate in a pack of one box.

Plastic bag

There is a considerable amount of time you will need a bag for garbage bags or wet clothes, so it can be used in a variety of ways.

Spare shoelaces (slim)

As a precaution in case your shoelaces break. In my case, I always put a 3mm x 10m thin drawer at the bottom of the pack instead of shoelaces. This makes it more versatile and can be used in a variety of other situations when the shoelaces are broken, when there is not enough tension rope in a tent or tarp.

clock

You can usually check it on your smartphone, but you should definitely have some kind of watch so that you can check it even in the unlikely event. Models with barometers and altimeters are very convenient.

Dust tape

The material is fabric. Dumpling tape, which can be used as a cover for repairs, as a replacement for bandages, as well as a lid after opening bags such as ingredients, and also as a bonfire fire fire fire fire fires in an emergency.

"Tools" to bring according to the situation (preferences)

Trekking pole

It's not a necessary gear, but it's very easy to have. The best choice is just as light and I've been using it for now so it doesn't seem to be a problem with the strength, so I'll go with it here.

Cooker

Of course, if you are bringing food that can be eaten with tableware, you can also keep it on hand for emergency evacuation. Titanium has poor thermal conductivity, so you need to be careful about the strength of the fire, but the EPI ATS titanium cucker is made by spraying aluminum into the bottom to improve the thermal conductivity, making it lighter and easy to use.

Cutlery

When bringing food that can be eaten with tableware. You can use any type of spoon, fork, or chopsticks, but the "spoke" type, which allows you to use both spoons and forks, is relatively convenient. However, I have not yet found the best weapon that combines length optimized for a deep bottom cooker with ease of storage and ease of eating.

Sunscreen

The top of the mountain is highly UV rays and acts in sunlight for a long time, so sunscreen is almost a must. UV-blocking lip balm is also effective.

sunglasses

It's not that you can't walk in the mountains unless you're walking in the mountains in the summer, but since UV rays on the mountains are not underestimated, some people may find it quite painful for their eyes. Of course, this is a must-have equipment during the remaining snow season.

camera

Depending on your preferences and physical strength.

radio

I usually take it with me to listen to NHK weather reports and write a weather map, but it is also useful as a weather forecast the next day or later, and as a way to collect information when you are lost. It may be a waste to force yourself to take it with you even though you don't take a day hike or a weather map.

whistle

I don't think there will be any scenes where this is just a hike, but I have it as a charm to use it if you need to make a loud noise when you get lost in the mountains. By the way, when climbing rocks or streams, it is useful for signaling when the waterfall or wall is up and down when the opponent is invisible.

Basin equipment

You can find what you need according to the situation, such as hot springs after descending the mountain or contact lenses.

Sewing set

It's safe to have a minimum of thread, needles, and a fastener that can be repaired in the unlikely event. You also need to be flexible and can do something even if it's not at all.

Pocket wet tissue

Water is precious in mountains, so it would be nice if there was something that could be wiped down quickly. It is also useful as a towel when attaching contacts.

Repellent insects

It's not surprising that you're too nervous, but in some mountain areas, insects are erupting violently.

Kumari

Bears are highly wary animals, and it is said that bear bells are effective because if they hear the sound of bells and make them aware that there are humans there, they will run away from them. However, not all bears will escape if they hear the sound of bells, and it depends on the bell's personality and circumstances, and large numbers of bells ringing bells in less dangerous mountain areas can also degrade the excitement of other climbers. For this reason, I prefer not to use it anywhere else on a place with a lot of bears or on deep mountain courses.

summary

When you try to get all the tools on the vest side, you'll feel sad at the number of Yukichi flying through, but fantasies don't cost you money! In reality, there are other things that you can add, such as camera-related gear, but this time I've omitted these special gear and tried to make the most basic choice possible. Of course, there is a bias. Each person has their own preferences for mountain tools, and it's fun to learn about the particulars of different people. I hope this will help you with your ideal list of gear!
